- Ann (9/5): Great place for a relaxed stay - A former motel that has been renovated stylishly. There's a pool and barbecue area, plus a gym, sauna and ice bath! The location is ideal, just a 10 minute walk to the centre of town and the beach. We were in the disabled room and there was no sink in the kitchenette, just the bathroom basin. Not sure if this applies to all rooms.

- Trevor (6/5): Here we are now, a container..... - The Med is in a great location. Our accommodation was clean and the late check in process was easy and greatly appreciated. Communication from the staff was great. The pool, BBQ area etc are really nice. Our accommodation was part of a shipping container. While amusing and interesting at first it meant we were super cramped. You can't even put something on a table, there's no room. Be aware that the dimensions of the accom on Booking.com is in feet, not metres. There's no mention of a shipping container on the site that I can see. You can't swing a cat, the shower has no door and a glass ledge that makes a wash a wild ride. Whoever took the photos for the site deserves a raise, what is shown is not what we got. We also had some difficulty as we couldn't lock the front door with the key, the latch was jammed. This meant anyone could have paid us a visit and when we left to go into town the place was unsecured. It also meant our toddler could get outside to the veranda that has a no railings and a small drop. I assume that the other rooms are quite nice, but heads up the "family bungalow" will ensure you and the family are very well acquainted by morning.

Good facilities in bathroom for person with mobility issues such as grab rails and room for wheelchair. Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast availability as part of package. Had to go down town. - Maria (8/5): - Comfortable for an overnight stay. Our first visit to Crescent Head so didn't realise that grocery shop closed at 5.30pm(maybe a winter thing) so snacks in the room came in handy. Good restaurant open across the road. Not used to reception closing at 5pm which however is mentioned when booking. Have since discovered that having a person at reception is not the norm anymore.

The container-converted 2-bedroom felt much more squeezing than it looked. The bunk bed screeched on every single movement. The bathroom lacks privacy with door looking right through the front door to the outside, and windows with clear glasses which can be looked through from the container upstairs. TV existed but didn’t really work (functionally and in usability). Contact number on booking didn’t work; had to look up from google.
