Guest Reviews
- Sean (8/5): -
- Janita (8/5): -
- Adam (9/5): Stay for Australian Zoo - Pool
- Helen (1/5): Definitely never again - Nothing Everything… smelly, dirty, grimy, looked like something out of Bates Motel.
- Debra (6/5): It was a pleasent stay and good for the money I spent. - It was nice a quiet. The verandah out the back was nice touch. The power points didn’t work but are still visible. I don’t think some of them went to anything. Lights didn’t work and were just hanging in the wall.
The fan doesn’t reach the double bed. So it was very stuffy. It looked clean but wasn’t “cleaned” properly. We had no toilet paper and had to go looking for it. The property needs a good gardener to clean it all up.
- Sharon (8/5): Fantastic location. Nice and quiet too. - Great location for accessing all the wonderful things to see and do around Landsborough. We were there for a trail race in Ewen Maddock Dam but the whole area is really lovely. Definitely want to come back. The apartment is quite ‘old school’ but it is clean, tidy and spacious. and included a kitchen which was great for us.
- Kim (1/5): STAY AWAY - Nothing, walked in and walked back out. Don’t stay here, is unkept, not clean and rooms smelled. Should not be offered on booking.com
- Laine (9/5): - Price & convenience to location we were visiting & the really great welcome. I would have liked to park my car undercover but my vehicle is 2.3m high, it doesn’t fit in many places.
- Boguslawa (10/5): -
- Kevin (9/5): - Good sized room, nice beds, table and chairs on back porch was nice. Excellent location to Australia Zoo. No real place to sit and eat in room. Parking a bit cramped.
- Jasmine (8/5): -
- Mathew (6/5): -
- Maria (1/5): I would not stay there again. It was not clean enough. - The location to Australia Zoo was handy The property was run down and untidy. No lawns mowed with weeds everywhere and leaves in the pool with no filter running. The room was tidy but not very clean in the bathroom shower. The reception area was very dirty and untidy looking. The whole outside of the property was eye wateringly smelly. Like cat urine but we think it was fertiliser smell from the plant nursery next door. The outdoor balcony was also very dirty.
- Pedro (9/5): -
- Geoff (10/5): Really great sleep, clean and very friendly. - Very friendly host. Location great for the Australia zoo and Glasshouse mountains.
Rooms are slightly dated but are having renovations but this is reflected in the price. It has retro charm and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

- Matthew (9/5): Great location and price - Staff made this place great! WiFi dropped out often.
- Blaize (10/5): Very comfortable and central, close to shops and the pool is lovely. - Very comfortable and the owner was wonderful Nothing to say

- Lloyd (10/5): - N/A Through no fault of their own, the pool was not operational
- Nicole (8/5): - The value, the pool and the ability of the staff to accommodate us in a timely manner.
Fridge, microwave, toaster and kitchen supplies - including fresh milk (!) - were appreciated. I would have liked access to some pool or extra towels in the room
- roger (10/5): -
- Cyndi (5/5): First impressions matter... - Location - close to Australia Zoo which is why I booked it. Driving in, first impression was the untidy grounds, old looking buildings and unkept gardens then walking into the reception area, was untidy, old, messy, unattractive, not welcoming, needed a good clean. I wasn't impressed and thought our room would reflect the same, even the area outside the rooms needed a sweep, wash down; the doors could do with a paint job to tidy the place up. The photos when booking were a tad deceiving. Pool was exceptionally clean and running well so that was a plus. Beds were clean and comfy. Just a tired motel that needs some attention.

- mary (8/5): Fantastic and would definitely stay there again. - Great family facilities, bedrooms very spacious, excellent for families. Beds very comfortable .Kitchen well equiped ,nice clean swimming pool, very convenient to Australia zoo and reasonably priced, good value for money. Needs more attention to the gardens and surroundings.
- Mark (7/5): - While the motel is certainly dated with older furnishings and signs of previous water damage, the motel was comfortable and more than adequate for our one night stay after visiting Australia Zoo The exterior could be cleaned and grounds cleared of green waste to make it overall more appealing.
- Jason (10/5): I will stay there again. - Upon arrival the staff are always great. Nothing
- Carol (10/5): Amazing hidden gem on the Sunshine Coast! - Lovely retro Aussie motel, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, to feel like a home away from home. Lovely bed, great shower, real milk in a glass bottle, nice ambient lighting. Parking at door. Quiet. Big clean pool. Lovely welcome at reception too. Thank you, will happily return soon! I cant think of anything.
- Jessica (8/5): Cosy and clean. Needs a little budget to help it reach its potential. - The owner was welcoming and always so helpful, the beds were comfortable and the unit (10) was clean and cosy. Some of the decor was a bit quirky, but it gave the room a unique feel opposed to the run of the mill hotel vibe. The pool is large, well maintained and perfect after a hot at the zoo. The park was hugely tricky to get into, and the outside looks like it needs budget to elevate the destination. The swing set out the back is also a little on the old side.
- James (9/5): Very enjoyable. Lots of bird songs etc. - Quiet and very tropical Nothing
- Michelle (8/5): - The location and friendliness. The old world look of the place is hard to go past! Nothing. You got what you paid for.
- Garry (10/5): Friendly staff and easily accessible - Good location. Nice and quiet lovely bushland Didn’t have any complaints
- Julie (8/5): - Great loxation, Comfy beds, Quiet at night for sleep, Nice hot shower!
- Rogers (8/5): Overall it was ok but could do with some improvements - The location was good and the under cover parking Didn’t like the seating, it would be better with a small dining table and chairs and to many furry cushions.
The window had a blind but no net curtain so if you wanted daylight you had to put the blind up and everyone could see in and no screen doors.
- christine (9/5): - Small, friendly, basic, but clean and had e erything we needed
- Tania (10/5): - Lovely staff, great location.
Clean rooms and had everything you need in the rooms over all was a lovely stay. Will definitely be going back
- Deb (10/5): -
- Jason (8/5): Easy, convenient and nice quiet location, 2 comfortable nights sleep out of 2! - Handy location, nice and quiet, plenty of comfy bed space, generous sized rooms, responsive staff. Would recommend.

