Whittington (9/5): I do enjoy staying at Mackay Resort Motel, the rooms are clean, well maintained and staff friendly. - The accommodation option I chose was perfect for what we needed and easy accessible. The breakfast was disappointing, I had the pancakes, the were really flat and dense also swimming in maple syrup. They were not pleasant to eat. However the service was lovely.

The location was very convenient. I used the washing machine and dryer once while there and the laundry was clean, tidy and accessible but $6 per load seemed excessive.

Kati (5/5): Good room bad parking - The motel it's self is good I liked the room. I asked a female staff member if the motel was fully booked out because when I've stayed there before I found it hard to get a car park she said no there will be plenty of room, when I arrived that evening I could not park in the car park at all, I rang the motel and got a male staff member and he said he can't do anything about it and I'd have to park out the front, this was very distressing leaving my car out the front of the motel not even close to my room, they need to paint lines in there car park to stop other cars taking up 2 spaces, very disappointing.
Belinda (4/5): Beyond disappointing- we left beyond tired and exhausted - Location Being kept awake until 3am in the morning by an entire drunken football team outside of our room yelling and laughing - Management never stopped them, we had to yell out and beg for them to be quiet Then being woken at 7am to the cleaners literally outside our window talking at the top of their lungs and yelling between rooms while bashing trolleys and items in carts We had important event on that day and arrived beyond tired after making the decision to arrive the night before to avoid this on the day When comment was made about the noise toward cleaners we were met with eye rolls and even louder behaviour Rubbish and heavy layer of dust under bed Sheets stained yellow at foot end of bed Office staff were told about this and were not apologetic or bothered by it at all

Natalie (10/5): Excellent value, very clean rooms - Very clean affordable rooms. We got a regular service which is rare these days. The only negative is that you need coins for the washing machine but not a big deal, just come prepared.

Cherie (9/5): Great overnight stay. - The motel was clean and perfect for an overnight stop before getting on the road again the next morning. They were able to accommodate parking with a trailer. The mattress had been recently replaced and so they were comfortable, although quite soft (we prefer a more firm mattress). The motel was clean but we didn't stay long enough to use the pool. The location is on the main road through town so great for passing through. I think over time the mattress (because it is so soft) will have a tendency to roll people toward the middle of the bed because you can feel a subtle pull toward the centre of the mattress when 2 people are in the bed.

Tanya (6/5): Affordable, but there is better! - Location, ease of check in. Well equipped for a motel room, spacious. Musty smell. Bed, you sink into the middle, not good for a couple. Stomping of guest above our heads. Grouting in bathroom is mouldy. We had a spa suite and I wouldn't have a spa in that tub, even if you paid me.

Abraham (10/5): A pleasant stay at a good quality, well kept motel. - Location was good for an event we were attending. Also close to an IGA, Pizza Hut, Servo and hotel for dining options. Bed and pillows great quality. All staff I encountered were helpful and friendly. Didn't have any problems during our stay.

Not enough cutlery for 3 ( 3 beds and 3 staying in room ) . Noisy, people in carpark drinking , swearing and burping loudly after 11pm . Beds were way too soft . Sink into them .

Zerner (5/5): It was ok! - The location was good. The bedding was very comfortable! The size of the room was good for us. The lock on the bathroom door was broken and the toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall. Also the reception staff gave us a menu for breakfast, but proceeded to charge us off another menu, even after being shown the menu she gave us. Her excuse was that menu is old and shouldn't be in use. Still charged me the full amount instead of charging me off the menu she gave me.

Demos (9/5): - Great location, clean, very comfortable beds, small full sized fridge which was excellent. Overall a great stay. Sliding door to bathroom was not functioning meaning bathroom usage was not private. Plug was missing from kitchen sink making it tricky to wash up.
