Guest Reviews
- Reynolds (8/5): Great place if you need a comfortable bed and quiet location - Very close to where I had to work. The manager is really nice. He bent over backwards to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The rooms are very dated, but I love that feel. Might not be for everyone. The codes for the wifi did not work. I will admit I did not ask the staff if it had changed as I had plenty of data, so I just used that.
- Gregory (8/5): - Spa bath was good
- Rory (5/5): -
- Cavanagh (10/5): Nice small motel - Good location, comfortable room, great shower. Nothing
- Stive (1/5): Disgusting - Nothing The room looks so old, the bed was not comfortable and the other furniture's inside the room looks so old.
- Donna (1/5): … - Nothing Old
- graeme (9/5): -
- Sharon (8/5): Cheaper motel - clean & comfortable - Cheaper motel - clean & comfortable
- Nicholas (7/5): It was convenient for our visit - Close to place we were visiting A little item .. the towels could have been “ softer”
- Luke (5/5): -
- Freddie (6/5): Easy access. - It's what one would expect of a motel. Service from the owner was exceptional. He is polite and helpful. One on the single bed, the white sheets had a slight stain. Could have taken extra care to ensure it is spotless. The sheet was not dirty.
- Jonathan (1/5): -
- Colin (2/5): Dismal and uncomfortable. - Close to The Entrance sights. Cracked toilet seat. Cracked and dirty tiles in bathroom. Shower poor. Door to bathroom broken. Bed too soft causing significant back problems. Broken table. Tired fittings. Blocked sink. Hideous price for all if this!
- Darren (4/5): - Towel rack and bunk bed surport only help by 1 loose screw. Microwave and tv issues Staff were great.location perfect
- Raymond (5/5): Short stay at Dark & Dingey - Not much Very outdated , family room next to the entrance/exit not ideal, water damage in bathroom, futon stained, rubbish left in i suppose it’s a courtyard , we assumed that the owners were new and have just started cleaning up from past occupancy ?
- Janice (2/5): Gloomy, smelly and unpleasant. - The bed was reasonably comfortable The strong odour of cigarette smoke permeated everything and made us feel sick. No microwave. The basin water in the bathroom was sluggish in draining away. The sliding door to the bathroom came off its sliding mechanism so had to prop it up against wall and leave bathroom door open. Thin, very small bath towels. No option for even a simple breakfast. Very dreary atmosphere overall. We were meant to stay 3 nights but left after 2. We were very glad to leave. Not recommended.
- Belinda (1/5): - The caretaker was very friendly. So overdue for an upgrade. Curtains, doonas ripped. It is so rundown. Everything looks like it’s left over from the 70s. Didn’t feel clean, toilet seat broken, dishwashing items were so old. Towels had stains on them. No cleaning provisions provided so couldn’t sweep or clean the floors during the stay. Another guest who I think was a permanent guest asking us for money for cigarettes.
- George (5/5): - Cobwebs hanging all over the room
- Ed (3/5): - Swimming pool, aircon, location Uneven surface tiles around the pool, unsafe!!!. Ants and cockroaches in room. Wifi was very poor!! Bed was back breaking!! Loud as fridge. Renovation and updated required immediately!!!!! Especially electrical!!!
- Rabia (5/5): Was good could of been better if new stuff for the price we paid - The location Upgrade the Furniture and accessories around the hotel Bedcovers and pillows
- Therese (5/5): No extra comments - The only thing I liked was that we could walk to the lake The bed was not comfortable at all. When I booked for two nights, the listing showed that the room included a lounge, but when we arrived there was no lounge. The room was extremely small, and we could hardly move around the bed.
the sink was blocked and hardly working.
I am 100% certain that I would never recommend this motel to any of my family or friends.

