Guest Reviews
- Jazelle (10/5): -
- Natalie (7/5): Aside from the mix up with the bed arrangements in the 2nd bedroom; it was a lovely location with a casual bistro/pu - Convenient location I was disappointed that I’d booked a 2 BD apt with 1 king bed and the2nd bedroom was meant to have 2 Single beds. However there seemed to be a miscommunication between Booking.com and the resort and they didn’t have the 2nd bedroom set up properly . They then wanted to charge me an extra $50 to seperate the king bed in the 2nd bedroom- which I refused to pay on principle. Very disappointing

- John (9/5): Great experience. - Apartment was well designed with excellent facilities. On site swimming pool, bar and restaurant.. Construction work being carried out on adjacent site.
- Andromenda (10/5): Fantastic, and can’t wait to come back. - Recently renovated, spacious, close to the pool and restaurant. Nothing

- Claire (10/5): Great accommodation in a great location with everything needed for a few days away - Lovely spacious and clean apartment with everything we needed (and the added bonus of a bath).
Loved the fact that we had a garage to park in - much needed in extreme temperatures we had during our stay.
We were a very short walk to both Nineteen and Mezze - both of which we enjoyed.

- Vanessa (10/5): -
- Partridge (8/5): - Great location in the valley. Perfect weekend away. Restaurants 2 min walk from apartment. Pool was unclean. Not appealing to jump in. Pillows were flat and uncomfortable. Suggest take your own pillows.

- sueR8115ZK (10/5): Best ever stay - Everything about these apartments is first class - well stocked with crockery , cutlery & glassware. Unit 226 was spotless , spacious & light filled. ( furniture wasn’t the most comfortable however 😞) Would definitely stay again , felt it was great value for money……
- Alex (10/5): -
- John (8/5): - Lovely apartment and perfect for stay. Limited appointments but comfortable for the stay
- Susan (10/5): We will be back. - The location was perfect in the Hunter Valley. Golf course proximity was great , walks , food drinks options were excellent. The two restaurants were excellent, Mezze for a great breakfast and Nineteen for Happy Hour and the trivia that was on the first night of our stay. The apartment was beautifully appointed, delightfully located, everything we needed and more! This was a perfect find for us as a stopover on our road trip from Barwon’s Heads to Noosa
- Samira (10/5): -
- David (8/5): - Good location, nice rooms Overall was good, but a very annoying thing was where another guest parked over our designated parking spot (they parked over two spots because they had a large SUV) - we reported this to reception but the response was 'find another spot' which meant we had to park in someone else's spot. They should have asked the offender to move?
- Clare (9/5): Everything in one location! - So convenient with everything we needed in the one location. Cafe/bar, restaurant and kids play area. Beautiful and homely accommodation. We’ll definitely be back! Kids play area could do with some lights for evenings as it got dark fast.
The only by the glass wine st the bar wasn’t that good. More by the glass options please.
Would love a Nespresso pod machine and simple milk frother in room.
But there wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
- Ranjan (10/5): The highlight of our holiday in Australia! - First class infrastructure, with a huge room, a full kitchen and a large sitting room, a balcony with its own patch of garden and a covered garage leading into the sitting room. There is no room servicd but the Nineteen restaurant is literally a few steps away and serves excellent hearty fare. Special shout out to Abdallah in reception for his knowledge and friendly helpfulness. Everything was fabulous.
- 472janines (10/5): Lovely and relaxed stay - From customer service all the way to check out. Outstanding service received with a lovely welcome from Lilly at reception . The apartment is very well equipped and has everything to make you feel welcome. Very comfortable and super clean.
- KylieK204 (10/5): Will definitely stay here again - Beautiful well appointed gas heating and cooking full size fridge fully stocked mini bar very clean and comfortable with your own lockable remote garage. Small amount of mould in shower around the floor sealed edge.
The only thing i missed was a full length mirror.
Walking distance to Nineteen very convenient.
- nancyferreri81 (10/5): Amazing place ! - We just stayed at the apartments ove r the weekend and we were upgraded our apartment was absolutely amazing . I will definitely be back !!! Thank you 😊
- Stacey_lay_27 (10/5): Amazing place to stay, luxury apartment. Family of 4 loved it! - Pay a little more and book this hotel of you want some space. Instead of a small hotel room with 2 beds next to one another, you get a full apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen and fireplace. Walk across the road to restaurant called Nineteen where the food is average but it was busy and good service. As an Accor Plus member we get discounts so it was worth it. Highly recommend and will want to stay here again if we can afford it.
- Dominique (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location for exploring the Hunter valley! Loved having a fireplace
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- John (8/5): - Great villa and lovely surrounds. Not the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in though. Excellent having a private lockup garage and being able to plugin the EV. Hopefully the dining options improve a bit with time.

