Guest Reviews
- Rajesh (4/5): - Not clean and no oven. Carpet is dirty and not pleasant. Gate sound is loud outside even we can hear people talking outside my room.
- Maria (10/5): - Enjoyable stay. We had a ground floor room so it was very convenient. The room was spacious and had everything that is needed for a stay. The bed was really comfortable with nice linen and extra blankets
were available. There were two pillows per person.
The light was bright and there were bedside lights as well.Large desk and a table with chairs were nice to have. The bathroom was large and the water pressure was very good. Would recommend that accommodation to others. The outside is magical at night. We had our evening meals in the pub and they were delicious. It was lovely to chat with Ross and learn more about the Warren family.
- Peta (6/5): - Property and room was as pictured. Check in was fast and easy. Ideal location, short drive to Kiama or Shellharbour.
- Paul (10/5): - Excellent all around
- struan (10/5): - All good.
- Vlad (10/5): - Very clean and quiet. Lovely place.

- Annette (8/5): - Quiet and comfortable!
- Lisa (10/5): - We enjoyed the property, being our second visit. We enjoyed dinner too. The bed was very comfortable, we will visit again.
- Maria (10/5): - The room was comfortable and clean other than the exhaust fan in the bathroom.
Good location. Lovely village atmosphere.
Staff were helpful.
The only complaint would be the noisy dog next door.
- Robert (8/5): Room overlooking the courtyard.Above the pub. - We stayed in a room upstairs with little balcony. Not much privacy between balconies.Room a little dark.It was clean.Pub downstairs with lots of memorabilia of Johnny Warren. We ate in the pub the food was very average.Might have been seeing it was a monday. We liked the area good IGA across the road and coffeeshop.
- 654ginnyf (10/5): Great place to lay your head. - We stayed here for 3 nights as our daughter was getting married locally. The pub has character and the staff helpful & friendly. Very quiet at night and centrally located. There is a beer garden behind the pub and the motel rooms front onto it but still quiet. Lots of parking.Super comfortable beds!
- Johannes (8/5): - Gorgeous little country town. Very peaceful, motel accom out the back is comfortable and well appointed. The accom inside the pub is old school country pub accom. No AC in the pub rooms. Share batrlhroom facilities.
- James (8/5): - Reasonable price for basic but adequate accommodation. Pub has character but dining areas a little bland. Food at the pub was pretty poor though I have to say.
- John (10/5): - Accommodation is fine. I dined in the hotel bistro which is also fine. I can't comment on the surrounding area as I only stayed one night and did not look around the town.
- Lisa (10/5): - We loved the property and the surrounding area. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room had a very comfortable bed and the shower had good pressure and temperature.
- Craig (8/5): - An affordable alternative when spending the weekend down the South Coast. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, and in a great location with great coffee next door and an IGA across the road
- Glenn (10/5): - Rooms were comfortable. Location was fantastic and pub was such a fantastic place.
Staff were friendly and the memorabilia is out of this world.
A must for all Football fans.
Love it.
- KAROLINE (10/5): - Nice stay, food was great
- Peter (10/5): - Stayed 3 nights - Wednesday to Friday - in May. It was very quiet at night and I slept well in a comfortable bed. Nice meals at the pub and enjoyed a few beers in the relaxed atmosphere of the bar. Handy to the Jamberoo Croquet Club which was the purpose of my visit.
- 904agnesc (10/5): Nice place. - The rooms are behind the main building. Stairs to get to the upper floors. Large room, well equipped and clean. Good bed and the place is quiet at night. The restaurant serves delicious meals - and at an affordable price. A nice place to stay at.
- Stephen (10/5): - Nice clean room and pub service was great,
- Peter (8/5): - Gr8 pub in a gr8 town
- Kerry (10/5): - Nice evening at the pub for afternoon drinks and dinner
- Royce (10/5): - Always love staying here. Comfortable and convenient in a really great area
- Scott (10/5): - We enjoyed the quiet laid back feel of the pub, staff were friendly and fun to chat with, food was great, bed and room was clean and neat, we had a great afternoon and night, would happily recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend.
- Mark (10/5): Comfortable and easy - GOOD:
* Great location near Jamberoo Action Park
* Spacious room with extra bedroom
* Bathroom was spacious
* Balcony was great
* Lots of bird sounds in the morning
* Cutlery and plates were very handy
* Microwave oven was great
* Easy layout of carpark - easy to drive out
* Quiet
BAD:
* Female staff member chose to take a phone call (a booking) instead of serving the customer (me) in front of her. I had to wait while she did the whole booking/took credit card details. The staff member should have put the phone customer on hold while she served me first.
