James (8/5): Great place to stay - top value for money, but disappointed there was no food available - Compact room , all facilities OK except no microwave, comfy bed, good shower (although bathroom a little cramped). Great exercise area for dogs (we travel with dogs but they stay in the car and never enter motel rooms). Plenty of parking space Was disappointed there was no food at the tavern- even the bar food was not available as equipment was broken. Luckily there are Oporto , Subway and a 7 Eleven store next door.

Alana (3/5): Close to the hospital but not worth if for the uncleanliness and smell - It was close to Lake Macquarie hospital and some food places It was so dirty and the smell is suffocating. I had to go and get cleaning products from Cole's to clean and try and mask the smell. The shower was brown so I scrubbed it and got alot off. Sprayed some smelly stuff and left the door open until going to bed but once that door was closed the smell came out. It's clearly had some sort of water damage. There's an ironing board but no iron so thank goodness I always keep one on the car. And no I didn't notify staff as they must think they are clean enough so though it was best to just do it myself.

Good value for money and the evening we stayed had the whole Taven to ourselves. Lighting between the Taven and Rooms very dull.
