Guest Reviews
- Sharon (10/5): - Lovely cosy property in beautiful setting with a wonderful host. Host went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay - arrival drinks, snacks, icecreams and warm croissants for breakfast. Very peaceful, clean and comfortable
- Mary (10/5): - Louise is a wonderful host! After being let down by another host- she was able to accommodate us at the last minute! Our own Fairy Godmother! We were very looked after and we would definitely recommend staying here
- tracey (10/5): - Louise was extremely helpful and very welcoming. Supplied breakfast and a very warm cottage on arrival
- Irene (10/5): The perfect spot - We were lunching next door at Tedesca Osteria and knew we wouldn't want to drive anywhere after lunch. Stony Creek Cottages are literally next door to the restaurant - a 1 minute walk. Louise could not have been more helpful or accommodating, ringing in advance to ask about our breakfast requirements, coming round to turn on the heating and showing us around to cottage. The cottage is extremely comfortable with good heating, excellent amenities, and very quiet at night. It was absolute perfection.
- Holly (10/5): - Absolutely lovely. Donkeys were a bonus!
- Debra (10/5): - Nice and quiet, with a secluded sun porch and friendly owners and donkeys. Warm welcome with chocolates, ice creams, food and a gin & tonic waiting.
- Stephen (10/5): - The hosts were very welcoming and the place is very homely. Wish we were staying longer.
- Aldo (10/5): - Exceptional host took the time to ask and investigate about us and our likes and dislikes.
We were then spoilt with an amazing experience.
- Courtney (10/5): - lovely little cottage in a great location
- James (10/5): - Very friendly owners, provided great help and beautiful food, very willing to offer any assistance we needed.
- Owen (10/5): Fantastic! - Fantastic hospitality and passion for the area from the host, ice creams in the freezer, donkeys in the barn, hot croissants in the morning what’s not to love? Probably one of the best places I have stayed so far
- S. (6/5): - The property was pleasant to stay and the valley views were amazing. The downside was the bed and the mattress was very hard and very uncomfortable to sleep in. My partner had a back pain after sleeping on that bed.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great host private setting great fireplace.
Spa, breakfast all tops
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property was beautifully located, well maintained and the host had organised the gas fire to be on for arrival.
The fridge was filled with lovely breakfast goodies and there was even ice creams in the freezer.
As a bonus we had 2 cute donkeys to feed carrots to at the rear of the cottage.
My only suggestion would be a Laundry basket in the bathroom for used towels....everything else was perfect.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing spot with a great host! Very cosy and accommodating!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The owners of the property were more than accommodating and friendly. They greeted us on arrival and delivered warm fresh croissants to our door the next morning
- Verified traveler (10/5): Peaceful country stay - Quite, warm and welcoming. Fantastic provided breakfast that you cook yourself. Clean and well presented facilities. A lovely little getaway
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely views. Nice host. Cute donkeys. Would happily stay here again. Louise was lovely. Close to Petit Tracteur.
- Erin (10/5): beautiful apartment - Highly recommend! Great amenities, well kept apartment, comfy bed. We will be back for a stay here!
- Melissa (10/5): Amazing cottage! - The cottage was super cozy and Louise made sure everything was provided for us, even if we didn't know we needed It! All cookware provided and a fridge stocked with fresh local ingredients to cook breakfast made mornings wonderful. She went above and beyond to personally come chat upon our arrival and not only made an amazing restaurant reco for us, but took the liberty of making the reservation herself. Although I live in NYC I can assure you that next trip to Australia I will be spending a few more days at the Peninsula, and staying in this cottage. What a wonderful weekend!
- Cherrie (10/5): Beautiful location - A beautiful location, wonderful and accommodating staff!
- Fil (10/5): Great cottage in a fantastic location - We were welcomed with a roaring fireplace and a friendly tour of the cottage. The location was fantastic and handy to everything in Red Hill. Also the included breakfast was enough to feed us for our entire stay and even had special dietary requirements covered. Highly recommended.
- Steven (10/5): Highly recommended. - Lovely place, facilities and amenities. Close to several wineries and restaurants.
- Anthony (10/5): Tranquil getaway tjat tick's all the boxes! - My partner and I could not have been more happy with our stay. The owners were super friendly and even called the day before to ask what we wanted for breakfast. Highly recommended!
- Natalie (8/5): comfortable stay - We found the location quiet and relaxing and the room very comfortable. The cottage had a nice firm bed and, despite not being air conditioned, was very comfortable on a hot night due to being solid brick and having large fans to keep it cool. Louise was very friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was plentiful. Lovely break!
- Samantha (10/5): Picture perfect - We absolutely loved our stay at stoney creek cottages! The owners are amazing and super friendly, the location is just beautiful and so peaceful. It is the ideal location for a getaway! The scenery is to die for. Our room was perfect, we had everything we needed and more! Just a short drive to restaurants, beaches, and shops. Defiantly found a little treasure and we will be back for sure!
- Paul (10/5): Relaxing cottage retreat - Wonderful self contained cottages with everything at hand that you could possibly want for a relaxing stay. Louise was an excellent hostess and the breakfast supplies were delicious and generous in quantity. The fire place created a cosy ambience.
- Cam (10/5): A lovely B & B in the middle of Red Hill wine - The stay was very pleasant. Situated in the middle of the wine and food district. Proprietor Louise is very welcoming and a delight to deal with. Top marks. Wineries and food walking distance, and short drive to Red Hill itself.
- Brooke (10/5): Couple's weekend away - We loved the views from our room, also the resident pony & alpaca. Facilities great. Plenty of information about wineries, food, bewery, sightseeing etc. Our hosts (Louise) was super friendly, and was keen to make us fee at home, which we did!
- Judy (10/5): Cosy cottage close to everywhere - Even though we arrived late in the evening we were greeted by Louise whose enthusiasm & love for the area was infectious. A vibrant lady full of local knowledge. The cottages are at the rear of the property with a magnificent view across the valley. If you're lucky you'll be greeted by the friendly alpaca early in the morning as you enjoy the beautiful sunrise. The cottages are warm & cosy & well stocked with toiletries, including bathrobes & rugs & pillows. The fridge was well stocked with local produce for our yummy breakfast in the mornings. Just across the road in one direction was a great French restaurant, in the other direction was an olive grove & cafe & next door was a gallery also with a cafe. It is less than 5 minutes drive to the centre of Red Hill & within 20 minutes of the beautiful beaches of Flinders, Merrick & Somers. In between these areas there's an incredible amount of wineries, cafes, produce stores & galleries to visit. Do yourself a favour &'stay for at least 2 nights to give yourself plenty of time to explore.
