Guest Reviews
- Lesley (9/5): - Very comfortable excellent location very helpful reception staff
- Lesley (9/5): Will definitely be returning - Great location extremely helpful staff comfortable and quiet
- Lana (5/5): - I like that the location was convenient with parking included. I could hear what was happening in the other rooms.
- Greg (8/5): -
- Stephanie (6/5): - Room was spacious and bathroom clean Towels looked like they had seen better days. Crockery and utensils were missing. Need another blanket in the room now the weather is changing.
- Rhiannon (10/5): Great. Place - Peace. And price . Freindly staff
- Kevin (7/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): - Staff Pool maybe
- Andrea (1/5): - Location to town centre Extremely run down. Sad to see a motel in a beautiful coastal town go to absolute ruins.
- mark (7/5): Comfortable stay for a good price in a good central location - Shower was next level wonderful. Bed was comfy. A little basic and tired looking, but for the price - fine.
- wei (8/5): - Good
- Peter (7/5): Peters - The price for 3 nights at Easter was very good. The motel was close to shops and clubs so you could walk to everything. Room was a bit dated but was clean and bed was comfortable .Room had a microwave, toaster and kettle as well as crockery and cutlery. Good bathroom and no waiting for hot water. Couch has seen better days and the tv had two broken feet so it sat at an angle The sheer curtains at the door and window had tears in them and the grass outside the units were way overdue for a cut.Have stayed in worse places that cost more.
- MetalGecko (10/5): -
- Power (10/5): -
- Rhiannon (7/5): - Location Forgot. To. Put tea and coffee in the room
- Leanne (8/5): -
- Kevin (7/5): - Clean, comfortable bed, great rate, close to town, clean. The door jammed, I need two hands to open it.
- Joseph (3/5): - Didgraceful
- Philpot (3/5): disappointing for the amount they charged. - it had a bed and working toilet bugs and ants throughout the room. two different types of pillows. shower temperature would randomly change. barley any lighting in the room. mold growing in the shower. it looked like they laid down new tiles but didn't care to renovate the rest of the room, especially the bathroom which desperately needs it.
- Glen (6/5): Cheap but needs some maintenace. - Location and price. Hair left in shower drain, dust covering fly screen in bathroom. 30mm gap under enterance door.
- Natalie (8/5): - Proximity to everything and clean and comfy. Mattress was comfy but very soft.
- Leonie (9/5): - Accommodating is with late checkin times Could have more lights and another PowerPoint next to bed
- Sandra (1/5): Don't waste your money! - Nothing Dilapidated, depressing. Miserable ancient old musty place, cleaning staff doing a good job trying to clean this awful place. Only one sheet on top of mattress, bed and pillows had an unpleasant odour and the charity shops have better towels, they were thin and old and completely threadbare, never again, I thought I was saving money at $110 a night, I was actually wasting it on this ghastly place. I was expecting much at this price but this was much worse than I had imagined, I should have listened to the other reviews, they are all bad.
- Buhse (9/5): - The bed had 2 pillows each, there was a fridge and coffee making facilities in the room, the shower was clean with amazing water pressure, the room had air-conditioning, the room had car parking right at the room door, easy to check in and out. The motel was only 1km from woolworths too That both motels are run by the same reception but people cant use the pool from both motels and there was only 1 towel each.
- Henry (7/5): Ok - Good location and our room was quiet Terrible smell in the room
- Carlos (7/5): -
- mlejnek (3/5): Average i didnt stay in the room long - Location was good The room was dated the tv was to small
- Anita (1/5): Don’t book here ever! - Nothing! Glad to leave! Everything! I paid for a family room. When I got here reception told me they had “double booked” my room. Offered me an upgrade to the Sapphire Morel next door. Realized we had a dog and gave us a downgraded standard room back at the Gardens. We ended up paying &175 for the $125 room. When the transaction went through they charged $2 more than quoted and on top of that there was a $3 bank charge! Crooks! The place smelt bad and the room was tiny!
