Guest Reviews
- Leanne (8/5): - Room was clean the staff were nice and helpful parking was gated off at night. Our room had a microwave, tea and coffee. Overall it was very comfortable.
- Sean (6/5): - The secure gate at the entrance guarantees the safety of my car.
- Peter (4/5): - Property is old
Yard is not maintained
- Rod (6/5): - The room was clean undercover parking all good
- Cassidy (4/5): - Property was unkept, room was dirty with scungy water down the side of the wall in the toilet, bathroom light didn't work - was flickering on/ off constantly. Smoke was coming into the room from the toilet window that couldn't be shut.
- Les (6/5): - Bed comfort good. Only one lady staff member very good. Room clean but very basic. Motel grounds very bad, needs a lot of cleaning up. Needs a groundsman. Pool disgusting. Either empty it or clean it up.
- Joan (10/5): - Welcome was excellent & the bonus was an evening meal bought to our room.
- Katie (8/5): - Staff was helpful, suited for an overnight stay.
- TTim (6/5): - Very Old A/C.
- Dianne (2/5): - The property was dirty and there was mould in the bathroom it was old and run down.
- Tania (6/5): - Old and patched up motel that was overpriced. Mouse visits in rooms that should be checked and cleaned regularly. But nowhere else to stay in Boggabilla.
- Joy (2/5): - Room like a jail cell. No window. Dicky door to lock. And area very unsafe especially at night. I was terrified all night with the music and yelling nearby. Felt like packing up and leaving in middle of night but was too frightened to leave. Had no sleep. Will never stay there again. Was not worth the money being charged. Felt like demanding a refund.
- Tony (8/5): - We thought that the property was value for cost and that another review we read was grossly unfair. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable.
- Glenn (2/5): Just Don't - Do yourself a favour and drive the extra 10 minutes to Goondiwindi. This place should be condemned....along with the Town. Horrible, depressing place. Never again!
- Brian (6/5): - Cold room oil heater not up to the job.
- Gerald (6/5): - For the price, very basic. Clean sheets, most importantly to us. Nothing special, but honestly can’t expect much more for such a good price!
- Jean (6/5): - good for overnight
had everything we needed
- Lorinda (6/5): - N/A
- Heather (8/5): - Large room with good kitchenette. Just what was required for an overnight stay.
- Peter (4/5): - Very basic accommodation. Entrance to reception was overgrown. Reception was unclean. Staff member struggled with english. Overpriced. Suitable for workers accommodation.
- Paul (8/5): - This motel is basic accommodation right on the main road to Moree. I had telephoned ahead that we would be late arriving then we were even later than we thought. This was no problem and the sweet asian lady who is the manager even cooked us a meal although it was well after 9pm. She then even made us an asian soup to accompany the meal. Incredible! It's a shame I could only give 5 stars.
- Elaine (8/5): - The Lady manager was really nice and helpful but my room was really small and the bed was so hard I only managed 2 hours sleep and left before 6.30 am
- Val (6/5): - The staff were very helpful.
The whole place needs a really good clean, and a lot of gardening done to make it look presentable and inviting.
- Cousins (4/5): - Very run down with stained sink. Fridge door shelves broken. But you get what you pay for and we were only passing through.
- Anna (6/5): - OK, for our purpose.
- Marc (8/5): - Receptionist friendly shower was very dirty with mould overall though well set out for a town that size
- Steven (8/5): - Property was dated but clean, the lady had broken english, but was friendly and helpful
- Rina (6/5): - Walking into the office upon arrival I noted that it looked quite unclean. There were so many dead bugs on the floor which in my opinion is not the impression for welcoming new guests. When I finally got the host to the office, there was language barrier to confirm our pre paid booking. I was asked to fill out a basic form with details and was given the key to our room.
The entrance stairs were dusty and appeared in need of sweeping and the room was quite comfortable. The bathroom was old and mostly clean apart from a small spider web with caught bugs. The sheets were clean ( I hope) as they had some stains and being white did not instil confidence. There was no option of dinner as we arrived fairly late. We drove around the small area but ended up driving into Gundawindi. Early the following morning there was a lot of noise which was a disruption to our sleep so I'm not sure I would stay here again.
- Dale (8/5): - This is a convenient motel at Boggabilla and we always choose to stay here. The only problem is that it is starting to look a bit dated and some money could be spent to modernize.
