- jaques (7/5): Great location at a reasonable price - Great location and room was spotless
Its a 1960/70’s style motel but functional and clean
If your ok with retro and basic style motel then it a good option close to many eateries
- Benjamin Ronb (5/5): - Clean linen. Great location Dated amenities. Smelly carpet.
- Michael (9/5): Good value for the location. Recommended. - I like the on site parking. This is a budget place but it’s clean and doesn’t smell. I’ve stayed here a number of times and have never had cause for complaint. Nothing really

You can hear most things going on the adjacent rooms. We were lucky our neighbours were not noisy, but we could even hear their tvs.

After hours bell did not work when i accidentally locked myself out. Had to ask next door as i had locked myself mobile as well. But the young man who helped was very kind and polite.
- Troy (3/5): -
- Michelle (5/5): Quiet and clean, close to Melbourne amusement, rooms are old and in need of some tlc - Close to the zoo, easy to find Room smelt musty, old and out dated,

- Anu (10/5): - We stayed at the motel for two nights (24th +25th December) and returned back again to stay on 27th December. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable for our stay. The staff are very friendly and approachable. We did not have any problems during our stay. There was ample space to park our car. The motel is at a walking distance from the Tram station and other public transport and quite near from the CBD and other shops/restaurants. For our stay on 27th Dec, we had requested for an early check-in which was approved by the motel and they kept our room ready by the time we reached the location. We had a very nice experience and would definitely recommend this motel to family and friends.
- Michael (7/5): Have stated regularly over the years, offers much in the way of convenience and value - Location Nothing in particular
- Simone (5/5): - Clean motel. Old but clean. Great location Everything was good except the mattress. You could feel the springs in it. Woke up in pain. Both beds in the room were bad.
- Phillip (7/5): Great Location & Value for money - Location to Sydney Rd & tram or walk to Grattan St Hospitals, air con unit worked well albeit on the noisier side given it's age in 35 degree heat, reception staff very friendly, and car park for each room is a bonus in and around town these days. Freezer needs a good defrost as you couldn't fit anything into it due to the amount of ice built up, and be careful not to burn your hand on outside metal door handle on rooms facing north during very hot full sun days. Guest Room book needs a good update, it still advertises Bridie O'Reillys pub at the old Sarah Sands building that closed in 2017.
- Trish (6/5): A budget motel in Parkville to - The superb and surrounding parklands are beautiful. Trams frequent from Royal Pde.
The motel is quiet even next to the street. The facilities are in need of an upgrade and the surrounds need cleaning (eg.graffiti removed, gardens tended.)
There are room windows without blinds which allows light to stream in very early.
- andrew (8/5): -
- Jacob (7/5): -
- graham (7/5): Good value for short stays - Great location But dates
- Trish (7/5): -
- timand2037 (9/5): - Clean and well located
- Rebecca (6/5): Location isn’t everything. Choose somewhere else if you want a clean safe place. - Location was perfect and staff were very friendly. Obviously an older motel but hot water took so long to
Come through I thought there was none.
Pillows looked older than me and were pilling so bad with no protectors or anything.
Bathroom looked like it had been panted by a blind person. Shower needed its silicone redone which someone had attempted but it was all over the tiles and not actually in the gaps.
Cup and spoon were dirty- had to wash before using.
It felt like a motel I may have gotten murdered in. Didn’t feel safe.
- Robyn (9/5): Great location for a good price with helpful, friendly staff. - Great location with friendly staff at a very reasonable price. Parking outside room was also great.
- Trevor (8/5): -
- Nicholas (5/5): -
- Dianne (10/5): - The service was amazing. Very friendly, professional staff. Thank you for your hospitality!
- Laura (8/5): -
- Susie L (8/5): Location and value for money - Great little old school motel with on site parking. Right near Sydney Road and the number 19 tram to the city. For this price - nothing.
- Maaten (9/5): Stayed for Good Things at Flemington, great value hotel for such a cheap price. - Great value little motel, easy and quick check in, close to trains and bus to Melbourne CBD, shops and food very close by, clean, comfortable and quiet, will stay again for sure. Bed was a little hard, but no big deal.
- Belinda (10/5): -
- Scott (7/5): - Close to everything. Comfortable bed Got what you pay for. Bet no real concerns
- Elaine (9/5): -
- Russell (5/5): -
- Julie (7/5): Excellent value and very clean - Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was basic but very clean and we had all we needed. Great location just a short walk to Sydney Road. Really good value for money. The shower was a little noisy and the hot water a little hard to regulate but that's really not an issue for us. Also we found leftover food from the previous customers in the fridge.
- lawrence (9/5): - the manager on the day was fantastic and a great help
- Tamara (8/5): - Great location. A basic but good hotel.
- Taliesin (5/5): Parkville Motel - The location was not overly expensive. Moreover, it was not too far from where I was scheduled to receive further training for work. The glasses in the room were dirty and the air conditioner was very loud. Furthermore, the staff member took quite some time to serve me upon arriving at the scheduled time. Lastly, the people staying at the motel were not of sound mind.
- John (8/5): - Price and the bed was comfortable with the unit being clean. Friendly staff. Struggled a little to get the Tv to work
- Wayne (7/5): -
- Sair (1/5): The apparent porn movie being filmed loudly next door was just plain ick. - The walking vicinity to where I needed to go each day. It took more than 20 minutes standing in an empty reception office, calling out and ringing the bell to rouse someone to attend the desk to check in. Ringing the “if unattended” phone number didn’t help – they couldn’t find the person who should have been in attendance either. She eventually emerged looking dishevelled and bleary eyed. I was told payment had not been received from the room (it had – I had paid through Booking.com) so was going to be charged again. I suggested I provide the confirmation email and that it was on the Motel to follow up the issue. I was eventually able to check into the musty smelling room, disappointed to see opening a window to get some fresh air was not an option. The only alternative was to leave the door open so all and sundry could see in. Strangely enough, the closed door and lack of opening windows was not enough to keep the never ending cigarette smoke from seeping into the room whenever people next door sat outside smoking.
On my first night, I was disappointed to find I was unable to use any of the cutlery in the room, as it had been thrown back in the cupboard haphazardly and still coated with the residual smears of food from the last user. No washing up liquid or any other suitable cleaning supplies were available to remedy the situation. The wine glasses were so filthy they were bordering on opaque. I would suggest that if the Motel chooses to provide dinnerware for use, then the addition of dishwashing liquid, a sponge and a tea towel would be useful accompaniments. After eating my microwaved meal with my fingers, I went to climb into bed around 9:30pm, only to find blood splatter marks across the top of the sheets and one pillow on the double bed. I elected to sleep in the single bed for the remainder of the stay. If I had spare funds available to go elsewhere, I would have left immediately to go elsewhere.
- Brenton (10/5): - Quiet