- Glen (8/5): -
- Marcia (9/5): - Clean and comfortable
- PATRICIA (8/5): - L emplacement Problème dans la douche de la chambre 17...l eau continue à couler ce qui est inconfortable pour dormir
- Rohhit (5/5): Ok for an overnight stay. -
- Lynda (2/5): -

- Kirsten (5/5): -
- Jill (3/5): - It was close to shops and restaurant It was a very basic room My husband said there was an electric blanket on the bed with the wires exposed We went to report this and there was no one at the reception We had a lot of ants in our room I don't think we will be back
- Catherine (5/5): ok - location
person at checkin was wonderful room wasn't great
- Joy (2/5): dissapointing - Huge o pile of rubbish outside our room I put it in the bin!!!!!
- JOSEPH ANTHONY (8/5): - Great quiet rooms in a convenient location

- Anesh (10/5): -
- Shuvrangshu (8/5): -
- Melissa (9/5): -
- Foy (7/5): Good value for money & well situated. - Value for money. I was planning to camp in Merimbula for 4 nights, but the weather was awful, pouring rain & thunder. So I looked for a cheap motel and this one fitted the bill exactly. Very compact but clean & tidy. Toilet paper. Every place I stay at seems to buy the cheapest, thinnest toilet paper available on the market. You have to use so much of it just to achieve a successful outcome !!!!!
- Jazmin (8/5): -
- S (9/5): -
- Brent (8/5): -
- Connal (6/5): - Location was convenient, close by. Breakfast was fair for the price. Dirty towels in the bathroom upon our arrival. No doona on the beds, only a sheet and blanket. Wifi was barely usable
- matthew (6/5): It was good when you had been bush camping for a week to go into a motel but I would have been very disappointed if went - New beds Very untidy bins were overflowing and stunk beds hadn’t been moved and cleaned under
- Daniel (1/5): Condemn This Place - nothing, it should be condemned. Ants everywhere the door handle fell off, curtains and blinds ripped, fridge didn't work i got double charged for my dog unexpectedly, staff rude. All of it
- Debra (2/5): The only best time we had was site seeing and away from this motel. - There was nothing to like. Pillows very bulky and hard. Bathroom taps when we turned them on made an almighty clunky noise. Asked them about the complimentary breakfast for the next morning and receptionist state they won't be doing it. But when we left the next morning we saw the complimentary breakfast being served. We were not impressed with the conflicting info so we left for our site seeing. When we first arrived and parked we notice that all the remaining rooms were being renovated. These details were not mentioned when searching the website. No reception area and had to go to next door motel for everything. The outdoor areas ugly and unkept.
- Barry (6/5): Good - Good to have breakfast included in price
- Ian (9/5): -
- David (6/5): -
- Ronald (6/5): -
- Sandra (7/5): -
- Annette (9/5): My day was excellent, and I will be back again - I didn’t have any breakfast, but the location was very good Housekeeping staff were very good
- Michael (7/5): Ok - Location Couldn’t check in early
- Tiana (1/5): -
- Wild (6/5): 3 star property - There were many bad reviews listed, but while the motel has some faults it is a 3 star motel afterall.
Our room had been recently painted and new tiled floors.
We could have our small dog. Rooms are not very big but outside chair and table is welcome.
- Teresita (10/5): I can not wait to stay in this hotel again. - Very clean and comfortable bed. The staff more than nice. Very happy with the service in general. Keep the same attitude excellent
- Mark (10/5): -
- Brian (4/5): Room in very poor condition -
- palmer (6/5): - It was well-eqipped and quiet. Good location for the shops. The room was comfortable and reasonably clean apart from the bathroom. You could easily walk into town. Several pubic hairs in the bathroom and the BBQs were badly maintained . TBH there seemed to be a shortage of staff to maintain the 2 adjacent motels. ...rarely a person on reception.
- Christopher (5/5): Central location, friendly staff, clean room though expensive for the age and condition of the facilities. - Central location, clean and friendly staff Expensive for what was on offer with respect to age of property and room layout
- Richard (7/5): -
- Amanda (7/5): Pleasant . - Easy parking . Clean and staff were nice. Lovely high location with little tables outside the room on grass area which was nice in evening . It’s up hill from the shops . It’s a bit of a trek to Woolies etc . It’s an old style motel . We were a bit squashed in the family room but overall it was fine for 2 nights .