- peterson (7/5): -
- Taya (7/5): - Check in flexibility was amazing
- Shaun (7/5): Good comfortable motel, close to beach and lake, but perhaps slightly overpriced. - The location is great, short walk (few minutes) to both the beach and Tuggerah Lake. This is probably the motel's strength really. The rooms were good without being great. A lot of the furniture and fittings have probably seen better days, but that doesn't worry me. Parking right outside the door, was good, which isn't always the case. The only things I didn't like was the lack of a microwave (to reheat food) which I like, but I knew they didn't have them, so I'm not complaining. Also, there were noisy dogs next door, which whilst it isn't the fault of the motel, can still be a problem. The price, for what you got, was perhaps a tad high.

- YINGBIN (7/5): -
- Scott (1/5): Filth - Rooms were not Clean at all Dirty shower bed smelt
- Malayphorn (8/5): Value for money and friendly staff - Location, quiet Ok cleanness
- Elizabeth (2/5): Very disappointed staying. Would not be at this place again - Nothing much Very poor quality of service, dirty room and linen beds
No milk in the fridge, the owner was rude.

- Leanne (7/5): Good -
- Brett (2/5): Very poor -
- Rosalie (1/5): We did not stay after inspection - On inspection we decided that the property was not clean and looked neglected. The office was a mess and not inviting at all certainly not a good impression. The attendant was very hard to understand and I had to repeat my questions many times.
Totally over rated. The whole motel was very neglected and untidy. It was a lot older than the photos portrayed. The reception area was a mess and no bell or instructions to alert staff. The attendance was pleasant but had little English so communication was hard
Very tired looking motel
Location was good but certainly not worth the rate.
- Ryan (7/5): Good -
- Mikaela (1/5): Love the old fashion style. - The owner is an old cranky man. He was rude and abrupt to my partner and I upon check out, banging the door down as we 30 minutes past check out time. Big deal, the place was not even booked out. He yelled at us The owner needs to take Valiums to relax him.
- Oscar (1/5): Horrible place, can it be given a half a star? - The location was ok and the room was clean Lake front? What lake? So we start with the tv remote with flat batteries. So turn on the tv manually to no reception. Then realise the location seems to be in a Telstra and Optus black hole. Then there are the bed pillows that died twenty years ago, on a lumpy mattress. We booked as two people to find one wine glass, one water glass, and one dinner fork.. No microwave in the room but there is one down in the laundry room by reception. And I can’t believe I paid $200 for the night.
- Lucy (8/5): Very good -
- Beckman (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tim (5/5): Passable - Location good Tv channels didn’t work and wifi was not working either
- Peter (5/5): Passable -
- Mick (1/5): Crap - Not much Everything. Rooms were dirty. Stains on the sheets. Didn’t sleep under the covers And by the look. Permanent housing for a few people
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Craig (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (1/5): Bad -
- Alma (8/5): - We stayed only one night and it was good, big queen bed with 2 bunk bed which is good for family with 2 kids, accessible, not far to the entrance cbd
- Patel (8/5): Very good -
- Mcdonald (7/5): Good -
- Andrea (1/5): Bad -
- Embleton (2/5): It was horrible - We didn't have breakfast at the motel so unsure what it was like There was no microwave in the room there was a really poor microwave in little laundry room it barely heated a microwave meal up the beds were very old style beds the mattress was really hard no extra pillows just itchy blankets I will never return to that motel again I'm surprised with the amount of motels in the area that they have managed to stay open.
- Lucas (9/5): Superb - It was a last minute booking. Friendly staff and extremely accommodative. Bed and furniture ia outdated.
- Matia (4/5): Outdated and dirty - Was upgraded for free as room I booked wasn't available. Found a couple of cockroaches in the room, one in the shower and another on the floor in the bedroom.
Bed only had 2 pillows that were really flat.
Some residents living at the hotel were quite loud and kids yelling and running around late at night.
Overall very outdated and dirty, definitely not worth almost $200 for one night.
