• Rebekah (9/5): Fabulously comfortable stay with views that invite you to relax and enjoy the moment. - Barb and Lloyd have created a wonderful stay on their property. The view was beautiful. The room and facilities were clean and comfortable and had what you needed to relax and enjoy being out of mobile signal reception. The bed was super and we slept so well. Great base for exploring Conondale National Park. Comfy sofas both inside and out for reading and lovely bath with candlelight. Nothing, it was excellent. Being unable to have internet access allowed for deep relaxation.

The spa bath was a lovely luxury and the bed was extremely comfortable. It's the perfect place to escape for a romantic couple of nights. Definitely recommend :-)

The views were stunning, the room was cosy and well appointed and we felt totally at home with Barb & Lloyd. Nothing we loved our stay and will be back! As others have said there is no phone reception but that didn't bother us.

• Robyn (10/5): Lovely getaway surrounded by nature and beautiful views - Wonderful view so peaceful such a stunning location. Beds were so comfy, spa was amazing. Such a great stay for our wedding anniversary. Only one suggestion. In the morning the sun beats in on the front verandah. It would be lovely to sit out there with coffee, but maybe an outdoor blind to pull down?

A must for anyone wanting to take a break from the world! - The peace, the quiet, the fresh air, and with no light pollution, if you love star gazing, you won't be disappointed on a clear night! The birdlife is wonderful, and the swimming hole was cool and refreshing! We had a lovely, relaxing time, and would recommend this place for anyone wanting to get away from it all. The only "bad" thing I can say is that the chairs out on the deck weren't very comfortable, which meant we didn't spend as much time out there as we would have liked. Everything else was just lovely though, so it wouldn't stop us going back!

• Joelene (9/5): Beautiful farm stay - Beautiful property with great views from the cabins, which are setup with everything you need and more for a relaxing few days away. The spa bath is amazing and it was so nice sitting out in the deck enjoy the view with the complementary bottle of wine. Tbh It was a blessing and a curse but there is no phone service at the property and whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the digital detox I did need it head into town to check, reply txt or make calls. So it’s just worth noting if this is something you need whilst away.

We wanted an idyllic place, quiet, remote, with stunning scenery, and that’s what we got. The spa bath is the clincher, together with a warm room. Made the most of the bbq for dinner and breakfast. Would love to visit again, as only an hour away! If it had been sun tan weather…… but that’s not your fault 😁

Loved the breakfast food (very generous amount) and complimentary bottle of wine. Very enjoyable stay. Very limited internet access, which is completely understandable given the remote location. So it is wise to plan ahead any day trips etc. before your stay and not rely on the luxury of modern technology to plan activities on a whim.

• Franco (10/5): Absolutely stunning! - Everything was spectacular. This is the perfect place for peace and quiet and the area is unbelievably beautiful. The best part is waking up to the sunrise and just sit outside and enjoy the view of the sun coming up over the mountain. Barb did an oustanding job providing us with a breakfast kit every morning, fresh croissants and a cheese platter on arrival. Everything was perfect.

Turn off your phone (no coverage in this valley) and enjoy a quiet break with a book, music or DVDs while sheep, cattle, and goats graze nearby. Surprisingly close to Brisbane. The scenic drive to get there has great scenery with some steep, rural roads. 10-minute drive to shops.

• MERVYN (8/5): Great Aussie Eco Getaway ! - Yabbaloumba Retreat was unexpectedly enjoyable......abit off the beaten track but very worthwhile. One is treated to spectacular Australian panoramic views and nature (bird watching) at it's best. WIFI and cellphone availability would have been good to have and also alternate days house cleaning. There is no restaurant at the retreat, so visitors will need to bring their own food, altho we were presented with a lovely Xmas hamper, with wine. The nearest town is Kenilworth, about 5 kms away, where there are restaurants & cafes. Otherwise, it was a great "chill" stay and we came away fully re-charged and rested !
• peta (10/5): Perfect get away with no technology - Relaxing trip away with no distractions from anyone. Beautiful little cheese plate and wine on arrival. Barb is a lovely lady. All you can hear is cows mooing and birds whistling. Will be back again.

No reception which allows you to switch off and get away properly. There was a cheese platter and bottle of wine on our arrival and breakfast every morning. Loved the spa also warmth of the gas heater of an evening. Lovely hot croissant delivered at 8am to go with breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

• Julie (10/5): Perfect country getaway - From the time we arrived, and were greeted at the gate, we felt welcome and special. Check in was simple and quick. Our private cottage was impeccably clean, spacious, beautifully decorated with soothing music on arrival. The fridge was laden with chilled wine and cheese platter, complimentary, and breakfast was already delivered as well. We had a picturesque outlook from our verandah, where we could look over the rolling hills and see a family of geese, cows and horses coming back from a day out. The bed was very comfortable and the spa was so relaxing. DVD's were available to borrow with no fuss. The lack of internet coverage meant we could really shut ourselves off from the busyness of our usual lives. We enjoyed a hike around the property to explore a little. As we are usually frequent visitors or the Kenilworth area, we didn't venture past a couple or trips into town, except for supplies. Overall, our stay was most enjoyable and very relaxing. We would definitely love to come visit again soon.

• kirsty (10/5): Perfection!!! - My husband and I stayed recently for 3 nights in one of their gorgeous luxury cabins. It was the most peaceful and relaxing places we have ever stayed. The property was so beautiful and we loved a little taste of 'farm life'. Cuddles with morgan the big ram were one of my highlights! The cabins themselves are highly luxurious, with amazing attention to detail on all the little things inside. I could sit in that spa and stare at the view for hours! The breakfast hamper supplied every morning was devine and had a delicious range of items we could cook up at our own leisure. Barb and Lloyd the owners were so accommodating and friendly I thought about asking them to adopt me so I could stay! I highly recommend this place if you'd like to get away from the hustle and bustle and properly unwind. Looking forward to returning as much as possible!

The owners are very friendly and welcoming and spent time chatting to us throughout our stay. The rooms are immaculate and the kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could possibly want for a short stay - the cheese and wine platter on arrival and the breakfast provisions - especially the 8am freshly warmed croissants were a lovely touch and really made our stay feel special. I would recommend this stay for all couples wanting a reaxing retreat away from it all, we will definately return.
