- kym (8/5): Good value for money. I'm not interested in paying for the frills. Spend the savings at the bar. - Didn't do breakfast but had a few beers that evening It is a historical building so having a bit of a speal or photos of who used the guest rooms over the years pinned up in the room would have been interesting.
Complimentary schooner, wine or coffee with your meal.
- Lorraine (8/5): - Comfortable room, shared facilities spotless
Great craic in the bar, good food. Location super, lovely walk around the town

- Briony (8/5): Great location, comfortable beds, perfect it it’s not a heat wave - Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds, great location Quite warm on hot days as there’s only a fan and no A/C
- Wood (8/5): great place to stay for a couple of days while exploring the area. dinner menu is a treat - dinner was amazing as always
- Teresa (8/5): -
- markus (7/5): originelles übernachten überm pub - war ein inn...originell und ein pub dabei... einfachst, jedoch sauber und lustig die gemeinschaftsräume
- Janelle (7/5): - Great last minute stay in a very convenient location! Wasn't prepared for the shared bathroom but all was very clean and doable! Price was good!
- Tom (7/5): - Inn has real character. Room was really comfortable, clean and stylish. Restaurant really good. Shared bathroom arrangement not to everyone's taste as it involves sharing with bar users but not as bad as it sounds - it was fine for us with enough privacy
- Thomas (6/5): nice choice. would not recommand if you need silence to sleep - Cosy place, very old building with lots of charm VERY noisy. I new it, it is all clear when you book, but I was not expecting being able to distinctly hear the bar customer conversations from my bed (bar is just below downstairs). The live band played until very late… I could not join the party (as suggested by staff) as I was going to drive all day the next day
- Hallam (10/5): -
- Elisabeth (9/5): - Sehr nett
- Jeff (7/5): - Location Food and beer prices where more expensive than els
- Giuliano (7/5): -
- hedwig (7/5): Would do it again. - Although it was not that quiet, the great live music enticed us to watch the life music performance and enjoyed it.
- Phillip (8/5): - The location is great, close to the beach, walking trails, and various shops. The parking out of the front is limited. There was quite a bit of noise from the outside bar area which didn't finish until about 10:30pm. I got woken up quite early, around 6:00 am, by various trucks, e.g. the bin collection truck, then a number of delivery trucks to a number of shops close by.
- Martin (5/5): - - noisy
- poor Wifi
- Elizabeth (7/5): - Good location and comfy bed. Rom very basic but as expected for the price. Shared toilets also used by pub guests during the evening.
- Peter (9/5): Like a throwback in time. - Simple but cozy room.
The pub in the First floor with good beer.
Central location.
- David (8/5): -
- brian (8/5): Quaint old hotel in a buzzing holiday spot - Great location in the centre of Robe. No airconditioning. Fans were not strong enough
- Meredith (8/5): -
- Ingo (6/5): -
- Marta (1/5): The lack of aircon in the rooms above the pub make the whole night hellish. The hallway was cooler than our room, which - The lack of aircon in rooms above the pub.

- George (1/5): Disappointed - Location was central, apparently food was supposed to be good but we couldn't get a booking as they were to busy. No air-conditioning room temperature was at least 25 Celsius at night,, My child bitten by bed bugs, uncomfortable beds, , The corridor leading to the bedrooms smelt of urine. Rooms full of dust,
- Kevin (5/5): - Super emplacement. Le restaurant au RDC compense un peu notre déception concernant la qualité de l’hébergement. Nous avons bien mangé Ancien bâtisse en manque d'entretien
- Sharon (10/5): - Beautiful room! Everything was very clean.
The Inn was next to the beach.
- Yvonne (6/5): Be very aware of people’s comments before you stay so you are fully informed of the safety aspect. - Cheap for a quick overnighter The accommodation bathroom was used by the bar clients right up to closing time. Lots of drunk people in the bathroom so not safe to shower or use toilet until doors were locked. Also bar clients can easily access bedrooms as there is no door to lock to keep that separate. Didn’t feel 100% safe.
- wade (7/5): - Comfy bed Bit noisy as it's upstairs from the pub
- Emma (7/5): Good for a nights stay - Nice basic accommodation Not super clean and rooms smelt a little funny
- Carol (7/5): - Very reasonable for a short stay.
- alain (7/5): une nuit, bien dormi, bon souper - bien, tranquille, un lundi. alors pas de musique ils font de leur mieux avec ce qu ils ont
- Debbie (7/5): A pleasant if a little basic stay in a historic property right in the centre of town and near the beach. - A historic property in a good location. Everything was clean. Comfy if squeaky bed. Good shower. Nice that milk was provided in the common room. Pub downstairs looked good although it was heaving the day we were there due to a local Christmas pageant. The bathrooms were adequate but pretty old school- eg a line of toilets with 3/4 doors.
There were no bedside tables or lights- but plenty of room for them. These are so cheap to provide and make such a difference to comfort levels. The bed was very squeaky.
- Hannah (9/5): Lovely cozy rooms and a georgeaus pub. - Lovely room. Cozy bed. You can hear your neighbours. Vice versa.
- Scott (9/5): - A classic Aussie country pub, with upstairs rooms and bathrooms down the corridor. Great place to stay
- Beth (9/5): -
- Tracy (7/5): Comfy overnight stay - Friendly staff and comfortable beds Was a bit pricey for a shared bathroom which were a bit dated
- CAROLYN (9/5): Ideal location - Great location and great value bar!
Friendly staff and comfy bed. Lack of storage for clothes in room. Cleaner put on music at 7.15am which woke us up!
Shared bathroom fine but noise carries and you can hear everyone having showers etc!
- Harrison (8/5): Great - Great value and location. Quiet. Nothing
- Cherri (7/5): - Toilets not very clean. Loud music till nearly midnight below in pub.
- Vickkie (8/5): -
- Chris (9/5): Historic Hotel with super comfy beds, good meals menu and clean bathrooms with hot water. - We arrived right on closing time after a very long day of travel, and the staff were super friendly. And I still managed to squeeze in a drop of the local brew. It's a really old pub, but the rooms had been upgraded and the beds were super comfortable. We stayed in two rooms, a double and a single, and both good. The double was a little tight because of the size of the bed. The men's and women's bathrooms were super clean with lots of hot water. And the gent who booked us in, directed us to a fantastic coffee shop right next door for our morning brew and brekkie.
We regretted not getting to the Caledonian a little earlier, they had a pretty good meals menu, and it looked like a really nice pub ambience. All good. It's an old building so expect the floors to creak, and doors to rooms to be small.... it's a historic building and precisely the reason we picked it.
Two slight issues. If you use the rear escape stairs to go to your car after pub is shut-down, there is no light. Maybe a movement detector with small floodlight would be good. And we'd made a small midnight snack and wanted to wash our plates and there wasn't a small basin in the guest lounge. Now, I'm being really picky...

