- Pam (7/5): - Location, bed & bush retreat Lack of space for us and our two medium cases
- Marie-Christine (9/5): Beautiful, peaceful, nature space close to the beach with everything you need for self-stay. - Nice shaded area with a lovely deck and cover in a natural environment. All amenities you could want and small but functional bathroom-I would dare anyone to use the little sink without water on the floor! Haha! It was my gymnastics!! Very responsive to emails and anything I needed. I can say wifi was great but did not use TV so can't comment there but it is big! Bed was awesome with choice of pillows. So close to shop, resto & Palm Beach sand!! Small bathroom-not knowing who was around in the other cottages/accommodations. Lots of spiderwebs inside and out, that might have been swept before I got there-although I do know they come back quickly. I felt that no one had been there in some time and started out sweeping and cleaning which I, as a paying guest, shouldn't really have to deal with.
- Kim (6/5): Great location but photos of the property are not current - Great location near one of the best swimming beaches on the island, strong wifi, kitchen and shower toiletries provided. Clean, comfortable and private. Old photos that now don’t reflect the property as it currently is. The trees have grown so there is very little light, no outlook and it’s quite dark inside. The room is also more cluttered with furnishings. Also less than half a roll of toilet paper provided which isn’t ideal when you’re arriving after shops have closed. Front door lock was difficult to open and then it couldn’t be locked at all from inside so I couldn’t lock the door during my stay. I later checked other reviews for this particular issue and saw it has been mentioned previously so not sure if it has been addressed and reoccurring issue.
- Lee-Anne (9/5): Seculeded, cabin, close to beach and bus stops. - Easy access. Nothing
- Rebecca (7/5): Good - Location and privacy. Fully stocked kitchenette. Bed was a bit small and hard
- Tom (9/5): Palm Beach cottage at great value for money - Charming cottage in the bush - feels secluded but it’s very close to the best beach on Waiheke. Native birdsong. Cheap. The front door key was difficult to use.
- Carmel (9/5): A cosy, tropical haven - The very cosy, quiet, rustic jungle vibe. Lack of view
- Shane (4/5): - Close to beach
- Ross (8/5): Cosy and comfortable fairly retro - Cosy and comfortable Pretty dark inside as surrounded by bush - outlook would have been nice
- Petra (9/5): Superb -
- Isabella (8/5): Very good -
- Donohue (9/5): Excellent venue. Quiet, idyllic great for a few days away - Secluded. Had everything we needed Small toilet space snd no inside seating
- Greig (9/5): Fantastic stay, thank you! - The privacy was great and shower pressure exceptional.
- David (10/5): - loved the place!
- Gavin (8/5): Very good - Very cute and comfy.
- Ethyn (8/5): Very good - The location and quiet All the dead bugs and dust, also how close you are to other cabins.
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional - Very beautiful accommodation in a beautiful location. Relaxing, quiet and has everything I need. Nice staff too. Definitely stay again
- Ah (8/5): Very good - I loved the how cozy the room was and also how there was plenty of toiletries provided for use. everything was clean and they even provided an extra blanket for use. I didnt like anything everything met my standards
- Adam (9/5): Superb -
- Vannessa (9/5): Great private accommodation and cozy. Well presented and clean. Highly recommend!! - The main door to the unit was slightly frustrating but once you got your head around it, then all good.
- Al (3/5): Disappointing, luckily the weather was nice - location,quiet bush setting, close to beach. Accessability difficult.
Only one room. Foto’s on website of the other bungalows confusing!
No chairs, only bed to sit on against a sleeping pillow against the wall. (watching t.v. like that at night!!)
Only one bathtowel for 2 people for 3 nights showering!
Only one tea towel!
Al and Yvonne Wegman. (two fit 80 years old,visiting Waiheke often).
- Matt (9/5): great option for a restful long weekend. - beautiful location surrounded by trees and birdsong. short walk to the beach. nothing. it’s exactly as advertised.
- Gloria (7/5): Good -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovelies in amongst the trees watching and hearing birds. Close enough to walk to the beach and swm
- Dan (8/5): - Place was very tidy and private. Had clean sheets and a big bed!
- Sarah (10/5): highly recommended! - The property was by lock box entry, but the owner was still incredibly helpful.
The property is wonderfully situated in the middle of the bush, with tons of song birds, and a short walk to palm beach as well as the bus stop which runs very regularly and easy to use. Great stay! Highly recommended.
- Helen (10/5): Waiheke - Awesome can't wait to go back
- Verified traveler (4/5): - No parking on site, although there was a driveway that no-one seemed to park in due to fear of being blocked in I guess. The pathways were rough, property was tired - key box was hard to see, too bad if it was dark when you got there, you would have needed a torch or flood light....
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was as described, we were happy with our stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property is surrounded by bush, clean, has everything you need provided.is not a fancy place, cute cottage, small shower and no outdoor rather than a tiny deck. It was fine for a 3 night stay for us.
- Natália (10/5): Well-equiped, peaceful and beautiful - It was so cozy and it had everything thing we could need :) DVDs for a rainy day, peace and quite, a beautiful balcony.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Really feels like you are in the treetops! Convenient to beach and buses
- Verified traveler (8/5): Treetops - The treetops cottage is quaint and cosy. The light in the porch was not working and made it difficult to find the lockbox.
- Sleeping with the squirrels (10/5): Bungalow for two - It's not a hotel with reception and services, it's a bungalow located in a forest, hidden by the trees, very close to the beach and at 7 / 10 min away with the bus (30 min walking) to the countdown.
The bungalow we have chosen was for 2 people, small and cosy with everything you need to cook and eat.
- Lorraine (10/5): Nice comfortable cabin .. ..
- Fabulous experience.. our hosts were very accommodating and all the info provided about the accommodation and Waiheke was excellent.
- Latisha (8/5): Serenity - I loved How serene and secluded it was.. very peaceful.. I managed to relax..
- Jamie (10/5): Great Self-Catering Spot - What a lovely spot! Great self-catering accommodation. We stayed in the Treetops and it was a lovely, cosy holiday. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for an active, independent holiday with a great place to come back to at the end of the day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Kate was amazingly helpful made the whole experience as carefree as my neurotic mind would allow. Thank you.
- Campbell (6/5): - Value: Over-priced; Cleanliness: Tidy;
Nice little art gallery just down the road by the beach
- James (4/5): - Facilities: Shabby, Run-down; Value: Excessive, Unreasonable; Service: Amateur; Cleanliness: Dirty, Lacking;
Needs a do up, a bit old and tired.
- SteveH. (10/5): - Facilities: Above average; Value: Affordable; Service: Remarkable; Cleanliness: Delightful;
Bus stops within 100mtr