- Ashutosh (1/5): - Nothing was there to be liked! Everything about the motel was disappointing. The place was filled with bugs and the room didn't have proper ventilation. The washroom door was a sliding one which was built improperly and had no lock! But the worst of all was the washroom, after 2nd use only it got clogged and we were 3 people and we had to opt for a public washroom! Even the room lights were not working!
- Ingrid (3/5): Cheapest option but not an option - Sheets were clean, location was fine. Beds fairly comfy. It was fairly cheap by comparison but not actually cheap compared to what you get for the same price elsewhere. Room was very small, but the worst was the smell, the carpet was disgusting, the room should not have been in use. There were some basics in the room, like a toaster but it was so old and encrusted. They did not empty trash or provide towels until we placed these outside the room.
- Setchen (5/5): - Pet friendly The property needs some care and attention. Was overpriced for what it was.
- dharanesh (3/5): Photos shows the rooms looking new, but the actual accommodation is given in a old building rooms - Located in good place but rooms looks very old Very old rooms and furniture
- Ziggy Montana (7/5): -
- Susan (7/5): -
- Damian (7/5): - Das Bett war bequem. Alles sauber. Die Anlage insgesamt nicht gut gepflegt. Alt und mäßig renoviert. Bad in Ordnung. Für 1 Nacht ok.
- Ball (5/5): -
- Kelly (3/5): Not nice - Location was good Dirty, untidy, unkept gardens and weeds everywhere , smashed glass out the front of venue that stayed there for duration of my stay and wasn’t cleaned up.
All round very unimpressed for $270 a night.
Bed was absolutely terrible, and hot water wasn’t available at times.
- Enoch (5/5): A little expensive, and room smelt musty - Convenient place in Merimbula The room had a musty smell, and quite expensive for what you get.
- SHARAVANA (6/5): -
- Robyn (4/5): - Close to shops Very noisy. Fridge ran all night, very loud. Neighbours up late outside room. Staff not helpful. Would not stay again
- Farzane (5/5): Too expensive, very basic - It had a fridge and microwave inside the room, sheets and towels were clean Very dated furniture and bathroom,
The bathroom door was not safe, sliding door with no fixing point from bottom or side, very loose just fixing on top rail,
It was very basic for the price we paid for one night,
Location was a bit further than all cafes and lake, but still walkable.
Would recommend to find somewhere else as its too pricey for what you will get.
- Karlheinz (2/5): Bearable for one night, but a rip-off - Location was ok. Toilet was dripping, fridge eas noisy, room was very small for the price, no coffee/tea cups in the room.
- Liza (3/5): - Too expensive, not worth it.
- Ernie (3/5): - It was pet freindly. The rooms are small and tired along with the whole hotel. The front door was broken and badly repaired. The fly screen was broken and hanging off the window. The front garden was mostly dead and contained many cigarette butts. The bed was not very comfortable and the sound proofing was insufficient. It is a budget motel so greatness is not expected but they are not trying very hard.
- Nam Hai (5/5): - No hot water
- James (7/5): Classic old school country motel - Clean, pretty good location Paper thin walls, bright outside lights
- Jason (4/5): -
- Argyriou (8/5): Lovely Town - Regular accommodation with good location
- Ashlee (5/5): -
- Maxine (1/5): Terrible it is very run down curtains ripped a piece of wood blocking a hole in the room the black blockout on the windo - Nothing Everything no maintenance very dirty
- Alexander (1/5): Bad - Dirty lots of dead bugs in toilet. All power points No power even fridge still no power. My food was rotten. They just said sorry. It looks not sorry for my experience.
- Crystal (5/5): -
- chris (5/5): - No Teaspoons provided, no coffee mugs provided
- Rachel (9/5): -
- Matilda (10/5): - Staff - Kiki was lovely and so helpful!!
- Naomi (9/5): Loved every minute! The view of the sunrise from our bed was magical - So wonderful to find a lovely place, great location that’s pet friendly! Shower curtain could have an update but shower pressure is great so that’s all that matters
- Charles (5/5): Ok - What breakfast?? Comfortable. Hammering in basin taps. Basic kitchen cuttery.
- Kevin (7/5): - Spacious rooms.
Clean rooms Soundproofing of rooms was dismal.
I could hear the couple 2 doors down arguing throught the night and the couple next door's amorous groans ans extacy cries from 8pm to 6am