- Serhan (5/5): Passable -
- Kerry (5/5): Comparitively overpriced, really old styling and appears to double as a social housing facility - Received a free upgrade into a bigger room Room was dated, over priced, few cockroaches, microwave stunk, parking was tight and generally in a pretty poor area. A number of other residents appeared to be long stay social housing tenants
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlene (4/5): - The own was really nice but the room wasn’t great it was dated and the sheets on the single bed were disgusting
- Jagdish (4/5): Disappointing -
- Carolyn (1/5): Overall I would have to say that we were totally disappointed with the premises & our stay. - The spa bath as it worked and the location was central to all the places and things that we did. The fact that the place that I had seen on the website didn’t look anything like what it actually was. We had to upgrade to a bigger room as the first room was too closed in and small. There were numerous things broken within the apartment and it was obvious that no general maintenance had been done. After having to spend a further $800 to upgrade to a bigger apartment we didn’t expect that the sliding door latch would lock you in the bathroom as they were broken and that the fan switch to the bathroom was also cracked and dangerous. We had to keep a Band-Aid over the latch lock so our 5yr old grand daughter didn’t get locked in. The front door was ridiculously hard to pull open and various other things were broken throughout the apartment. The pool was never clean and the water quality got worse every day to the point we wouldn’t let our grand daughter use it as after the second day and having a swim she was sick. There was a total lack of contact with the management and it wasn’t clear who was actually in charge. It would of been nice to of been informed that the place also has permanent residents that reside there. You would expect that if you were staying somewhere for 7 nights that you would of had been offered to have the room cleaned and at least some clean towels and bath mat been given. There wasn’t even a tea towel or detergent to use to wash up the utensils used or a broom to sweep the floors with. Which we had to go a purchase these to keep the apartment clean and the floors swept.
- Simone (1/5): Never again & I will be lodging a complaint with the NSW Health department & the local council. - I didn't like anything about this property. It's a disgusting motel. I've seen jail cells in better conditions than this motel room, it was old, musty, out dated, sheets were old, beds were extremely uncomfortable the beds were so hard I might as well he have slept on the floor. Disgusting conditions please do not advertise this atrocious motel on your website. The photos were far from reality. The beds were like sleeping on concrete, the sheets & pillows were old, torn & disgusting, the room smelt like mould, the owners were arrogant & rude. The shower was moulded & black, the bathroom was severely outdated & the towel racks were broken, the shower head didn't work, the hot water took forever to warm up, we had to go to the shops to buy cockroach spray because the room was infested with cockroaches. I told the owner I will be making a complaint to the health department at the local council his response was: 'i don't care'
The owners should not be permitted to operate in such appalling conditions & they had the audacity to charge $250 for the room. I do not recommend this motel to anyone because the rooms are a serious health & structural risk to the public.
- Vickie (8/5): Very good - It was quiet and clean and staff friendly and helpful. The bunk beds were not comfortable my children could not sleep very well.
- Richard (3/5): Wouldn't stay here again. - Only that it was close to the Entrance City Centre. There is no cusotmer service on arrival, just a "yeah" from the owner. Cockroaches all through the apartment, big and little ones. The doors, curtains, and blinds were all dirty, ripped, and mould on them, marks on the walls and ceilings. The tv was out of date, only able to get a few channels, no foxtel or netflix. The beds had mould on the mattresses. Given old soap, I had to step into the spa bath to shower. The towel railings were old and broken. The smoke alarms don't work and are out of date over 20 years. You are told to use the toaster in the bathroom, not like you would. The oven&grill were filthy and about 40 years old. Couldn't use the WiFi. The BBQ area is filthy and overgrown. The balcony railings are broken and unsafe, the sliding door is hard to open, and the mesh is broken. I witnessed an argument between the owner and a customer over a microwave, and another customer wasn't happy with the water pressure. We were given old towels with stains on them. The linen and furniture are out of date. The Rusty, old, and filthy air-conditioning outside the apartment was disgusting. The cutlery draw was filthy. We didn't eat or cook there. The whole complex is 40 years out of date. It is used as a halfway house, felt uncomfortable, kids running around the carpark who live there. They want money up front apon booking, not when you leave like other accommodation because of the state of the place. carpark is very small, not for big cars. When handing in the keys to leave, you are asked if the air-conditioning is off, not how your stay was. I do not recommend this place. There is no lake view at all. The photos are out of date.
