Guest Reviews
- Zaid (8/5): -
- susanne (3/5): It was a good price but not up to an expected standard. - Breakfast was okay and location bed was comfortable Needs maintenance … very old
Room was very small
- Julia (8/5): Very pleased we found this motel, nice. - We had a nice stay at Cowra Motor Inn, arrived late and left early. Sewmi greeted us upon arrival, nice that he was still in reception at that time. Very convenient location, walking distance to the main street for dinner. The room was very well presented, the bed was comfortable, nice having bedside table & lamp on each side (some don;t!) The refreshments were fully stocked even with a little Mars bar treat. The shower was really good, hot & strong, at a good height, a nice change.

- mace (10/5): -
- Peter (10/5): - Easy access clean and warm
- Karl (8/5): -
- Kublick (7/5): -
- Geoff Walker (2/5): Room was poorly maintained. - First room key I received was for a room that had not been cleaned or made up. The next room I was allocated was very poorly cleaned and lots of small bugs in the room (although there was a can of bug spray!)
- Hans (5/5): Not recommended - Beds were comfortable and surprisingly the towels were the fluffiest I have ever had. To start, they had our booking down as the following day but fortunately the room was available. There were many empty rooms available which speaks for itself as far as the quality of this property. Once again, this was not a true two bedroom with a single and double in the main living area and two singles in the bedroom. The whole property is very old and needs refreshing. There was no heating in the bathroom, paint was peeling, tiles missing and tape was holding a vent together. The air con was very old and extremely noisy. Breakfast consisted of help yourself corn flakes or coco pops, toast, tea and coffee.
- Wendy (7/5): The motel suited our needs for a one night stopover. - Location. Having breakfast included was very convenient, although very basic. Left a packet of bread rolls on bench and discovered they were riddled with ants in the morning.
Room was very small for 2 people.
- Dennis (8/5): Very good value for money and close to everything. - Breakfast was included as was very good, good variety of food available Parking, was on motorcycle and I don’t like gravel carparks

- Starr (7/5): -
- Garry & Claudia (9/5): - Price and the continental breakfast
- Chelsea (8/5): To be expected - cleaning schedule for my 2 week stay was good Hardly ever a receptionist there
- Tim (5/5): ok - booking said, free cotangential breakfast, no breakfast in room, and left way before breakfast dining open
- Wayne (8/5): Everything you needfor an overnight stay, Coles right next door - Well appointed room with everything I needed for a one night stay, room was compact but comfortable As I was riding a motorcycle, the driveway and parking area is gravel, little un-nervey moving the bike around
- Russell (6/5): Great for when passing through - The inn surprised me with its neatly presented room, an OK bed, a TV, a microwave, a small fridge, and good WiFi. The bathroom also has a bar heater for those cold mornings. There was also an OK continental breakfast, cereal, yogurt, juice, small selection of tea/coffee, and bread for toast (with spreads). There is a window in the bathroom that you can't close, letting in cold outside air. Also, leading into the bathroom there was a small lip that I tripped over.
- Daniel (9/5): -
- Daryl (8/5): -
- Ida (4/5): - Breakfast was good , lovely warm and cosy on a cold morning Furniture looks like it was back in the sixties
Tables in dining room are past use by date
- David (4/5): -
- Peter (7/5): -
- John (7/5): - I left before breakfast nothing
- Scott (8/5): -
- Louise (5/5): - Noisy pool pump all night by our room

- Carl (10/5): Came to Cowra for a funeral. Was able ti walk to the church and the bowling club. Will stay there again. Great price. - Great location not far from the riverside park, Coles and the main street. All good.
- Kathy (9/5): Great place to stay..excellent breakfast room...helpful staff...very comfortable! - Very happy...was there for four nights! Room was great...tidied every day...great breakfast room! Very helpful staff! Highly recommend! :-)
- Robyn (5/5): Would not stay here again. - Bed was comfortable and shower pressure was good but shower very pokey Reception not manned had to call to get someone to come to the motel. Very dated, rooms in need of major update. No iron provided
- Smith (10/5): - Everything very friendly
- Graham (7/5): Ok for my purposes premises need some general maintenance. Will stay again next year - Room was basic but clean and suitable for my short stay. The premises were well stocked for a quick snack TV was crap took ages to come on then switched off and took ages for me to get it to work again. However next morning turned it on and worked straight away. Unit may need attention as an ex TV tech I believe it has an internal fault possibly intermittent. Very annoying when I would have liked to catch up on the sport on Sat night
- Paul (8/5): great - an older practical good size room with real bathroom tiles and good shower. proper height sink meaning it's accessible for short people and kids instead of the modern sinks at a metre off the floor
- Weller (8/5): -
- Amber (10/5): - The convience to the town centre Liked it all
- Evans (2/5): CHECK THE ROOM FIRST ... - A toaster was there loaves off Bread and a kettle..