- Sharon (10/5): A warm and welcoming traditional inn with heaps of atmosphere - Lovely location in the heart of Robe. The original inn, it is quirky and quaint but also clean and well serviced! The room was warm clean and comfortable and the shared bathrooms were pristine. Everyone on staff was friendly, approachable and helpful. We were very happy and had no complaints about the accomodation.
- Rupert (7/5): - Not raining The English beta soy boy in the bar
- pierre louis (8/5): -
- Mandy (10/5): Thank you - always love our stays especially as staff do an excellent job and make us feel so welcome! - Perfect for what we needed! N/A
- Paul (9/5): Good meals for dinner served at the residence which was a bonus and very quiet. - No breakfast available
- Ruth (5/5): It was comfortable and affordable, but unfortunately I wouldn't stay there again (refer above) - The staff were very helpful especially carrying my luggage up the steep stairs.
Bed was very comfortable
Cleanliness upstairs and in bathrooms was very good.
My 3 night deal was affordable, Steep stairs.
No bathrooms in actual room (that was probably my fault .... I didn't look at the site properly)
Loud music from a wedding directly across from Caledonian until 3am.
- Omkaew (Fai) (9/5): -
- ZHAO (7/5): - Robe
- Paul (5/5): -
- Richard (8/5): All smiles - Quirky building. Comfy bed. Great location Big aircon fan outside window was very loud, but didn't run all night. No air con for warm days but we didnt need one.
- Nick (10/5): -
- Valeria (10/5): - Gorgeous pub stay. Loved the old cast iron beds. They were super comfy. Best log fire in the pub section.
Great location. Super friendly staff and the building and rooms were full of character.
Shared bathrooms were very clean. We would have liked to stay another night but unfortunately no vacancies.
Put this on the list of places to stay again.
Lola and Luke ❤️ Nothing

- Lisa (10/5): -
- Brown (10/5): Perfect - Friendly stay and great food.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Beautiful clean & comfortable single room. Shared bathroom was spotless and close. Staff were welcoming, friendly & helpful. Country hospitality at its finest!
- Karl (8/5): -
- charles (7/5): As above. - Location is ideal. Accommodation was satisfactory for the money paid. Food at the Cally is always very good
- Elissa (9/5): Excellent value for a charming stay - What a gorgeous set up! I was delighted by the thoughtful touches in the rooms above this beautiful pub. Comfy bed and delicious food. The wait staff were great, but the bar staff appeared bored and keen to knock off, even though it wasn’t that late 😂
No instructions given about the wifi, how to exit the hotel etc.
- Casey (8/5): -
- Richard (8/5): Very good -
- Huw (8/5): Very good -
- James (5/5): Basic accommodation for a good price - It’s location and it’s pricing
The staff are friendly and welcoming From what I remember of past years the hotel is getting tired and needs a good paint and an upgrade inside.
The room we had needs a good paint and repairs need to be made to the fly screen on the windows and the window itself
I realise our day was Friday to Sunday in the off-season but it would appear that very little Cleaning takes place certainly over weekends with rubbish bins not being emptied plates cups and sauces still sitting in the lounge after three days
The staff are welcoming, although I suspect they are constantly under the pump in the evenings with the locals
- David (9/5): Quick overnight stay, friendly staff, great dinner and a comfy bed. Had a beach walk in the morning. - Good to have the lounge next door to our room.
Had breakfast there. A group that were leaving late in the evening had placed a wine glass under the front wheel oy my car parked outside.
I noticed it in the mornig. No fault of the staff who would not have known what had happened.

- Michael (7/5): Good - Comfortable. Good value for money. Bathroom left dirty by other guests.
- Gavin (7/5): Good -
- Karen (7/5): Excellent location & Friendly Staff - Location & friendly staff The showers did not work at all!
- Anthony (8/5): Very good - Great value for money pub location in the middle of town - great for a one night stay
- Tiffany (10/5): Excellent!! Have booked for next year - The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Best location and great food when I ate there! Really can’t think of anything! I think the only thing that would’ve been good was bottled rather than tap water in the water bottle dispenser thing in the common room. It tasted like the tap water!
- Bradley (10/5): I’ve been coming for 30 years- one of my favourite places to go to and stay at. All staff continue to value your time sp - It’s an iconic Hotel (Inn), classy, atmosphere, staffed and is inclusive of all visitors- literally everyone is welcomed.
