- Susan (8/5): - A convenient place to stay. Easy access. Close to the train line. Lovely birds around.
Excellent recycling system
- Tom (8/5): - Good property a bit noisy at night from trains and wildlife but otherwise very pleasant with great surroundings
- william (10/5): -
The Lady at the park answered my call quickly and came over to check me in soon after I rang.
The cabin was very clean and comfortable, warming up quickly .
I would certainly recomend this park to everyone in the future..
- Jennifer (8/5): - Nice but a bit overpriced
- Susan (10/5): - Excellent, spotless cabin, warm, comfortable. Meredith made us welcome and was helpful with everything.
- Shane (10/5): - Tranquility trees and very peaceful and quiet
- Andrew (10/5): - Great place, clean comfortable and lovely owners who go above and beyond to look after you.
- Michael (8/5): - Compact design of the family studio, although the location is away from the town centre
- Glenda (8/5): Two bedroom cabin - The cabin was presented extremely well and whilst the upgrade was welcomed with delight, it came with a couple of challenges for my elderly mother. The step to the porch was a little steep for her to negotiate with no hand rails. The bathroom would be much more comfortable with a heat lamp installed. Overall, on our short stay, we found the managers very friendly and the park to be highly recommendable to anyone visiting the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cosy, warm, a little out of town - We stay here whenever we visit the area. Family friendly. Helpful staff. Kids love exploring the area. Cabins are cosy, warm and comfortable.
- Natalie (10/5): Comfy and affordable - This is a lovely place to stay. Staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. Will definitely recommend to others and will stay again.
- Melissa (10/5): 5 stars - Very polite helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable will stay again
- Graham (10/5): - Great bed most comfortable I have slept on for a long time. Very clean unit.
- Brian (8/5): Very good value, excellent cabin - Very good value, excellent cabin, wonderfully comfortable bed and very well equipped - no hesitation in recommending this accommodation, thank you.
- anonymous (8/5): Great small place close to town centre - Love how they provided electric blankets, there is heater and small cooling aircon in the room. The walls didn't have much insulation though so if you turn off heating before going sleep in winter, you end up really cold in the mornings. The beds are soft with not strong support so neither of us slept well at night, woke up sore due to insufficient quality sleep esp after spending whole day hiking.
- Chris (8/5): Well maintained onsite cabins. - Well maintained cabins. Good heating and bedding for winter. Easy vehicle access.
- Ken (10/5): Cabin Stay. - The cabin was clean and comfy with good heating.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly and comfortable stay - I stayed in one of the cabins and was pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness and the amenities provided. Genuinely friendly check in too. Highly recommended.
- Mark (10/5): Very comfortable and affordable for the price. - Owner was nice and came to chat. Rooms were very nice with kitchen and clean. Amazingly very affordable too.
- ranu (10/5): great place at a great price - staff very friendly, good advice as to what to do around the mountains.....
- Interstate TRV (6/5): Feedback - Great staff cabins are getting a little dated. Located near rail line so expect some noise during the night at times.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Peaceful Area - It was a pleasure staying at the Lithgow Tourist & Van Park as the Hosts where most helpful and obliging and assisted me with dispatching my husband's luggage to St Vincent's Hospital on my belhalf as he was admitted unexpectantly whilst we where in Sydney and his luggage was personally hand delivered to him the following day which I was very grateful for.
I would highly recommend the Lithgow Tourist & Van Park for visiting as they are very accommodating going above and beyond to ensure you have an enjoyable peaceful stay.
- Gerald (10/5): Mountain weekend away - Overall a good place to stay. No highway noise. Warm and comfortable.
- Emma (10/5): Perfect little stay - Cabin was fantastic had all the amenities we needed for our overnight stay including fantastic heating which was great in the middle of winter!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Enjoyed our stay. - Firstly the man on reception was polite and friendly and had a good local knowledge of sights to see and the best way of getting there. We stayed in the two bedroom cabin that was good value for the price. The kitchen with a good size kitchen table that worked for us as we went out and got some takeaway to have for dinner. The cabin is cosy and the bathroom was nice. Id say you get about ten minutes of hot water in total so no long showers if their are a few of you.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The young gentleman in the office was really friendly, walked me to our cabin and explained a few things. He had the heater on, so that was lovely as it was freezing. Very comfy, would stay there again.
- Mick (8/5): Close to Town - Very friendly and helpful staff. Just a word of warning keep the heater and electric blanket on at night it was very cold at night. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Plenty of interesting things to see around area. Great for 4wd's.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice Cabin close to everything - This was a very nice place to stay. Meredith at reception was very accommodating about me coming later and upgraded me to a warmer 2 bedroom cabin and had the heater on for me when i arrived. The bed was comfortable and clean and I had an excellent sleep. I'd recommend this place to anyone wishing to explore Lithgow or beyond.