Cereal and milk . Very Basic. No stars for ROOM 15
NEEDS EPA REPORT .
STENCH OVERWHELMING YOU CAN SMELL IT OUTSIDE YET THEY STILL PUT Weary travellers in .
- Michael (8/5): Typical country motor inn, good location, nice and clean, good pool. - Good location, rooms on the small side but fine. Nothing really
- AMANDA (8/5): - Very peaceful, amazing staff, felt at home. WiFi was not working
- IanBahr (8/5): The Japanese Gardens and POW camp worth the visit a must for all to see. - Location was good and central to most places in town and all within walking distances. POW Camp is good to see how it all happen during the war and to try and think what it was like. Japanese Gardens is also worth the look very tranquil the day I when there.
- Alan (8/5): Value for money good location - Would stay again . Good location and price.
- Jose (7/5): -
- Yvette (8/5): -
- Jayne (6/5): -
- Khaled (5/5): - Breakfast not tried
Room was really small bed was not that comfy . Over priced
- Helen (3/5): Less than average - Location was the best part
Reception staff was very friendly Rooms very old bathroom very tight Toilet behind the door
Cupboards doors off hinges
Beds very hard
Breakfast !!!! No knives to spread anything on your toast
No refrigerator for milk
Only choice toast or cereal. No yoghurt or fruit
Not really even a continental breakfast very disappointed
- Lee (7/5): It was fine for one night. - Didn’t have the breakfast. First floor accommodation. Two young blokes doing a drug deal in the car park , they were staying in room 17.
- Yvonne Lonsdale (9/5): Clean and comfortable - Expectations of a budget priced motel fully met! No complaints
- Kelli-Lee (1/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- William (6/5): -
- Natasha (5/5): Not much to say - Affordable Rooms were not as pictured on line
- Paul (6/5): -
- Kevin (8/5): -
- Gary (4/5): Find somewhere else to stay. - Not much to like about the room. Sheets were clean. Nothing in the way of a welcome when checking in - I had booked 8 rooms after all. The room itself was very tired, with a bathroom that looked untouched for 50 years. The AC unit barely worked and I've had warmer nights camping in winter! 'Breakfast' was provided - but there's no way of knowing just how long the bowls of bran flakes have been sat in the rooms or the bread in the fridge (!) All up, the place was one where minimum effort was the goal. Having recently stayed in far superior rooms in Orange - for less outlay - put the Cowra experience into focus.
- Anthony (7/5): Pleasant enough - Convenient location
Reasonable room , relatively quiet location
Good rates Bed light wasn’t working/ broken.
Needed a thorough vacuum
- Matt (7/5): -
- tim (1/5): Manure wouldn't put a dog there - Ntg no staff, no available contact . Minus 2 outside. No heating in room , sewerage ventilation stunk , open windows that couldn't be closed .... Every thing
- peter (1/5): crap room. old and dilapidated - unhygienic. cold room, noisy a/c heater that struggled to heat the room. uncomfortable bed, 1 blanket, no hospitality by staff at check in. photos on internet not indicative of the actual room. Don't waste your time or money. not good. nothing. best part was leaving.
- Cynthia (5/5): Average - Locality Room size, cereal was stale
- Warren (8/5): -
- Nugent (1/5): - Nothing I never stayed there I made the booking and within 5 minutes of booking our travel plans changed contacted the motel straight away. Got told I needed to cancel the booking thru bookings.com.au because that were I made the booking they can't do it for. Go onto bookings to cancel to find out the cancellation goes thru the motel not bookings.com and I still haven't gotten a response from them. That they have made no effort in responding to me or even attempted
- Dympna (9/5): -
- Cindy (5/5): Clean, easy to find, but no parking and the included breakfast wasnt the best. - Easy to find and bed was comfy
My daughter did spill some water on the bed, i messaged in to let them know (no one in the office) and they were very nice about it. No parking - I traveled with my 9 year old Daughter, when we returned at night after dinner there were no parks inside, we had to park on the street and walk in the dark to our room, it was pretty scary - one reason i picked this was because it said there was parking, otherwise i would have gone elsewhere
Breakfast was included, but it was cereal in bowls with gladwrap over them... no idea how long they have been there and no choice in what we wanted - you can buy small individual boxes of different things at woolies... no idea why these were done up like this - we had some hot chocolate but didn't eat the breakfast that was included.
