Guest Reviews
- Tasha (4/5): - There was no linen. We were told by reception to bring sheets towels for single beds. Not told to bring blankets. Got there and not enough warm blankets. Also room not ready and when we went in floors still wet from mopping. Fridge very smelly and hadn’t been cleaned. Fridge not being clean
- Faatasi (8/5): Australian Celtic Festival - It was walking distance to the town centre.
We stayed in a family cabin with cooking and bathroom facilities, there were toilet block and BBQ facilities also.
- Mishelle (10/5): - Ever thing
- Guest (8/5): -
- Jonathon (7/5): - Worked for me thankyou
- Debby (5/5): Nil - Location to town centre. Being positioned directly on the highway, very tired accommodating needing renovation & deep cleaning. Smell in the whole place like the drains were blocked.
- Taya (10/5): Easy, comfortable stay and a good spot to recharge on a road trip, with exceptional service from reception - Clean, comfortable and easy stay. The location was great and it was nice having a simple, stress free place to land after a long day of travel with the kids. Everything we needed was there and it felt safe and well looked after. Very spacious!! Nothing to fault, we had a really easy and comfortable stay.
- Catherine (10/5): Happy to book there again when passing through Glen Innes. - Very friendly and informative greeting upon arrival at park. Facilities were very clean and convenient. Nothing!
- Emily (4/5): - We had 2 adults and 2 kids, no linen or towels for the kids were supplied - there was an extra charge per child for this even though we paid for the kids in our booking. There was no mention of this when booking, however staff did call and ask if we require linen for the kids after we made the payment in full. Beds were hard, the toilet had strands of hair at the back of the seat & the lock on the door was dodgy.
- Jins (5/5): -
- Chris (1/5): Absolutely crap - - That when we purchased the motel online it was for double bed and bunks I booked it for 4 adults and when we turned up the double bed made when lining but we had to pay and extra $10 per person for lining on the bunk bed now there’s nothing saying that on the website about paying extra not happy about it , even the mattress were dirty and horrible to sleep on I will never be staying at this place again
- Paul (5/5): The accommodation was adequate for the purpose of our visit to Glen Innes - The location was ideal The cabin we booked and prepaid was not available due to a double booking.
- James (7/5): -
- Rose (2/5): Not a park for fossickers - The only thing good was the location I'll start witht the fact that i don't like to leave bad reviews. We drove 2 days from Adelaide to go fossicking so we thought this would be the perfect place to stay. (So we knew we were going to get dirty). We got the most expensive room/apt. There were stains on mattresses and sheets.the tv was outdated, the internet was very laggy and would turn off constantly.
The biggest problem was that the entire stay we could not shower, it was either freezing cold which we tried to bear or scalding hot, so hot it burnt my son. It changed instantly so you couldn't judge when it was going to kick out.we tird everyrhing to get it to stay even warm/cold, moved the hadle the tiniest bit one way or jumped in as soon soon as it changed from ive cold to starting to get warm but then it just went straight to boiling pioint.i bought it up every single day, we even went to the caravan park showers ro try and both kens and women's and it was the same. They claimed no one else was having the same issue and were told it would get fixed every morning i went in. But it wasn't fixed and we stayed for 4-5 days. If it wasn't holidays and everywhere else being booked we would have left. They were so unbothered when i kept asking if anyone is having the same issue as it was day two of us completely dirty and I'd get the same answer (it must just be something wrong with our room). Try this or that... If it was in our room and the park facilities then it was an issue throughout. They offered no discount or tried to rectify it at all. The price paid to stay is something you'd pay for a 4-5 star.
I don't know if there was a previous owner who was very into fossicking because they have a great set up for seiving the gravel and wash, it's listed on the map the info center gives you as a place to stop for fossicking but it's been left to rot. The tubs have been left with water that is foul.
- Jacinta (2/5): - Location Dirty🤢🤢 bed was terrible black mould all over bathroom ceiling cooking utensils dirty and need updating toilet bin not emptied full of used sanitary items🤢 only 2 towels provided for 3 people cockraoaches in the bed and in the cabin
Was absolutely disgusted and disappointed and overpriced for such standards😪 we have stayed here previously a few times and sadly don't think we will back😪
- Sampson (8/5): -
- Oudette (10/5): Was very chilled and relaxed environment - Close to town nice and friendly and clean
- Padre Andy (8/5): Position, position, position - Nice small park, walking distance to shops and CBD. Great staff. The camp kitchen was small and only had one small fridge.
- Kim (5/5): Average - Close to town Bed was hard needs a topper on it or replacement
Floor was dirty
Lounge wasn’t worth sitting on too uncomfortable n low to the floor
- John (9/5): -
- Hayley (7/5): -
- Bec (9/5): Hello GI - Location
Set up of cabin
Ability to fit up to 5
Self contained - great!