The pool needs to be fixed or taken off the information about the motel on the booking sites. If you are looking for a nice swim on a hot day after traveling all day, you will be disappointed as we were when we came here in December 2024. Still not fixed at the end of March 2025.
- Alexandra (6/5): - The caretaker was lovely.
- Marco (2/5): - Dirty linen , hairs on the pillows and sheets. Rubish from previous occupant still in the rubish bin
- Peter (2/5): - It was musty. Leaking tap dripping all night. Parking was too far away from the room. Around the corner at the other end of the building.
The wi-fi was atrocious. Very limited. Not able to download even to my bank app
- Lorraine (6/5): - A very dated motel but I had a comfortable night's sleep
- Brenton (10/5): - No hassel , good clean accommodation easy parking .
- Peter (8/5): - We were warned against staying in Bogabilla after we had made out booking but chose to continue and not cancel. We were surprised at check in to find the lady could not speak English, but we got through with her using translate on her phone. We were also surprised that no ABC or SBS was available on the TV. Our room whilst basic was comfortable.
- Max (6/5): - Not too bad overall. Bathroom does need to upgrade.
- Amelia (2/5): - The receptionist did not speak English so that made it very hard to communicate
- Verified traveler (4/5): Never Again - Mould in the bathroom, taps filthy, airconditioning musty. The room requires a total overhaul. I paid extra for an upgraded room and it had the most basic of facilities and comfort…I would hate to see what the standard room consisted of. The yard was so overgrown that I actually drove past it because I couldn’t see the sign. I didn’t feel safe for security was substandard. I was (if you could call it) welcomed by a lady who unlocked the office door, asked my name and walked away without opening the door or asking me in, then I had to have an awkward conversation with a young child continually asking my name. There is also a resident cat which converses with a dog in the evening and early hours of the morning. Oh, and I stepped out of the shower to find that my bathroom was visible from the reception’s thoroughfare and had to shut the window (which I didn’t realise was open when I got in the shower).
- Claus (6/5): - The motel is near a main road with a high volume of trucks passing through, so quite noisy. It was clean, bed comfortable, shower curtain needs replacing. Staff helpful. Okay for a one night stay.
- Barry (6/5): - Helpful
- Rob (8/5): - This is an older type motel and was clean and tidy, we had no real complaints, the owners were friendly and obliging.
The price was a little high for the type of motel.
- Rod I (8/5): - Considering it was close to the highway it was remarkably quiet.
- Rob (8/5): - We stayed one night, the owners were very co-operative, the rooms clean and tidy and the area quiet.
- Michael (2/5): - Not a safe area. We did not stay the night.
- Alan (10/5): - It was an older motel but was very clean. I didn’t realise at the time but a great meal was available for dinner at a very reasonable price. It is off the main road so is very quiet. I shall return
- Garth (8/5): - The owners provided a dining choice for an evening meal delivered to our room, which was very nice and filling.
The only downside was the lack of water pressure in the shower.
- John (8/5): - Was very surprised. Boggabilla is NOT an attractive town, but motel was secure and the staff friendly. Motel unit was spacious, clean and undercover parking a bonus.
- Peter (6/5): - If you want quiet and clean, but very basic, then it might be ok for you. But we like better proximity to dining options.
- Saxon (10/5): - I like the cat
- John (6/5): - Light in bathroom no work remote for a/con no work TV remote battery cover falls off
- Sandee (10/5): - We loved our stay at Boggabilla! The staff were lovely, our family room suited all 4 of us and was very comfy!
- Daniel (10/5): - Friendly staff and most accommodating to our needs.
- Les (10/5): - Clean tidy good comfortable bed and host was very obliging
- Rose N (10/5): - It was surprisingly quite, comfortable bed, liked the big bathroom.
- Bodey (10/5): - Owner was very accommodating, definitely would stay here again
- John (6/5): - The property was OK for the cost but its location very poor for access to shops etc. Management helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Worth staying here if in the area - Comfortable bed and large room. Bathroom was also large and we liked the wall tiles.
Air conditioner worked well. All amenities that we needed were supplied
Car was parked undercover.
Friendly hosts and we would not hesitate to stay here again
- Brendan (10/5): - Friendly staff and some dinner options- room service. Most were $20 excellent value for money.
- Glenda (10/5): - The new owners have certainly done some improvements round the place. Have been staying there for years.
- Raymond (6/5): - The room was clean & tidy, the bed was the most comfortable of my journey, & the host was friendly. However, one window’s insect screen had a tear, the pool looked putrid, & the entrance door to the room was in the carpark bay so the only place to sit outside & undercover was around the corner in the smokers area.
