The one bedroom apartment that I stayed in was extremely comfortable and had a homely feel. The staff were fantastic and very helpful and the location was within walking distance to everything I needed. I would definitely stay at Aligned again before anywhere else in Mackay. Thank you for making me feel so welcome and I look forward to being back there again soon. There was absolutely nothing that I didn’t like about Aligned, my stay was faultless

Kitchen was not very well equipped. Charge of $25 to park. Tiny balcony with a view of the back of shops. Quite small for an apartment, and not good value for money compared to other properties in Mackay.

- Judy (8/5): Well set up and spacious living space and kitchen close to event centre. - Excellent living space, well set up. The location. Ability to go out to the balcony. Staff. Nice to have a two bedroom apt. with two bathrooms. The bedrooms lack a bureau or any sort of cabinet to put things on (except for inside the cupboard). A stand for a suitcase would be welcome. The rooms are advertised as 'soundproof' but the soundproofing leaves a little to be desired. A room next to the lifts hears the mechanism. Doors are very loud closing.

I did not like that after reception was closed you couldnt acess anything such as milk, tea, coffee or facilities such as the roof top tearrace bbq area to smoke or that there was no balcony in the single bed standard room. Made the room have no air flow.

The rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are lovely and thoughtful, and I really appreciate the effort they make to welcome back return customers :)
- annasT6653UR (6/5): Good basic stay close to amenities - I stayed in a 1 bedroom studio for 2 weeks. My impressions: Clean, neat, tidy, no odours. Useful kitchenette with 2 saucepans, chopping board and decent knife, kitchen tools. Useful wardrobe with shelves and clothes hangers. Also ironing board and iron. Safe provided for valuables. 2 bath towels, face washers, 1 bath mat, 1 hand towel. Ants in the kitchen (bench) and bed intermittently. Mini bar fridge with a tiny freezer compartment. Fridge freezes contents even on lowest setting. Internet very slow most times, sometimes websites won’t even load. Noisy outside due to aircon units, but good sound proofing- reasonably quiet once windows are closed. Good blockout curtains, although bright light comes through under the gap of the front door (from corridor). My room- bright, sunny, warm on cold winter’s day. Corridors are quiet. I don’t see or hear other residents. Level 2 has rooftop garden- concrete area with tables, BBQ, chairs and umbrella shade. Good undercover parking, easy access. Close to shops and amenities, cafes. Not much street noise at all, including at night and on weekends.

- Joshua (3/5): Poor communication and unapologetic staff, absolutely not worth the $220 for one night - On the drive up from Brisbane we were told that there would be no night shift on when we arrived at the accomodation and was given a code to retrieve our room key from the front of the building. The code provided was wrong and we couldn’t get in the building. The assistance/emergency phone number provided did not answer after being on hold for over 10 minutes and we had no other way to get in contact with someone who worked in the building. By a stroke of luck we ran into the lady who owns the Greek restaurant next door who had the contact number for someone who works at the hotel and she was able to get them to let us in and retrieve our key. The worker was not apologetic at all and we discovered that one of the digits in the code we had been sent was wrong after all. If it wasn’t for the lady we met we wouldn’t have been able to get in and stay at the room we booked and paid for. We were travelling with a dog and had been driving for over 12 hours so this was not the experience we were wanting to have after a long day of driving. At the time of writing this review we have still not heard back from the hotel either via email or booking.com which we sent frantic messages to trying to ask for help to get access to our room. Will not be booking here again