Atmosphere
Quiet
Bunk bed - kids fave! Beds - horrible. Worst sleep ever.
Dodgy door lock and frame.
Cleanliness was ok but not the best - cutlery and crockery and shower area.
- Katy (2/5): so bad the room -
- Julie (10/5): -
- Brenda (10/5): . - Great communication for travellers who are on the road and can’t always check in during business hours. Nil
- Kenneth (8/5): A great value for money park with friendly and helpful staff making for a great relaxing time. - The room (cabin 3) was comfy and met all our needs, hot shower was perfect after a day of hard labor, fridge was well big enough for two of us and ice bricks for esky, also was a proper 2 door mini fridge (not a bar fridge), extra points for that!, the location being so close to the local RSL was perfect, a short stroll for dinner and a couple cold ones (highly recommend). I actually forgot to request extra linen ahead of time but the young fella at reception was happy to help, was courteous and very knowledgeable/helpful with information on the park and surrounding area, we left feeling refreshed and happy with the accommodation. only gripe would have to be our devices could not pick up the free WIFI, it was not a big issue for us as we just hot spot from our phone and we were basically just shower and sleep there so very minor oversight there and that's it, no problems at all!
- Ian (7/5): Was really good. Very happy i stayed there. - Close to shops and pubs How small it was and located centrally in suburbia
- Holly (4/5): Wish it wasn't disappointing - The location The cleanliness of the rooms could of been better
We stayed years ago it was definitely not how we remembered and has been let go and it was disappointing
- Rebecca (7/5): - Location close to shops.RSL club
Nice and roomy inside, parking outside room clean camp kitchen Beds were hard, air-conditioner noisy
- Kingsley (5/5): Peaceful and quiet - It was a lovely place but the only that was a bit uncomfortable being so close to the main road and no front gate for security.
- Rob (10/5): -
- Jo (6/5): Great overnight stay - Clean, great value for money
- sharon (7/5): -
- Carter (10/5): -
- Sarjan (10/5): -
- Jeff (9/5): Ok -
- Zeneta (8/5): -
- Leverton (7/5): -
- Kim (7/5): We would stay again - Excellent location close to all amenities The cabins are fairly dated but good for the price
- Kim (6/5): We would stay there again - Location is excellent. Easy walk into town Cabins weren’t cleaned to a high standard
- Karen (10/5): -
- John (10/5): -
- Eoin (3/5): -
- Bowden (3/5): Uncomfortable - St Staff rude & unhelpful. Instructions to use stove where confusing when I asked staff for help it was refused. No linen supplied for spare bed had to use my own. All in all I wouldn't stay here again
- Anna L P (9/5): Well equipped, and well place cabin - Excellent location for an event at GI RSL club, and central to GI facilities; better for the RSL club than any of the motels that I could find. The floor could have been a little cleaner. This is the only place I've stayed at through Booking.com where the wifi password wasn't in the room - ask reception.
- Charleigh (10/5): -
- Lucas And Natalie (7/5): -
- Jenny (8/5): Will definitely stay again. - It was a home away from home. No tv reception at all
- Glenn (10/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): Peaceful and stress free - Awesome customer service easy to access my cabin it was quiet and peaceful and the cabin was awesome I would highly recommend There was nothing I was unhappy with
- Michael (6/5): -
- Nathan (10/5): - Friendly staff, room was comfortable and clean
- Leanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shawn (7/5): Good -
- Ricardo (7/5): Great stay unfortunately there cleaner missed a few things. - Thr location and setup of the cabin was on point. Unfortunately something went a miss with the cleaning of the cabin prior to our arrival? The floors weren't cleaned and we needed to ask for toilet paper. I doubt this is normal and obviously something went wrong but it was a great stay regardless.
- Parker (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (9/5): Superb -
- Holly (5/5): Passable - Good location walking distance to Main Street. Good space with all the appliances needed to be self sufficient. The only thing was the cleanliness lots of dust, under the bed wasn’t clean (my kids pushed their toy cars under so that’s how I found out). The table covering also was not very clean.
- Tony (9/5): Superb -
- Francene (10/5): Totally enjoyed our brief stay! - Very easy check-in. Lovely staff.
- Lindemann (1/5): I want a refund - Sadly, nothing If your standards aren't high and you don't mind a room with the last person's left overs and dust & filthy behind, this is the place for you! Floors where not washed or vacuumed, shower was full of hair from multiple parts of the body..