- Jacqui (2/5): Very poor - The rooms are big and accommodating for children, in terms of space and beds. However, this place is more for a quick crisis accommodation. Too old, dirty, and full of cockroaches
- Scarrott (1/5): Do not go there - Only the location The fridge was leaking all over the floor, curtains were filthy and stank. Dirty everywhere and im not sure if the take in and help drug users but seemed to have them living there. Horible experience. Very noisy as well.
- Chris (7/5): The accommodation was suitable for our needs. Not flash but comfortable enough. Good for a short stay. - Staff were very helpful. Locality was good. N/A
- Low (8/5): Very good -

- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dimity (7/5): Good -
- Scott (1/5): Bad -
- Allan (6/5): Pleasant -
- Stephen (4/5): - Very old and overpriced for what it is.
- Loran (1/5): Bad -
- Robyn (1/5): All in all, just an awful experience and definitely would not recommend staying at this motel. - Nothing The room looked like an old granny lived there, dark old furniture with lace doilies, lace curtains. Chipped paint on the doors. Couldn’t see the tv from the bed, shower was within a large spa bath so had to climb over the side of the spa to access the shower. Worst part was when the a/c was turned on a terrible smell like something burning filled the air and made breathing difficult. Someone from the office brought a spray bottle up and spent about 30 minutes cleaning the a/c. Just awful. Biscuits were provided, but unfortunately someone had already opened the packet and took one of the biscuits. A not to be repeated experience.
- Joy (1/5): Our stay was disgusting, we were chargef $2.20 - We didn’t receive any breakfast
The room was disgraceful The sheets on the bed were filthy dirty
We were iitchy all night and. discovered that the
Bed had bed bugs
And dirty sheets which were nearly threadbare
The whole place needs to be closedout
- Elizabeth (3/5): Poor -
- Dryden (5/5): Not up to scratch - Poor quality sheets, no microwave, several small cockroaches, overpriced at $140 Price and microwave
- Paul (4/5): Poor service from staff - Location Staff were useless, no service card to replace towels in room, no customer service given and she didn't give a hoot about anything you had to say...her reply was 'Im too busy right now I'll get them to you at 8pm, then she didn't even bother
- Terry (6/5): Pleasant -
- Barclay (8/5): Very good -
- Natalie (5/5): bring your own toilet paper! shower leaks and we’re all of the toilet area. - the cost I asked the manager for another roll of toilet paper. there were 4 woman, only 1/2 roll of toilet paper and one new roll. I new that wouldn’t be enough as we had a family member with ibs! I was told do not ask for anymore toilet paper and I better not be using it as tissues. I assured him we weren’t and he was very firm saying he can only give one extra! my advise bring your own!
- Katherine (8/5): - A good place for a traveler stop over
- Holly (8/5): Very good -
- Wilson (3/5): Poor -
- Oup (8/5): The room was certainly value for money. We would he happy to stay again in the future. - This was the last property available in the area that we wanted to stay. The property was far more spacious than what we needed. We liked the spa bath (even though it didn't actually work as a spa). There was tea, coffee and cookies for our breakfast: a nice welcome treat. Clean linen, towels, clean rooms. The maintenance is lagging somewhat compared to what a property such as this would require: a light bulb was missing, the towel rack pole comes loose, the spa is not functional.
- Beard (3/5): Poor -
- Shalyn (5/5): Passable -
- Madison (3/5): Poor - Price The room wasn’t very clean.
- Joanne (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ramazan (1/5): no more stays there - smelly smelly and not good car parking mixed everything
- Aidaaaaaan (7/5): Good -
- Melinda (4/5): Disappointing - The room smelt like cigarettes
The mattress.. Too soft and husband and I keep rolling in to the middle
- Gardiner (4/5): Disappointing -
- David (7/5): Good - Good location for our visit Nothing we didn't like
- Hanan (1/5): Would not stay here ever or not recomed it to any 1 its not worth that money to expensive - I would not recommend any 1 to stay their as the owner turns of the lights by 9.30pm and dosnt let us do our washing after 9pm and its so discussing to stay their you have toask for towel and toiletry they are not friendly
- Fatma (1/5): Bad -