- Brooke (8/5): - It’s was nice an quiet
- Alan (8/5): - Everything was fine and the owner welcoming and friendly
- Krista (10/5): - We where moving and they help keep our belongings safe secure and protected would recommend them and the room was comfortable and fitted our needs perfectly
- Bryan (6/5): - Room was OK, but the bathroom vanity needed to be updated or even replaced.
- Fiona (2/5): - Man told us you can’t stay here even though we had booked a month prior and he had double booked the room. The way he dealt with this was soo rude. Would never stay here again.
- Janith sajitha (10/5): - Nice place
- Margaret (8/5): - It was clean and comfortable but cold overnight and in the morning. The heater didn't seem to work very well and was very noisy.
- Kevin (8/5): - Late book in very convenient
- James (10/5): - The safe was very welcoming and helpful.
- kym (2/5): - Was unable to stay as it was closed due to a hijacking - received a message around 6.00pm to advise I need to look else’s where - would appreciate a full refund
- Felicity (10/5): - Lots of room, recently renovated.
- Sean (10/5): - This place was great value for money. Comfortable and cheap. Would stay again travelling through!! 👍
- Sarah (4/5): - Lovely staff/owner but very outdated, bed had a huge angle to it, toilet wasn’t clean, was not at all what we were expecting.
- Brenda (8/5): - Although this motel is a bit dated and the bathroom needs a bit of a reno’ I found the room to be large enough for the 2 of us, very clean, comfy bed, and the manager was very accommodating and friendly.
- Julie (10/5): - Great service and a great place to stay. I will tell my friends.
- Karen (10/5): - Very good
- Sue Ross (6/5): basics satisfied - Very basic, and a little 'tired' but had everything you need for a nights sleep. Host was helpful, and certainly better value than paying more 5 minutes into town at Goondiwindi. Nothing in town, so food at Motel was only option, but it was OK.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Nice and quiet, off the highway. Convenient to Goondiwindi.
- David (10/5): - Very good value, very comfortable bed, clean, well-maintained, and well worth the 5 minutes drive further down the road from Goondiwindi.
- Monica (8/5): - I stayed here as I made my way from Tasmania to Brisbane. The room was clean, the water in the shower was hot, there was Wifi and airconditioning. I also appreciated the fact that there was a bowl I could use for my cereal in the morning, plus a fridge and microwave. Yes, the room had a dated feel, but it was clean and had everything I needed for my stay.
- Alistair (8/5): - Friendly staff
- Maurice (8/5): - Very thin walls, someone coghing all jight and people talking very loud
- Jude (8/5): - Property is a bit old and tired but bed was comfortable and plenty of hot water.
- Kevin (8/5): - We arrived late staff very friendly
- Brian (6/5): Never again - I will not be back. Noisey air conditioner, barking dog all night, trucks passing by during the night, combined with a deteriorating room condition. To top it off I was billed twice for the room with the proprietor refusing to give me a refund
- Judy (4/5): - Staff not very friendly. Very dated. Would not stay again.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - The room was very clean and bright, with plenty of room.
Meal was basic but nice, and good price. Only thing was that we found a hair in it.
- Glenda (8/5): - Good value
- Elizabeth (6/5): - Room very spacious and comfortable although dated. Parking limited. Peaceful setting.
- Julie (10/5): - Roomy room, with kitchenette. Heater worked well. I liked the bigger fridge. Comfortable bed. Good wi-fi.
- Wendy (10/5): - Nice staff, clean facilities...
- Jayne (10/5): - What a delight it was staying here! Really
Nice accomodation, nice surroundings and great breakfast! And a great price👍
- David (10/5): - We turned up and were looking for dinner options. The owner offered to cook us dinner (for a charge of course) and it was just what we needed after driving all day. The room was basic but the very clean and the bed was super comfy. I would stay here again.
- Joe and Julia (8/5): - Very small but very clean.
- Peter (8/5): - Comfortable, clean
- Lisa (8/5): - Clean, good value older style hotel. Fast and easy checkin and checkout. Friendly staff. Good location for travellers.
- Taoqun (10/5): - Clean room and meets our requirement for an overnight stay.
- Steven (8/5): - Nice and cool room
- aleta (10/5): - Clesn
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked the friendly and helpful staff, easy access to the highway, quietness.
The room, particularly the bathroom, is very dated with cracks and seals missing.