* Fridge was too small (very mini fridge)
- John (6/5): - The Guinness was excellent, the food was pretty average. Motel room was OK but decor getting dated and tired. Staff were great, very friendly
- Nicola (8/5): - It was quiet and comfortable.
- Sunita (10/5): - Absolutely love this place, the view was amazing people are so nice also food was great so close to tourists attraction's and pice of the motel was relatively cheap, the front of the motel may not look so great but you get to stay at the back of the motel which is separate and really nice, will definitely come again.
- Michael (2/5): - They accepted my money as an after hours cehck in, but then could not be contacted and no one was at the property for me to actually gain access. I had to book another hotel elsewhere.
No issue if you cant accompany late arrivals, but dont take their money after hours if you cant provide them with the service.
They then refused to refund me. Literally fraud.
- John (10/5): - A great country stay with lovely friendly people and gorgeous views just outside.
- Brenton (6/5): - Room in motel was fine, clean and tidy. Pub was pretty ordinary. Food was very average, had to eat by 7pm or you miss out, beers were warm.
- Heather (10/5): - Liked everything there was nothing not like
- R4707EBsteveg (8/5): Jamberoo pub hotel rooms - Well appointed comfy rooms. Nice comfy bed. Wonderful staff and of course access to a great pub with a great bistro. Stayed 7 nights which cost me a bit but enjoyed my stay very much. Highly recommended
- Alex (10/5): - I do not write reviews.
- JohnbNewcastle (2/5): Seriously bad - Stayed here as we were to do a course locally. The room is small but also dirty and needs a good clean. The bathroom and shower are disgusting with black mould on the wall and ceiling, the fan doesn’t work. The stain on the bedside table is goodness knows what. The whole place needs and good clean and a make over.
- Robert (6/5): - Room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
- Kylie (10/5): - Was absolutely amazing!
Beautiful place and awesome, friendly staff.
Best steak I’ve ever had!
Worth checking out.
- Teirry (8/5): - It's all the essential amenities. Food at the Bistro is great. A place
full of history and stories.
- Siddharth (8/5): - Pleasant Experience!! Convenient location, decent rooms!!
- Andrew (10/5): - Great spot, supermarket over the road, and a bakery 2 doors down opens early for coffee.
- Lesley (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay but were surprised by the lack of facilities in the kitchen area e.g. no toaster or microwave. we were also surprised that our room was not serviced following our first night's stay e.g. the bed was not made, and the milk in the fridge was not topped up. Apart from this we found the room very comfortable.
- karene230 (4/5): Unfortunately room 2 had stale smoke n stunk badly… my mum had asthma so we had to let air in…. Disappointing - Disappointing our room had stale smoke and stunk badly we had a family reunion on and my mum had asthma so we didn’t have time to go n see management and didn’t want an upstairs room… another room of our cousins also stunk of smoke not sure if in the linen or aircon ?
- Redcliffe13569 (10/5): Thank you so much. - I just want to say thanks to Jamie and staff who went out of their way to assist me and my friend last weekend. My friend became quite ill while we were having a drink on Saturday and the staff were so helpful assisting in every way possible. She was I’ll through the night and next day. I rang for a late checkout and Jamie welcomed us to stay as long as we needed. Again thanks for everything and we’ll be back for a try for another girls weekend away. Cheers Gail
- Mark (10/5): Quiet comfortable country stay - This was my 2nd stay, once again, comfortable and quiet. The top floor rooms have a balcony view with glimpses of the mountains, all rooms have outdoor table and seating. The food at the pub is very good with reasonable prices and there are several breakfast options nearby. Great for an overnight stay; the room isn't very spacious. Recommend BYO hair shampoo, hair conditioner and body wash; an all in one from the supermarket was provided but I am not sure if was a body wash as well? Air con heats the room nicely.
- David (10/5): - Although the motel section was dated, we were not expecting something modern in the area, given the size of the town. We were happy with the room for its size, comfort and cleanliness, though it could have used a couch inside.
- Diane (8/5): - Clean and tidy however room had a musty smell which came from fridge which was leaking on carpet which gave the room the musty smell
- Jingjing (10/5): - Have nice exeprience, will come here again.
- Stephen (10/5): - Great location in Jamberoo, quiet room for a main road location, nice balcony
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We have stayed here many times. Nice quiet motel, very comfortable bed and perfect disable friendly shower facilities.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely drive through farm land and easy access to Kiama. No fuss check in and tidy room. Bathroom would be better with a good deep clean of the floor especially. Helpful staff at the pub.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Comfortable and pleasant stay. Great staff. Great area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Staff are friendly and super accommodating.
