The cost of the unit was pretty good too. We got a garden view unit which backs onto the main road to 1770 so there was a slight road noise. It also looked across the lawn to a couple of unit patios. Neither was a problem but it could be during busy times. It was no biggy for us.

• Sara (9/5): Wonderful Stay - Excellent clean and spacious self contained unit. Home away from home. Loved the pools and it was very family friendly. Close to everything and the staff were absolutely lovely. Will definitely be back :) The only thing I would suggest is providing extra pool towels for guests but that’s honestly a minor thing.

• Holmes (9/5): High quality apartment, definitely value for money. - The one bedroom pool side apartment was very generous sized, modern and well maintained high standard and all on a single level. Offers connection between the inside and outside seating and dining areas with pool views, A/C and ceiling fans. Full size kitchen and laundry facilities. Property has multiple pools, one heated, grassed and garden area with deck chairs and BBQ. The heated pool meant we could swim comfortably even though the sun was not always shining for us. Apartment shares a common wall though didn't notice any sound transfer. Resident Manager Gary is on hand for any minor issues you may have, he fixed our TV reception withing a few hours. Edge on Beaches was a fantastic choice. You do need a car to get around, to the restaurants, shops (IGA supermarket), local pub/tavern etc. of Agnes Water or tours departing from 1770, though only a 5 minute drive in either direction.

Tv had no volume control and was unable to turn off. Needed to unplug/plug in to use. Manager advised they needed to get a technician in for this. This was not repaired over a 4 night stay, no compensation was offered. Barbecue was not very clean and drip trays needed emptying badly. Fans could do with a clean.

• Debra (7/5): Pretty Ordinary - The unit was spacious, bed was comfy, linens were good. We had a "garden view" unit and it wasn't much of a garden...not well maintained and beyond the trees and shrubs was a busy road. It was away from the pool area which is good or bad depending on whether or not you want to be looking onto the pool area and at other units outdoor sitting areas. I preferred the former. However, the unit next to us was very visible - in other words, no privacy from your next door neighbours without closing your blinds which made the space very dim and clausterphobic IMHO. Not a unit you want to spend much time in and the walk to the beach may be a bit far for older folks or disabled people. And a big pet peeve was the plastic dishware in the kitchen. Not impressed at all by that. This place is dated but the price is right, so there is a trade-off.

• Danielle (8/5): Fantastic location, clean comfortable and spacious apartments - Edges is in an awesome location in between 1770 and Agnes Waters so it’s a 3 minute walk to the beach and less than 5 minutes either way driving to the restaurants ( recommend The Rusty Pelican & the 1770 Beach Hotel ) Our apartment was spacious and very clean with direct access to the pool area. Having a carport is a bonus as well as a washing machine and dryer. Gary the manager is very friendly and offered us an early check in

• katrina (1/5): Mouldy room and attitude - Loved the location and the pools. The first afternoon, we used dettol wipes to clean mould out of the basin. After scrubbing it, it was still quite stained with mould. After the first night,my Wife's sinuses were really bad and I had headaches,I noticed the air-conditioning had thick white and black mould, we immediately turned it off and looked closer,used a wipe to wipe a small area inside and it was so thick and gross. We went to speak to reception and let them know, looked up at the air-conditioning that was blasting in reception, and it was worse than the one in our room! We rang the bell and were greeted by a voice. Who is it? We said room 38,and the voice replied, "What do you want?" He came out and was not impressed because we clearly disturbed him eating. We told him our issue and he asked to see the photos. He told us to go back to our room, and Tony would come and see us. Tony looked in the air-conditioning and asked if we would be happy to sleep in a different room for the night and they get someone to clean it in the morning. We said no ,we would like to be moved to a different room and said that the basin had mould and on the wall under the table was covered in mould. Tony said that the air-conditioning units had only been cleaned 6 months ago and admitted that they had had trouble with mould in that room before,and special paint was used to kill the mould. Tony apologised and offered us a voucher to use in the future. We were moved to a different unit and was told we won't have issues with that room as the owners were in there only two weeks ago. If we had not already had an afternoon drink, we would have left and just gone home as my wife was feeling terrible with her sinuses. The following morning, my Wife managed to get an urgent phone appointment with the gp and got some antibiotics to help her sinuses . When checking out, we spoke to the guy in reception, who we had rudely interrupted when he was eating.
• Susan (7/5): Good facilities but room needed upgrade. - Lovely staff and allowed early check in which was important as I was working in town. Bed very comfortable. Air con should be in bedroom as well. No way to make the bedroom dark for sleeping in the morning as the window above the shower had no blind and there was not door between bathroom and bedroom. Lounge was old and stained and there was dust behind the TV. Had an awful musty smell in the room as well.

Pool right outside the room. So nice. If l was to have some constructive criticism l felt the pool could have been a little cleaner. In saying this they had the vacumn in it the second day of our stay. Overall a lovely stay and would highly recommend it to others. Would definately stay there again.

We loved it so much we actually returned to stay again. Beach 5 min walk. Heated pool. Great bbq to cook with. Manager is absolutely great. Neighbours. Loud. Laughing and talking loudly until midnight. In the garden. Wasn't great. They were enjoying themselves and thats great. But not at the expense of other guests.
