• Lawrence (8/5): Incredible location - lovely place for a one night Auckland stop over. Would 10/10 recommend - Brilliant location, exactly what we needed before our flight the next morning. Nice and spacious and clean. Was great to be able to use the washing machine after a week of campervaning Such a picky comment, but the only thing we would say would be the lightly was slightly strange. Couldn’t really put my finger on it. It was either darkness, or sterile hospital feeling - which was amplified at night.
• Murray (8/5): Our stay was amazing and all that we needed for my birthday. - I loved everything. We booked a room, but had to arrange for another. The view was amazing. Bed was comfortable and warm. Service was great. Staff was great. There was no body wash in the dispenser but we just used the shampoo and conditioner. The room we booked wasn't the room we got but we got to get it in the end.
• Edward (5/5): Fantastic location but needs a refresh - Love the location as it is close to the main transport hub comprising the train station and various bus terminals. Comfortable bed that gave us good night sleeps. The shower in our room leaked when taking a shower, and to make situation worse the usual towel for the floor was not provided on the first night (one was provided the next day). Had to use a bath towel to soak up the leak that flowed to the entrance way. Couldn't watch broadcast TV (TV One, Two and Three) as the antenna cable was not connected to the TV because it was broken. Didn't report it because I did not have the confidence that it would be fixed as there appeared to be only one staff, the receptionist. A rack to drain the dishes after hand washing them would have been helpful.

• mkelzke (8/5): Location location and comfort - The location was fantastic. The apartment had everything we needed. Comfy couch and nice 2 seater dining table. Kitchen was well appointed with plenty of cupboard spaces and utensils. Bathroom was a good size with largish shower recess, washing machine and dryer. Bed was comfortable and a good amount of cupboard scace. The elevator was a good size. A few minor points. Bedroom sheer curtains needed replacing. Toilet roll holder awkwardly located. The bedroom cupboard sliding door would not stay on it's bottom roller.
• Louise (8/5): A neat, clean, comfy apartment in the best city location. - Fantastic central location, spacious, clean, reasonably comfortable lounge and bed, good kitchen, mobility bathroom with handles, no steps. Security access. Mattress topper provided on request for comfort. Helpful staff member. Some damaged tiles and poor maintenance. Slowish lift. Expensive but ok for central city.

THE PLACE SHOULD BE TURNED INTO A BACKPACKERS OR DEMOLISHED - Nothing My partner and I booked a weekend stay and were disappointed from the moment we arrived. The reception, lifts, and room were all tired and run-down — not what we expected for the price. The bigger issue was noise. Nobody warned us that several loud nightclubs operate directly below the hotel. With only single-glazed windows, the bass was so intense the bed vibrated, and the clubs don't close until 4am. When I called reception at midnight to request a room move, I was told nothing could be done until morning — unhelpful when you're trying to sleep. We gave up and checked out the next morning, only to then face 8am construction noise that made sleeping in impossible anyway. To make matters worse, we'd pre-booked two nights' parking through the hotel but were charged an extra $72 by Wilson Parking on departure due to an unclear ticket validation process that nobody explained to us. We're now having to chase a refund. Booking.com refunded our second night, but the first night's cost, lost sleep, and a wasted day in Auckland made this a thoroughly unpleasant experience. We won't be returning or recommending this hotel.

• Eileen (9/5): Great little place to stay in the heart of Auckland - The location was great on lower Queen St - with excellent access to the CBD. The room was a good size - for an apartment, with a small balcony. Very compacted but fitted everything in. It was starting to get a bit tired, lift is slow and the manning of reception was variable. But the positives meant that these things were minor.

• Marekgl (9/5): Downtown Auckland - The Quest on Queen is an apartment hotel in Auckland's CBD, close to the ferry terminals and the railway station. Shops, restaurants and cafes in close proximity add to this convenient location. The property does not have 24h reception, and an early arrival on a Sunday morning entails a wait until after 8:00 am. Reception staff are nevertheless kind and helpful. I would stay at Quest on Queen again in the future.

• John (9/5): Will be back. A small glitch which is fixable. - Easy access to the wharf. Felt safe. Comfortable and well appointed Heater only blasted cold air. Had to put our jackets on in the evening as the weather had turned cold. During the day we were not affected but it was too cold not to have a heater.

• Kateřina (10/5): Krásný výhled, skvělá lokalita. - Lokalita naprosto úžasná. Měli jsme štěstí na pokoj a dostali úžasný výhled na přístav. Koupelna už něco pamatuje, ale vše bylo čisté s funkční. A navíc k poměru k ceně v pohodě.

The room was very clean and comfortable. Great to have fresh milk in the fridge for tea/coffee. Small balcony. The room itself was quiet couldn't hear anyone next day or using lift etc. However, as it was a Saturday when we arrived back from our event at midnight,the nightclub below was in full swing and very loud. Though we did sleep. Nightclub below. Bathroom could do with a bit of an update. Was very clean though.

• mark (6/5): Ok, close to down town wharf areas - Location Air con AC condensation pump, is installed next to air con, and starts up every now and then and woke us up through the night, had to turn AC off, but due to road and city noise couldn’t open windows, and even though the unit was described as “1 bedroom” there was no door to close, so sweltered on a hot AK night.

The bed was not good for somebody with back issues or going to have back issues after they lay on the bed.

Staff bent over backwards to take care of you. This place was perfect. Being downtown the noise does carry up bouncing off the tall buildings, but this did not reflect on the hotel at all.

• Fotopoulos (10/5): Lovely hotel, very conveniently located and friendly staff. - The location is very convenient to shops, restaurants, entertainment. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. Unfortunately, we had someone in and out of the stairs allowing the door to slam, consistently even after midnight. Also a club near by we could here the music until early hours in the morning. Over all the hotel is very nice and happy to stay again, on the other side though. Our friend's room couldn't hear the music.

Il y a de l'animation autour surtout le soir du nouvel an et c'est normal mais la chambre est assez bien insonorisée.

• dean (7/5): A quick visit flew Christmas day and flew home boxing day. - The Shower best ever had from other motels. the water pressure was great. Location excellent so close to the viaduct. It wasn't noisy even though the streets were busy and being Christmas day. Just reception lady could have been a bit friendlier.