- Stephanie (8/5): Very good -
- Toni (10/5): It was nice get away and we were comfortable - Clean and central
- Albert (10/5): Based on my experience, I will be returning.. - I did not have breakfast
- S249GNks (10/5): Cozy, comfortable, modern - The hotel is centrally located within hunter valley, with an onsite bar and gold course.
The apartment itself was clean and modern with a connected sheltered private garage, gas fire place and fully furnished kitchen that were really nice touches to create a comfortable and cosy stay.
With respect to facilities and services, this takes more of an airbnb format rather than a hotel, which is fine as long as you know what youre getting
- Daniel (2/5): - The apartment is clean, tidy and modern.
Booking was delayed due to booking issues. Booked for two bedroom initially but changed on my Expedia account however it was not transferred or communicated with the apartment.
Reservation staff was nice and helpful and fixed once all details were given
- Akhil (9/5): Superb -

- Ellen (10/5): - We were impressed with our accommodation from the minute we arrived. It was very surprising to find a garage attached to the apartment and this made unpacking quick and easy. Our apartment was spacious, clean and quiet. The Sports Bar is conveniently located for a quiet drink and meal. The surrounding area is great for walks and kangaroo spotting. We will definitely stay next time we visit the Hunter Valley
- Cheryle (8/5): Very good -
- 159RobertR159 (10/5): Family weekend - Excellent location to the wineries , accommodation and facilities
We also had family friendly bush walks with plenty of kangaroos to look at.
- Samantha (10/5): Fantastic apartment - The apartment looked brand new and was extremely spacious. Spotlessly clean and perfect for our group. The grounds and facilities were great and the bar/ restaurant just across the road was ideal after a day out at the wineries. Nothing - everything was great
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Anita (8/5): Very good -