- Jarrod (10/5): Great family stay - Grant gave the kids a chance to feed the farm animals and ride the horses, the stay was comfortable and the staff were extremely accomodating.
- ken (10/5): convenient to everything - Excellent cabin for two adults with child all in the one large bed sitting room
- brendan (8/5): Great quiet location - Was a great place to stay only negative was there was no hot water upon arrival and less then 5min hot water every other day which was a disappointment
- Verified traveler (8/5): Close to Lithgow CBD - Pleasant place....only issue is the closeness of railway line....trains running all through the night, every hour or so...
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nice hotel minutes from Lithgow centre. - Lovely hotel. Like a home from home. Clean comfortable and friendly. TV and kitchen facilities in cabin. Nice bathroom. I was in one of the new cabins. Can't comment on the older cabins.
- Robie (8/5): - Good location, very friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- tess (10/5): - Great, simple, friendly. Comfortable.................................::..::...........
- Bryan (10/5): - Enjoyed the stay, very friendly staff. They have their own farm which is good for family with children
- Justine (8/5): Clean, convenient and well priced - Staff very friendly amd helpful. Stayed in cabin that was exactly as described on website. Basic accommodation that was suitably priced but very comfortable, clean, and served the purpose perfectly. Would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - PLEASANT SITUATION. fRIENDLY HWLPFULL OWNERS COMFORTABLE
- Verified traveler (10/5): Convenient and inexpensive - This was the best value, especially since it was self contained.
- Patrick (10/5): Lithgow In Sunshine - I recently stayed one night at this lovely, tidy van park on my way to explore and photograph Glen Alice and Glen Davis. I had decided to break a small road trip there, in Lithgow, and at the last minute in a moment of inspiration I found a good accommodation deal.
When I arrived in Lithgow, after a leisurely drive through the mountains, my mind was shocked, blown away, thrown into disbelief. I've been through Lithgow many times as a child and more even as a adult, and its always been raining but this was the first time I had ever seen Lithgow in sun! First time.
But back to the Lithgow Tourist and Van Park. I've stay at quite a number of Van Parks, most are pretty good, especially 'these' days, but this one, this one takes the cake! Simple as that! From the second I opened the door to the little van, which wasn't that little I hasten to add, I could not wipe the smile off my face. The staff had thought this place out. Even a bottle opener was in the draw , a sieve, a colander absolutely everything one could imagine! Small stove/hot plate saucepans, crockery cutlery everything, even a kitchen sink!
Clean good quality tools, everything worked. And the staff, well they were just lovely. I asked if I was the first person to stay in 'my' van, imagining all along it must have been brand new.
"Oh no, that van is coming up to three years old" I was informed. I shall certainly be back to visit again, so - may the sun shine long, and thanks again! .
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cozy clean studio style cabin - We arrived late and were greeted by friendly staff, upgraded to a delux room which already had the heating on. The place was clean, modern and provided tea, and most things you needed to cook!
Cons: the train track was a little close but we barely heard them during the night!
- Val (8/5): Comfortable cabins - Metedith made us very welcome and brought us an extra heater as it was very cold weather and we woke up to snow on the first morning. Train line is fairly close by but noise wasn't really a problem. A good place to stay if on a budget.
- Gregory (6/5): overnight stay - Reasonable however hot shower lasted two minutes
- Laura (10/5): - The room was in excellent condition and the staff were wonderful. We would stay there again and recommend to anyone.
- Chase (8/5): Stayed one night and went back for a second night. - Staff were great, we arrived late, they had the key in our room read for us and better still they had turned the heater on for us so it was nice and warn.
- jana (8/5): Lithgow tourist park - Clean & cheap accommodation for over night stay. Very friendly & helpful staff.
- Stephanie (10/5): Beautiful view, good location - Great distance from the city centre, great little cabin with everything you need for a little getaway.
- Wanwanach Fion (8/5): nice and clean - small but clean
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Owners were very friendly and welcoming, they took the kids to feed their animals it was great
- grey nomads (10/5): awesome staff - we did not arrive until 9pm in winter the temperature was close to 1 degree.. the staff were most accommodating.... leaving the door of the cabin unlocked the heater on and the electric blankets on in the beds. thank you so much
- DAVE (6/5): OK for O/night - The cabin we stayed in was very small and crowded - the 'lounge' left a great deal to be desired - lumpy and uncomfortable. The bed was good. There was a left over food container in the fridge from the previous tenant.
The reception could not have been better, very polite considerate and caring. However, value for money I think there could be some improvements. Better furniture and a couple more glasses - wine? Would definitely be an improvement.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful setting adjoining land with farm animals - Polite and friendly staff. Organised for kids to feed the animals next door. We even ended up with fresh eggs for breakfast the next morning. Quiet and peaceful location.
- mum (6/5): Great little park - Great clean and fantastic views.. Trains are a little noisey and run 24:7