- Adam (4/5): -
- kathleen (7/5): -
- Angela (3/5): Time to spend some money on the place and provide what is advertised. - Location Old and needs a major renovation. Advertised as a queen room and only had a double bed. Got night and unable to open any windows as they were stuck. Possibly the world’s loudest air conditioner so could t leave it on to sleep.
- Ally (5/5): -
- Gerry (5/5): Was only just tolerable- not comfortable - The fact that we got a room at short notice ** Floor was dirty around bed
** Staff at reception were curt and dismissive
** Bed was poorly sprung- caused partner to fall/drift into heavier partner's cavity
** Bedhead lamps did not work (fluorescent tubes and switches needed replacement/repair)
** Bedhead lamp housing was too low (could not sit up without it digging into back of head)
** Panelling in bathroom was broken and hanging off wall
** Bathroom was very pokey- toilet was very confining
** insufficient crockery and cutlery provide for breakfast use of all tenants
- Jones (6/5): Average containment comfortable but very basic could’ve afforded more at that level three - This was very simple very straightforward minimal frills but quite well catered to The air-conditioner was very noisy and I had to do adjustments to quieten it down but at the same time keeping a room reasonably comfortable
- Courtney (3/5): Would not recommend - Extremely small outdated rooms. Paid for a queen room and it was only a double. Had paper covering the window on the door that still had holes in it. Mould in the shower
- Stephen (7/5): -
- Clare (8/5): Room was clean and comfortable. Shower/bathroom was upgraded and very good - amazing hot shower. - Convenience. Stairs - but they weren’t a problem as we were only staying one night.
- Gabrielle (3/5): Very disappointing - Didn't stay. It was over priced for poorly cleaned, small rooms. Bed covers faded or possibly dirty. There were bugs in the room. Run down. Shower curtain stained. Air conditioning old and noisy. Only one fire evacuation point, even for second floor residences which l think is really dangerous. We are non smokers but had to walk past smokers and unemptied trays of butts.
- Clark (7/5): Comfortable stay. - It was very good value to have the included breakfast. Nearly hit my head on a low roof eave, so that’s a safety concern that needs looking at.
- Brooke (4/5): - The bed was so comfortable like that it was just the room but the bathroom was small no smoke detector and the coffee mugs were dirty
Ants in the bathroom
No shade at the pool
- Marjorie (8/5): -
- anthony (8/5): -
- Moss (7/5): -
- Maria (9/5): -
- mandie (1/5): Never going there again - The cleaner was polite There was no paid streaming service
No plates or bowls, we had to ask numerous times for them
The continental breakfast was stale
There was a huge wasp nest in the pool area and no shading from the direct sun.
- Janet (6/5): It was OK for the price and close to the CBD! - The bed was too hard. The cleanliness was very average. There were ants on the kitchen bench area and some of the bathroom needed better cleaning! The contential breakfast area was scarce and they only supplied the bare minimum of food in the continental breakfast and they ran out of coffee! There was only light milk on the second morning. They ran out of cups. There was no labelling for the b.fast cereal. No juice or fruit was provided. The room had tables that were old and in terrible condtion! The fridge needed defrosting in the freezer with no ice makers provided 🫣 What I did like was the sheets towels and pillows were clean and comfortable. It was a good price. The shower area was clean with good water pressure. The air conditioner worked well!
- Maree (3/5): - Liked location, and that there was a clean pool. Ants coming up the drain in bathroom, toilet windows permanently open, mould in shower, reading lights were brighter than the main room light.
- Andrew (7/5): -
- Amy (10/5): -
- Peta (9/5): -
- Henry (3/5): Am recommending to everyone to NOT stay at this place - The motel sucks you in with its "breakfast included" thing but the breakfast is very ordinary, not what I expect VERY small room.
- John (8/5): -
- Terence (5/5): -
- Prashanth (7/5): - Value for money. Available for last minute reservations. Bathrooms were pretty old with plumbing and drain pipes running through from inside.
- Justine (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff Convenient and very clean
- Glenn (10/5): - Great hot shower and a soft bed, what more could you ask for. It was sad that they were booked out for the next night.
- Didier (7/5): Good stopover motel but very basic - Location and safety Very basic and old
- Duffy (8/5): It was perfect for a short stay - Very central
Parking Shower head loose
- Hollingworth (9/5): I had a good nights sleep and was comfortable, I enjoyed the free biscuits and coffee in the morning - I didn't stay for breakfast I had to leave early in the morning. The water temperature of the shower kept changing while I was having a shower, but not a major problem.