Kitchen cupboards where filthy
Plates and cutlery had grime from last people
Beds had hair through it
Homeless people camping outside the cabin
Overpriced for experience and quality
Room smelt of cigarettes
Floors where not clean and badly needed a mopping
Exhaust fan was black
Heater didn't work as old batteries in remote
Charged for extra linen despite paying for a child to stay
Fossicking not as described online
No dishwashing detergent
Shower pressure was terrible
Customer service was rude
Grime and stains everywhere
Totally crap experience
- Michael (5/5): N/A - N/A Linen charge was not mentioned on booking site
- Quin (8/5): Very good -
- Toni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (8/5): Very good -
- Altiche (7/5): Good -
- Ben (7/5): Good -
- Marc (6/5): Pleasant - We booked a cabin. Despite different room pricing for 2ppl vs 4ppl, etc, the property proceeded to inform us at check-in that linen was still not included for the bunk beds and wanted to charge an extra $10 per bunk (1 night).
We appreciate that this is true for the base rate, but when booking via Booking.com, which allows for the number and ages of children in the booking to be specified, this can and SHOULD be included, and if not, why is the rate for 2ppl vs 4ppl higher?
Please update your booking rates to include the total cost, including linen, for all persons specified on the booking. The rate advertised for 4 persons was effectively $20 less than the true rate.
- Martin (4/5): Disappointing -
- Eva (7/5): Good - The space Mattress on double bed was very uncomfortable
- Jaygen (8/5): Very good -
- Reg (9/5): Superb - This is our third visit to this park and feel very comfortable each time. Some places you don’t know what to expect but at Fossikers we enjoy our visits.
- Cassidy (7/5): Good -
- Shelley (8/5): Very good - The cabin was clean and we'll insulated from the environment and noise .
- Rosina (8/5): Very good -
- Danielle (3/5): Unlikely to be back - Easy check in, it was a roomy space for accommodating a large family size. The beds/mattresses were shocking. And I sampled more than 1 given the main bed was no good I moved to a single which was much worse. The main surfaces were pretty clean but things like bedside tables were grot. Didn’t like that they charged extra per person for the kids on booking but then also charged extra for them for linen, think one additional charge should be enough when booking a family room.
- Jane (1/5): I have subsequently discovered Booking.com have been making a habit of misrepresenting bookings! - the booking I made was for a cabin so when I received a phone call from the lovely lady representing Fossickers asking me the size of my van we were both surprised by the apparent misrepresentation of Booking.com. Unfortunately I am unable to find a mechanism to have my money refunded and subsequently had to cancelled the planned activity as there was no longer any alternative available accommodation in Glen Innes due to the popular activity that particular weekend.
- Robert (6/5): No WiFi - Old park adjacent to CBD so quite a good place to stay. Only bugbear no WiFi.
- Keith (1/5): Bad - WE DID NOT STAY at this location. When I phoned them the day before they said there were no rooms available. So I booked another motel in Armidale.
Then after we had arrived in Armidale I received an email telling me there was a room available.
That was too late. I have paid but not received any compensation for mis information.
- Rumesh (5/5): Passable -
- Katrina (8/5): Very good -
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Terri (9/5): Superb -
- Kelly (9/5): Superb - Nicole's customer service was awesome, she was friendly and courtesy.

- Abigail (5/5): Passable -
- Janice (5/5): Passable -
- Wright (5/5): Passable -
- Meuleman (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was lovely, and very welcoming Location
- Fay (4/5): Disappointing - Seemed good when I checked in. Went to cook and know was broken on stove. Outside chair was rotted and I was accused of breaking it when we never sat outside cause it rained
- Teleaha (5/5): Wouldn’t return - The location It was untidy, not properly cleaned, sleeping on the floor would have been more comfortable than the bed
- Donna (8/5): Good location, beds could do with an upgrade. - Location, cleanliness Bed in cabin wasn’t the most comfortable
- Emily (5/5): Passable - Comfortable bed, quiet, nice staff No hand towels or face washes, no linen or towels for kids despite being charged for the kids in the booking, it comes as an additional cost on top of that to have a towel & linen supplied.
- Jo (4/5): Disappointing -
- Guang (7/5): Good - I ASK FOR TAX INVOICE. BUT I HAVEN'T GOT ONE TILL NOW.
I DO NEED A REASON FOR IT.
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (3/5): never again - in town terrible room no door on bedroom
- Braddick (10/5): I love every moment of it with my girlfriend - I really love all of it . my girlfriend and I will be back very soon. it's my new favourite stay specially with my girlfriend I cryed when I got home so did my girlfriend as it was the greatest memorys I ever had. the staff was very polite . it was so peaceful cant wait the only thing was the fridge I didn't like it took ages to cool things down but wasn't cold enough . the bed made my girlfriend back saw but thats about it but that's all good I think it was the mattress but theirs no harm at all everything is just perfect for us to stay again. I really love glen innes but coles is very bad their but other then that we will be back very soon
- James (7/5): Great value for money accommodation for 1 night whilst travelling through the area. - Easy to find place right on the main road. Key safe for after hours access. Staff where helpful. Room was tidy & clean. Beds comfortable. The wifi didn't work and the AC didn't cool the 2nd bedroom. A fan would have helped to push air into the 2nd bedroom.
- Prasad (5/5): Passable -