- 859kirstip (2/5): Don’t bother - Jamberoo pub and the hotel was a big disappointment. The pub itself was so quiet inside we felt like we were at church and all the staff had no sense of humour, we didn’t have dinner here but met people who did and the food was terrible and when she asked for onion he put a whole onion on the table amd smashed it in half with a knife. The whole ambiance is just wrong. The rooms absolutely stunk of cheap air freshener and there was a dirty nappy left in the bin so who knows how well the room was cleaned. I would not recommend here at all
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place to stay with family. Friendly staff and clean room.
Place is near to couple of tourist location.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Ok if you just want somewhere to shower and sleep for the night. Bed was firm which I like. A more detailed clean and scrub would help overall. Our bathroom had that awful public toilet urine smell. Was disappointed we got a ground floor room when ad stated “room with balcony”.
Quiet location. IGA across the road is handy.
Didn’t go to the Pub so can’t comment on that other then very friendly when checking in.
- Kev (10/5): - Excellent staff
Went out of there way to help a very tired travelers
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quite, clean beautiful location. Close to Kiama and and shoalhaven
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The bedspreads were dirty and old on both twin and double bed. Needs a new bed spread on Room 8
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very good place - Was very good, quiet and we had relax time
- Laurie (10/5): - Nice quiet location with a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful surrounding
- _dolaghankerry (8/5): Motel stay - We booked a motel room overnight to attend our grandson 21st. The room was quiet, clean & comfortable with plenty of hot water for showers. Yes there were a few minor maintenance issues but did not affect the stay. So if you are wanting a short stay in a quaint little village would recommend staying here.
- Mark (10/5): Quiet and clean - Very quiet location. Friendly staff. Balcony was useful in upstairs rooms
- I3428XTmarkt (2/5): Disappointing - Dirty,Dishes,no teaspoons, no wash up detergent or dishcloths. All dirty and needed washing before use. Taps in bathroom could not be turned off.(in the drought) No soap in dispensers. No other soap. Chairs grubby. And all this in the second room, due to the smell and the tap running in the first room. It is all maintenance and could be easily fixed. No security chain.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - For $90 or $100 would of been okay. Not $150. It wants me to add more characters so here you go wotif
- 668magsb (2/5): Touring Australia - We booked the Jamberoo pub and motel for 2 nights through Agoda. On arrival we were given a small room upstairs with just a lumpy bed. No aircon, no TV, no toilet or shower room , no fridge.just a loud and noisy fan. We were told we had to share a bathroom and toilet with 9 other rooms, a possible 18 people. Try doing that when you are desperate for the toilet. Could not stay there and they would not give us a refund for the two nights. We were definitely mislead by Agoda. If you are happy with those conditions then go for it. If not book elsewhere. The pub is probably very good but we could no way stay in that room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great quiet place to stay rooms are basic but very good.. lovely staff
We were in the building behind the actual pub.
Food is great we ate there every nite if our 4 days visit
I will definitely be going back
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location and amenities. Friendly staff with good local knowledge.
- CCDownunder72 (8/5): Overnight 50th Birthday Party - A cycling mate was turning 50, so he organised a weekend away. Put some cyclists, some non riders and some beers and it sounds like a good weekend away.
We booked the hotel accommodation at $45 a person a night. The rooms are above the pub, very authentic a queen and single in each room with shared bathroom facilities and the creakiest floor you will ever come across. The bar staff were very friendly. Heaps of memorabilia all over the hotel including a museum for Socceroo Johnny Warren. We had a great meal in the bistro, the steak was tops. Heaps of seating inside and out as there is a beer garden. Sat around talking before the bar closed so we took our last purchases upstairs onto the balcony. No locals around to disturb so had some music playing. So if you are a group of blokes looking for a good weekend away close to Sydney then lookup the Jamberoo Pub!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenient location and very quiet (we were there on a week night). Will definitely use again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good friendly Country Pub in lovely area , great staff
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room was clean and pleasant I thought it was a bit expensive as breakfast wasn’t included in the price. It was quite noisy at night you could here other people staying there going to the bathroom and talking loudly plus everywhere you walked the floorboards creaked really loudly.
Unfortunately I have to say I wouldn’t stay there again
- Verified traveler (8/5): - WAS CLEAN AND SIMPLE. WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND LIGHT SWITCH WHICH IS SOMEWHERE UNDER THE BED???