- Sue (10/5): now on our favourites list - Friendly and comfortable - not flashy but well equipped, clean and convenient.
- Roslyn (8/5): - Air cons were very loud
- Paul (9/5): It was much more comfortable than what we expected -
- Stacey (9/5): - Clean comfortable and very friendly Dated
- stephen (4/5): It was dirty/smelt and run down. - Very run down.
- Kirstie (8/5): Quaint hotel, great for a stopover whilst travelling through. - Loved how easy it was to access, perfect for a pit stop whilst on the road. I really appreciated reception staying open for us up until 8pm, they were very accommodating and friendly. Comfy bed and nice shower. Loved my cup of coffee looking out at the mango tree out the back in the morning, I even got to say hello to the chickens roaming around! It's not that I didn't like, just noting: It is a quaint old hotel, nothing wrong with that, the price reflects this. I do imagine it is a lot of work and expense to update an entire hotel. So good on them for giving it a go! Just know as a guest it isn't "flash", if you are open to that then I recommend as it will save you some $$ on your travels.
- Roxanne (10/5): -
- anthony (9/5): -
- Elise (7/5): - It had a nice pool Um nothing bad to say
- Greg (5/5): Good value & worth a visit if you are passing through Beerwah - The staff, the clean and very comfortable bed, the free McVities mini digestive biscuits.
The local bowls club served a great meal. A bit worn, and from another era.
- Robyn (9/5): BGM all right - Glasshouse Grind great coffee and food, simply a cooee away, pineapple patch Chinese restaurant across the road excellent service also, BGM staff friendly and informative
- Chris (8/5): - Relaxed and quiet environment, close to shops
- Michelle (5/5): -
- Adam (10/5): - Will definitely be back on the 31/3/26 for 8 to 10 nights.
- Ren24 (6/5): - So many mixed reviews, I guess it's determined by standards and what other accommodation you're comparing to.
Tidy and clean and the staff were very friendly.
Yes it's run down and needs a refurbishment but the cost is very good considering of other sunshine coast motels with private bathrooms. Cigarette smoke coming from next door which came into the room and even with the window closed couldn't do anything about the smell. Affected my asthma which was slightly disappointing in the evening.
- Mohammad (8/5): -
- anthony (8/5): -
- Russell (4/5): - Location
- Paul (9/5): - Well managed fair priced accommodation
- Maryanne (10/5): "Great Stay, Friendly Staff" - The rooms were lovely and clean. It was a pleasure to crawl into beautiful fresh sheets. The bed would have to be the best well made bed we have ever slept in. Commendation goes to the cleaning and housekeeping staff. Job well done. The motel is in a great location. Staff are very friendly.
- William (7/5): - Room was dark. Adequate for our stay overnight
- Stuart (10/5): -
- Matthew (2/5): Wouldn’t bother wasting money here. - Staff was friendly Looks nothing like the photos very dirty, old and ran down. Felt very uncomfortable with the kids room in the family suite having a door locked from the other side and not from the inside.
- Tomas (10/5): -
- Margaret (7/5): - It was a rest spot on a long journey and in comparison to other places it wasn’t good value for money Over priced for what it was
- cassandra (10/5): -
- Madeleine (7/5): -
- Erdenetsetseg (4/5): -
- Lyn (3/5): Was ok for a couple of nights, wouldnt want to stay any longer - Owners were excellent, very accomodating Needs ALOT of work to bring it up to a decent standard, very run down, only sink for cleaning dishes is the same sink you brush your teeth in, but had no plug.
- Stephanie (10/5): -
- Melanie Jane (10/5): - We are travelling slowly up the coast and this space was much better then I expected, we chose this location for the convenience to the Australia zoo. 7minutes to be precise. The owners were beyond charming, so sweet and helpful. The room itself was one of the cleanest if not the cleanest place we’ve stayed and this is our 5th place this trip. I was beyond impressed! The room was far more spacious than the images portray. The price for this location was very good, less than 30minutes to Mooloolaba for dinner and treats. 100% recommend. It was surprisingly modern in the rooms and plenty of storage. Thank you to the owners for your hospitality, kindness and for the very obvious care that goes into these rooms.
- Jason (9/5): -
- MDM (3/5): While it was a budget hotel it still needs to be clean and free of smells - Location was great. Rooms and in particular beds weren't clean, a lot of dust, smell of wet/damp pet and bathroom needed a scrub.
- Tamara (8/5): Great location, easy to find. Excellent staff & value for money for a night or 2 - Fabulous staff, great private courtyard, outstanding choice of teas and coffee etc with a coffee pod machine in the unit It’s incredibly outdated, with a weird smell
- robert (8/5): Nice motel in a beautiful area. -
- Sue (6/5): OK,for a short stay - Relaxed country atmosphere, small motel which is quiet.
Great undercover parking.
Nice outdoor veranda. Honestly,it really needs a little renovation and maintenance.
This could return to being a gorgeous little place.
The fluffy cushions and blankets are a health hazard.
The pool is closed and gardens are untidy.
- Anaïs (8/5): Très bien ! - Le personnel était adorable ! La chambre est très grande, avec tout le nécessaire pour une séjour. Le wifi n'était pas très bon.
