Quiet location and only a couple of hundred meters from the center of town, that's why we have stayed numerous times. Some minor maintenance is required to sharpen up some scraped walls and doors.

Philip (9/5): It has been exceptional. - The room we have has a very large Spa Pool just outside and undercover. The weather has been too cold to use it. Great heat pump. Moderate size TV. very good bathroom and shower. 4 place seating at table. Very quiet. I didn't get to use the gym but it looks great. The cleanliness of this Motel would be in the top 5% in NZ. (I drive all of NZ at least 1 X per year) All hotel/motel rooms are dustier than pre-Covid. I wonder if the cleaners are not changing the vacuum HEPA filters often enough. This motel is one of the best places in NZ we have stayed at.

Peter (7/5): A good location but can be prone to sounds carrying between units. - Great location, very nice staff, comfortable and clean. Units are very close and sound proofing isn't perfect. We had a crying baby next door one night and someone outside speaking loudly well into the early hours on another night.

The rooms have an odd smell about them. Not dampness perhaps the chemicals used for cleaning. But they lack airflow.

Also, we thought our son would just be sleeping on the sofa bed in the lounge but they had organised an extra bed to be set up which was wonderful. Thank you! Without an extractor fan in the kitchen it got quite smokey when we were cooking.

And everything was so clean. I couldn't find any sharp knives for cooking and the staff found some for me. Thank you. I couldn't find the TV remote.

One of the noisiest places we have stayed in for years- it seemed like there was a long-term stayer in the unit next to us (unit 8) and she went out and started her car in front of our unit about every hour, revved it up for no apparent reason and talked loudly to people coming and going. This went on until about 5 a.m. Really, really loud and not much we could do about it. Could hear a man snoring through wall in the other unit as well.

Dewes (8/5): Nice stay - Nice stay. I booked the accessible room for 1 night (Room 3) Very spacious with plenty of room to manoeuvre. The bed was semi soft and the room was clean. The air con was great. If you need a shower chair, you may need to bring your own or the motel may have some available? (Not sure didn’t ask). The walls are a little thin but wasn’t touching bad though. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall was a nice stay. Thank you! The little hill from the car park to get to the room 😅 Trying to push a wheelchair up that lil hill with all your gear was abit of be a mish 🫣
