- Kiri (6/5): - I generally don’t complain but there were a few little things that added up to make the whole experience below average. 1) Dishes had bits of tissue stuck to them like they had been dried with a paper towel or tissue. 2) The rubbish bin had crumbs and bits of food in it from previous occupants. Also no spare bin liners supplied and no bin liners in the bathroom bins. 3) Mould on blinds in kids room. 4) Dirt marks on the textured ceiling in the kids room. 5) Bedding thrown into the bottom of a wardrobe. 6) Minimal supplies to the point of being stingy. E.g. no spare toilet rolls. Instead we found the ends of used rolls in the cupboards. The coffee had one teaspoon of coffee in the jar and three sachets of coffee. A couple of table spoons of oil. If you are going to supply anything do it properly or don’t do it at all. It just makes the place feel cheap. 7) Get rid of any kitchen equipment that the owners picked up free. E.g. takeaway bowls, wine glasses from some food and wine festival. Replace things that ware starting to rust. The kitchen scissors, the toilet brushes, the clothes rack. 8) Lastly the unit has not been upgraded since it was built both inside and out. Body corporate fees are no doubt expensive so why is the deck around the pool looking like it hasn’t been touched since the 90’s. The spa pool covers are tacky pieces of plastic. Would not stay again and would not recommend. Great location and the ease of check in and check out was great.

The outdoor spa (perfect temperature) was located outside our apartment and up external stairs; we still had our own sectioned-off space, just like the details. Indoor shower pressure was quite weak, but it was ok. Thank you!
- Stacey (8/5): - We had some issues with check in and getting through to the owner was very hard (wrong phone number on the emails), so don’t be like me and make sure you’re 100% sure what room you’re in before you get there… The room was nice and tidy. Beds were comfortable. Can’t fault it really. We tried the rooftop spa Friday night and we couldn’t get the temperature control to work, so it was pretty cold. Tried again 10:30 the next day and it still wasn’t working - the owner came over quickly and tried to sort it out but he ended up giving us the key to another one. That would’ve been great except this one was set to 15 degrees so it took all day to warm up, we couldn’t use it until the next day (when we were checking out). He let us check out late which was nice, so we did get to sit in the spa for a bit in the morning before we had to go. It was disappointing to not be able to use the spa on either night we were there given it’s the main reason we booked the place. Location is great. Probably wouldn’t stay here again

Balcony was a nice spot for a cold beer in the arvo.

- Nicholas (2/5): Beware. You may not get the room you paid for. - I've never wrote a bad review before but this was a terrible experience. Booked a 1 bedroom superior apartment with a rooftop spa in advance. On arrival, I was assigned a completely different room with no rooftop access. No communication about this from management. Note, the only reason I chose this hotel was for the private spa and rooftop BBQ area. They answered my phone call straight away when enquiring about key access (there's no reception) and again about parking (parking allocation was incorrect). Then failed to answer after entering the room to discover it wasn't the room I booked. Followed up with an email to give them a chance to rectify the issue. No response. Poor management not taking responsibility. When booking accomodation, I expect it to be what it says it is. Never had this problem until now. Disappointing stay.

- James (10/5): - Stayed here to participate in the Sunshine Coast Marathon. Booked a room that had a rooftop spa which was great following the race for aches and pains! Private rooftop area with great views. The room was spacious and quiet. Surrounding residences and streets were also quiet and safe. Very easy to walk into Alex Heads or Mooloolaba as well.

Property Manager Kevin was very easy to communicate with. The only unfortunate matter is the renovations being conducted next to Ocean Vista on Alex hence, early wake ups from jack hammers etc…..I feel very sad for all complexes around this area as it’s going to be quite some time before they’re completed.

With some pest control the place would have been rated excellent. The timing of our stay just happened to coincide an issue with construction happening at a site next door. The workers were waking us up around 6.30/6.45am each day making sleep-ins impossible. Minus these 2 things I'd stay again.