- Jacui (10/5): - Just returned from an amazing stay at Mercure The Vintage in Hunter Valley, and I can't recommend it enough! Room 210 was an absolute delight. The decor was lovely, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere that made it feel like a home away from home.
The peace and quiet were just what I needed for a relaxing getaway. Plus, the location is perfect! Just a short walk to Nineteen, where we enjoyed a fantastic meal and a shirt drive to all the amazing wineries.
If you're planning a trip to Hunter Valley, make sure to book your stay at Mercure The Vintage. You won't be disappointed!
- James (8/5): Good spot for Golfing weekend, Concerts at local vineyeards and wine tours - Location for concerts in Hunter was great. Quiet as well Hot water temperature was erratic - reported to the hotel staff.
- Lyndsay (10/5): - Fantastic location, great family amenities - restaurant and bar Nineteen is brilliant for meals and socialising for the whole family. We had a lovely weekend away.
- Touring_GA (10/5): Top Appartement - Top location direct at a golf course. Very good equipped with a bottle red wine at the beginning. Ali there is a very friendly and supportive person also German and Greek speaking.
We can recommend this location and in the dawn you can see wild kangaroos around the place.
- ChrisandDavid2016 (10/5): Perfect venue for a 3 day New Year getaway - We stayed for three nights over new year in a 1 bedroom apartment. We were very lucky to be allocated one of the very recently refurbished apartments, which felt like we were the first occupants. The apartment was perfect for our needs and actually had many features we were not expecting - like the locked undercover garage. There was everything you could need in the apartment including a small dishwasher, big fridge/freezer, washing machine and drier. There was access to two swimming pool complexes within the property. Not that we are golfers but perfect if golf is your thing as the golf course surrounds the property. The additional bonus was the the Nineteen Restaurant/bar, albeit privately owned accepts the Accor dining rewards for lunch and dinner but not for breakfast currently. Nineteen restaurant/bar is within the property and was a 2 minute walk from our apartment and has a small bottle store attached. The nearest Coles supermarket is about a 10 minute drive in Huntlee for supplies. The location is great for vineyard/winery visits albeit bookings are pretty essential in advance. Staff were friendly and accommodating and we highly recommend this property - at this time of the year it was peak pricing but well-worth it we felt. A vehicle is essential in this region.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - The location and apartment was excellent
- Christopher (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful setting, enough room for 5a and 1c. Lovely apartment. Na
- Maria (10/5): Perfect ending to 2024 - Location, pool, bistro close by and apartment is filly equipped None
- Chloe (8/5): - Lovely and clean, and comfortable. Some of the appliances were a bit confusing and our washing machine hose wasn’t in the right spot so when I did the washing, the floor flooded. The taps were also turned off so perhaps someone had experienced something similar. They were quick to fix it and mop up the area - response was swift and great though. Lovely stay and we’ll be back. Great soaps in the bathroom, and such a spacious bathroom which was beautiful. Lovely plantation blinds and nice to have the outside area. Great pools to choose from. Easy to get around and overall great stay!
- Mayouran (10/5): - Great clean property with a great restaurant for a great any time of the day.
- Angthepang (10/5): A perfect base to explore the Hunter Valley - Beautiful stay in the 3 bed apartment overlooking the golf course. A perfect base for a friends get-together. Accommodation was spotless, beds were comfortable, and space was perfect for entertaining. Kitchen was well equipped (although a bigger dishwasher would have been better!)
- 444kristyj (8/5): Weekend Getaways - The Grand Mercure in the Hunter Valley may be my new favourite place to stay - definitely book early but it's worth it. The property has everything you need and probably the only place in the Hunter that has a place to eat & continue the drinks that you can WALK too. Plenty of space too!
- Jas (7/5): Good -
- Benjamin (10/5): - Very nice area to stay and close to good vineyards
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benno (9/5): Superb -
- Narelle (10/5): - Very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay
- Jalpa (10/5): Exceptional - Staying at Grand Mercure The Vintage in Hunter Valley was a pleasant experience. The resort features modern amenities, a relaxing atmosphere, and on-site dining options.
- Michael (7/5): Good -
- Heffernan (10/5): Exceptional - The two ensuite bathrooms. Big bedrooms. Foxtel. Proximity to nineteen restaurant/pub .
- Grahame (7/5): Nice - Not too pricey Discovered there was no plug for the bathtub or laundry tub first night. Too late to call reception. Rectified day 2 by calling reception
- Cameron (9/5): Great place to stay for all generations - The facilities, particularly the new Tavern - Nineteen, has great food, entertainment & kids play area.
- James (9/5): classy and chilled vibe - fantastic location, classy yet relaxed vibe. comfy beds and the 2br apartment is huge with a big couch opposite the fireplace. food options at the vintage are excellent and reasonably priced. a few general wear and tear items around the apartment but certainly wouldn’t stop a return visit.
- James (10/5): - Good value sized apartment with lock up garage connected to living area for easy access.
- Whitaker (9/5): Superb -
- Rosetta (4/5): - Didn’t realise I booked a disability excessable room, so the bathroom room wasn’t what I needed.
Dishwasher was very smell.
- Hieu (9/5): Superb -
- Devanilo (10/5): Awesome - Everything, even the location surprised me.
- Cathie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sutteekarn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenni (8/5): Very good - Accessibility to restaurants, location within the valley, comfort of the accommodation Very poor wifi.
- Sharon (9/5): Superb -
- Nyrée (10/5): This is our favourite winter escape - Cosy winter escape. plenty of space for family , great food nearby.
Spotlessly clean.
Easy parking.
Very peaceful.
Stunning golf course! nothing
- Lagalag (8/5): Family Outing - Big rooms, each bedroom with its own bathroom, glad to see eco refillable bottles of soap, shampoo and conditioner attached in the shower wall instead of the small single-use bottles, easy to use the cooktop and microwave. Nothing really. If I want to be picky, it was hard to mix the hot and cold water taps in the bathroom sink and shower. Would have preferred a mixer tap.
- Christine (9/5): Amazing relaxed family long weekend in the Hunter Valley - Location, comfortable sofa and beds, fire, heated pool Some of the chairs had rips and the carpet was a bit stained
- Mm (10/5): A very comfortable and enjoyable stay - Excellent location and facilities. Great for families with young kids. A stone throw away from a very nice restaurant with play area A little dusty inside bedroom and springs on sofabed were far from comfortable.
- Luke (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (3/5): Disappointed to say the least - The grounds are quiet and stunning The fire, which was a drawing card didn’t work. 🤦🏻♂️