- Papa (10/5): - We wanted to try and find authentic Australia and we think we did! Traditional Ozzie pub with rooms and great food. Fascinating heritage and a must for any travelling football fans. Lovely little town with very friendly folks living there. Beautiful surrounding area and nearby Minnemarra Rainforest and Waterfalls worth a visit if you need to work off your time at the pub!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The highlight of the hotel is ambience and the Johnny Warren Room which has lots of memorabilia to the life of Australian Soccer Icon Johnny Warren. The hotel is owned by the Warren Family
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice country pub, with great atmosphere and amenity
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It was incredibly noisy! One would expect some noise in a pub, but these walls were made of paper. I could hear people in the next room talking & doing other 'stuff'. The floors creaked loudly whenever anyone walked by. The bed was hard & lumpy, very uncomfortable. At 3am, I went & slept in my car, in the carpark, because I desperately needed sleep. When I woke in the morning, there was vomit on my car & broken glass everywhere. I will never stay here again, ever.
- Bruce (10/5): - Great. Boss very helpful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A very pleasant place with adorable staff in a nice little village. Warm atmosphere, good food. Rooms a little bit noisy though!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean room. Close proximity to my family & areas I was visiting.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A cosy stop in a fantastic location. Room was clean and comfortable and close to everything you need
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Decent place to stay as a stopover (pub room), fairly clean but you get what you pay for. The floors are very creaky & walls are paper thin so we were kept awake at night by other guests & woken up in the morning.
- Anna (10/5): Over night stay - The pub has a lot of character with soccer memorabilia on walls and ceilings. The open fire place was also lovely. Meals were enjoyable, particularly the local gelato. Rooms were basic but comfortable and lovely sitting area on balcony overlooking the Main Street. We look forward to staying again next time we are in the area.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I loved how much there's to look at in the pub and the motel room was clean, comfortable and quiet
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff and clean comfy room. My room was a bit noisy as it was next to communal balcony and kitchen and all doors and floors creaks when anyone moves! No Power point in the bathroom that I could see and an empty hand soap bottle But good value all up and great bistro.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Booking stated balcony room with one double bed and one twin bed. We were given ground floor (no balcony) one double bed, one single sofa bed and one mattress on the floor.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room was clean, staff very very friendly. Service was excellenty.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Friendly atmosphere
adequate space in apartment
No wifi code offered on checkin
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is a classic country pub, friendly staff, interesting locals, decent food and plenty of character.
We stayed a couple of nights in an upstairs Saleyard room. It was happily very quiet. However, this was on a Weds/thurs night and the pub is likely to be busier in a Saturday night when they have live music.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Unfortunate! - Adjoining guests were very noisy, staying up until 2 pm at night, and yakked away early in the morning!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Location was perfect along with staff member.
But we got somme issue with cleaness that was bit upsetting to us
- 457crystalt (10/5): Top service, great stay - Stayed here over the Easter long weekend. Staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Food was great and the beer is very reasonably priced! Live music in the beer garden on a Sunday arvo was an added bonus. IGA across the road, plus other local specialty shops in walking distance. Close to Jamberoo action park, less than 50mins to Fitzroy Falls, and Carrington Falls are even closer (highly recommend!)
You won’t regret staying here! Give it a try!
- PW03 (8/5): Motel is Good - The Motel attached to the pub is a good quiet place to stay with a good sized room and all the regular amenities. Even when we were woken early by a mob of Kookaburras we did not mind. The room is a bit retro but that is not a problem as it is clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet, nice to get away from everything. All you need
- 636terrencem (2/5): Very Run Down Very Old Very Forgetable - The Pub accomodation would have to be up there with the worst I have ever seen. Creeky floor boards that sink several cms when you walk on them. They have a dinning room but dont offer breakfast. Old musky smelling rooms and facilities. Toilets that you can hear flush allnight only metres from your bed in next room. Showers are just weak and intermittant. The place needs a total gutting and refit. The ajoining motel rooms are only slightly better.
- theconfidencegoddess (4/5): Paid to Not Sleep - The pub is classic in its ambience and feel and all that's great. However what I wanted was a good night's sleep, but that was not to be had here.
I stayed in a room above the pub that was right next to the shared bathroom.
I was constantly woken up by people walking on the old creaking floor to get to the bathroom and then the loud noise the bathroom door makes when it is opened and closed.
People were coming and going all the through the night. The noise would wake me up just as I was started to doze off - everyone knows how irritating that can be.
I did not sleep a wink and it made my stay a disappointing and frustrating experience.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was good but spoiled by having cockroaches in my bed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I absolutely love this place and the town. If I could buy it and live there I would. You can't beat the price, accomodations are clean and neat. Great little pub with great service. 12/10 would recommend to anyone. I will wear my Jamberoo Pub t-shirt to my grave.
