- Alex (6/5): - The room was freezing cold when I checked in. There's no regulated heating, and classic radiators were ice cold. Thankfully I was given a portable heater after complaining. Towel drier was luke warm, hence bathroom was cold continuously. I appreciate electricity prices, but I think for a 4 star hotel charging circa £200 per night this situation should be more than embarrassing. I would also consider a good carpet cleaning throughout the hotel (including the rooms) as their current condition is well below satisfactory.

- Pauline (10/5): - Has a really lovely welcome after a long journey which goes such a long way. The room was great and I had no need to worry about noise from overlooking the busy train station. The secondary glazing made it cozy and quiet. Breakfast was good too.
- Iain (10/5): Beautiful apartment close to all amenities. - We really love the accommodation, it was clean, very nicely furnished and the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were lovely and just what we needed. Beds were really comfortable also. The Aparthotel is ideally situated also, being close to the train station, shops and only 5 - 10 minutes walk from Eldon Square. It is right in the middle of town.

Never warned before hand about international soccer march being played the same day in Newcastle as our arrival. Area seemed to be in a seedy part of town. Personally told the receptionist on the apartment side of the facility that we were cancelling our reservation and the reasons why.

- Dawn (10/5): - The dust bunnies in the room were over the top, it was insane how much dust was piled up on top of tall furniture and along the walls where the carpet meets. Had to ask for a portable heater as the radiator was not working. The mattresses should have been replaced a LONG time ago, every time my son shifted slightly another spring flew up and jabbed me in the ribs. The bathroom/shower was really nice but the ventilation not great, every thing was soaking wet in there after showering, even in luke-warm water. The food was ok, breakfast pretty good. All the employees we interacted with were very nice. Location is in the center of it ALL, central station right across the street, plenty of restaurants nearby along with museums/shops/groceries.
- Jean (10/5): Would definitely recommend this hotel - I chose this hotel for location to the train station and good price point for a one night stay after going to the theatre. I was very impressed with the cleanliness, it was immaculate. Comfortable bed, though we were facing a main busy street, the noise did not affect us. Polite, friendly staff and impressed that when we returned late at night, a member of staff checked we were staying before allowing us in. The room was compact, but perfect for our stay. A beautiful old building, well maintained.

The breakfast was ok but we did expect more choice given the 4 star rating of hotel. More cereals fresh fruit and choice of breads etc. In fact we have had much better breakfasts at Premier Inn. Excellent location in the city.

- Barbara (8/5): Temperature Challenges & Sparsely Outfitted - Location was excellent and quiet, unit spacious, bed comfortable and staff helpful. No view from the window. Room temperature was much too hot and no way to adjust. Fans were available, but didn’t help much. Only the very basic of kitchen items were provided. Example: Only 2 forks, knives, spoons provided for 2 people so had to wash between dinner & dessert. No dish soap. No second dish towel available when the coffee maker leaked. Felt the establishment did things as cheaply as possible which reflected poorly on the overall value of the stay.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Not too bad - The room was ok as a large ish single rather than small double. I wouldn't like to think of two of us in it. It was quite dated but very clean. The bed would have been comfortable if it didn't dip down at the edge making me feel like I was going to fall out. I had to sleep on the side against the wall. The only real complaint was that it was incredibly hot in there even with the fan on all night.

The hotel staff were friendly, the bar staff were unfortunately a bit unfriendly, but the delicious drink made up for it. The room was nice of a little compact in places. The room and bathroom were both very clean. The room was unfortunately very hot and we could not see a thermostat.

Only 5 clothes hangers. Very limited storage space for clothes. Tiny complimentary toiletries. No city view as it says in the listing. Facing a block of offices. So a bit diapointing.

Btw we went into the hotel to check in thinking that’s what I’d booked but was told we needed to all up street and round the corner for the apartments which was fine.

- Jo-Anne (8/5): Fab staff, warm welcome - Staff were absolutely fabulous, warm welcome and very helpful. The dining room and bar were in beautiful condition and the breakfast was lovely; bacon, sausage, eggs, black pudding, hash browns, beans tomatoes plus pastries, cereals yogurts and a fresh fruit salad. The beds were comfy and the shower was powerful. Some of the carpet on the room was a little tired as was some furniture. The mirror was high and the chair was low. The hairdryer is attached and with bit a long cors so can make drying your hair a little awkward but we managed. The issues were slight and wouldn't put us off stating there again. The location is opposite the train station so very handy. Again - staff were absolutely lovely.
- dino (4/5): Great room but baking hot, no AC - The room was exceptionally hot in comparison to other appartments as we were out for a stagdo and rented other rooms. We had a big fan in the room which did little to cool us down. We had to open the windows wider. Requested the front desk to provide extra smaller fans to try and cool us down.

- Kayleigh (6/5): Luxury Penthouse - Luxury Penthouse - Be aware this room is sold as having a balcony and roof top terrace (pictures show this) however the balcony is locked indefinitely and there is no roof top terrace as pictured. We were very disappointed as this was part of the whole reason we booked. The apartment itself was clean and tidy, and has a fantastic double whirlpool bath tub.

Not much of a view though, but in all fairness we didn’t book a room with a view specifically. The hotel is ideally located a couple of hundred yards from the train station and close to pubs, restaurants etc.

Check in went quickly despite the lengthy queue. The furniture was dated and the bed and pillows were not very comfortable so i didnt sleep well the room was like a furnace , luckily there was a fan which did cool the room abit. Lovely staff on duty for breakfast and the breakfast was not too bad (couldve been a bit hotter) I dont feel it was worthy the very inflated price

Tried to double charge us for food at checkout.

The shower temperature was difficult to suss out, the sink in the bathroom was set up so it would flood the area around, the room was directly opposite Wetherspoons so very noisy. You get basics for the price which was just over £140. It was just ok

- Allister (6/5): - Booked "penthouse apartment".. very disappointed to discover that the bifold doors onto the balcony could not be used "due to health and safety" despite the balcony view featuring prominently in the listing.. air con in bedroom did not work at all, so literally zero sleep (until about 8am the next morning, when it started to work perfectly..) .. and a slight oversight in the listing, no mention that the majority of the wall between the bedroom and bathroom is a window. Seriously? Other than that, exactly as expected. :(