- Erica (6/5): - Primo location - super close to Mooloolaba beach and restaurants as well as Maroochydore. On the downside… the apartment is dated, tired and could do with a good clean (the dust!). There was mould on the ceiling of the second bedroom (because the dryer in the bathroom right next door vents into the apartment and there isn’t an extraction fan). There was a chest fridge in the dining area because the main fridge was faulty. The spa and terrace we paid extra for is EXTERNAL to the apartment - not attached or adjacent. This means we didn’t use it nearly as much as we thought we would. The spa has seen better days - it has rotted wood on the exterior and the controls are worn down… it simply doesn’t get that hot and doesn’t have a proper cover to retain heat. The BBQ takes an hour to heat up and doesn’t retain heat well so you need to take that into account (we used it once). The pool looked dirty - we finally saw it being cleaned towards the end of our stay and it was amazing the difference it made. The manager is pleasant but didn’t seem to take our concerns seriously. Beware - he closes early - actually catching him at his office or getting him to answer the phone is a fluke! He tried to make us feel that we were being petty or demanding - our concerns were not small (I’ve just listed the big ones here) and shouldn’t have been brushed off or negated. We decided not to let this ruin our holiday for the sake of our kids, but it definitely wasn’t what we promised them.

- Garry (10/5): Everything you need - Highly recommended - Lovely stay. Close walking distances to beautiful restaurants and amenities. Room was clean and tidy. Pool and BBQ area was very well maintained. Would be great for families. The unit itself was 2 bedroom 2 bathroom and one of the best equipt units we have been to. Plenty of washing up needs, pans, cups, cutlery, glasses etc etc, everything you could possibly need.

- Ashley (8/5): - The accomodation was clean and well maintained. The room was comfortable for our weekend away. There was no airconditioning in the bedroom, the bed although large enough was simply two king singles pushed together. Having said that the bedding was comfortable and clean. The electrical system was a little confusing. The bedroom light and fan although functional required the use of a remote control; a remote control that is not functional unless the mains power switch to the light and fan had been turned on at the wall. In the living room there are two air-conditioning remote controls. One of which is mounted to the wall and isnt connected to any air con unit that I could observe. The other remote wasnt mounted but operated the air con unit in the living space. Overall the accomodation was fairly priced and provided what we needed for the weekend. Luckily enough for us the weather didnt require the need for air conditioning in the main bedroom. If it was any hotter I doubt the air con unit in the living space could cool down the bedroom. We didnt make use of any of the external amenities; but one point to note is that the space for the toilet is exceptionally cramped. I doubt Ill stay at this property again; however it is suitable in a pinch when availability on the coast is limited.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - Nicely sized apartment but it was noisy- we could hear everyone coming in and out and above us too. Hot water was not great in the showers. Also our door lock broke and we could lock the front door of the apartment which was annoying but we did receive some credit from the owners.

- Joann (10/5): - I was very happy with the accommodation at Ocean Vista. The kitchen was very well equipped. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The unit was one block from the beach and 900m from the surf life saving club. The street was busy at times.
- Anthony and Shama (10/5): Great find right near the beach - This amazing resort was a real find. Just up the road from Mooloolaba the apartment was brilliant. Large living area inside with a fully furnished large balcony area. Great kitchen that was fully decked out with everything you need. Two spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms as well was clothes washing equipment. Free allocated off street parking space underneath. The best surprise at this resort is the rooftop bbq and spa allocated to each individual apartment. Great view from the roof with an area to enjoy a bbq and a relaxing spa. Overall a great place to stay that we would certainly return to without hesitation.

If your looking for a sea view from your room it’s not a place for you but still close enough to walk to the beach. Great stay kids absolutely loved it!!! Would stay again.

- Emily (10/5): Wonderful apartments a stone’s throw from Mooloola - Great apartment complex in an awesome location! Our 2 bedroom apartment was huge, almost to the point of getting lost in it!! Amenities were fantastic and service was kind and accommodating. The rooftop spas are awesome, our kids loved having a spa each night! I had assumed that the spas were part of the room however and would be on our balcony but they’re literally on the rooftop of the property, not just outside the apartment if that makes sense - my misunderstanding but it wasn’t an issue. The spas are very private and also have ample space for BBQs and outside eating. We’d definitely stay at this property again and would recommend it to anyone visiting the Sunshine Coast. It was also a fairly quick walk to the aquarium- great location. A+ property!
