Guest Reviews
- Warrick (10/5): Easily get away and be completely comfortable - Beautiful, cosy, isolated, well stocked. For what you wanted, a quiet getaway cottage, it was perfect.
- Blake (10/5): Great stay. Hosts were very helpful - Location and cottage set up
- Ryan (10/5): -
- Peter (8/5): Incredible place to stay but missing a few important expectations - The property itself was spectacular. Great location, just off the Main Street and attractions, the spa outside was incredible and the decor was beautiful. Absolutely loved the place and the fact they supplied some eggs and bread was great. A few things unfortunately. First off, the shower had numerous empty soap / body wash containers from the previous guests, which made us question if the shower was cleaned before our arrival. That was disappointing for the price we paid and is the bare minimum expectation.
Gas was switched off as well which meant we didn’t have hot water to start. We eventually discovered the gas switch outside but was annoying to start.
They also didn’t provide anything to help start the fireplace like fire starters or newspaper, which would have been a nice addition.
- Angela (10/5): - Everything, could not fault anything. N/A
- Andrew (7/5): - Hot tub, amazing location, wildlife Kitchen sink didn’t drain, twice plunged it to get working. Couldn’t get hot water in kitchen
- jadconcae cleaning (10/5): -
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- Stephanie (10/5): -
- Elizabeth (7/5): - The location is amazing Fire place not working
- Ellie (1/5): Give this one a miss - There was absolutely nothing we liked about the cottage. The place hadn't been cleaned in a year. There was cobwebs hanging from everywhere. It had not been vacuumed. There was a fire place but did not have any kindle in the box or anything to start the fire. The matches were that old that they broke as you tried to strike it.
The water in the kitchen sink sat there without going down the drain.
The kicker was the spa...when the lid was lifted off, the foul odour that came from it was eye watering. The water was cloudy and there was dirt at the bottom of the spa and on the seating, with floating bits. We left half an hour after we turned up.
It was our honeymoon accommodation so you can imagine the disappointment for us.
- Lyle (10/5): Lovely little cottage, cosy and warm and close to town for all your needs while. - spa and privacy around the cottage was good. location to town also close.
- Bianca (7/5): Quiet and good location - Quiet, good location, had just about everything you need It’s pretty run down and needs a good dust
- Vincent (9/5): -
- Jessica (10/5): - Cozy atmosphere, clean and relaxing Good little kitchen space.
- Patrice (9/5): A lovely relaxing romantic getaway. - Loved the privacy. LOVED the dressing gowns (they were so soft). Nice hot tub. Roses need trimming back in the driveway
- theaaa333 (7/5): - The inside of the cottage was very cute and cosy, lots of facilities. The location was advertised as being a walk away from the river. It does not tell you that if you want to walk from the river back up to the cottage it is a steep uphill climb and I was there with my elderly grandmother who could not do this. Car parking spots were also not very clear
- Jason (9/5): Excellent little place, quiet and well stocked up on food and supplies - Well stocked Fridge with lots of supplies, full range of tea bags and a bonus bottle of wine and chocolates - happy days.
Nice quiet location, with lovely running little stream. Hot tub fantastic lots of dust under the bed, really need to vacuum under there as it does not create a good impression about being clean

- Sonia (1/5): - Dear Management Team,
I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at Forget Me Not Cottages, Warburton, on Saturday.
I specifically booked for a cottage that included a private spa, as this was an important part of our stay. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the spa water was not clean and had a very strong, unpleasant smell. Due to hygiene concerns and fear of possible skin reactions or allergies, we were unable to use the spa at all. This was extremely disappointing, especially considering we paid specifically for this facility.
Additionally, there were several service-related issues during our stay:
• There was no staff available on-site
• No Wi-Fi was provided
• There was no clear signage for reception, and we could not locate it
• The only contact number provided was an emergency number, which we did not feel comfortable calling for a non-emergency issue
As a result, we had no way to report the spa issue during our stay or seek assistance at the time.
While the location itself was pleasant, the condition of the spa and the lack of support significantly affected our experience. This was not what we expected from a property of this standard, and it left us quite dissatisfied.
I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and consider a refund or appropriate compensation for the unused private spa. A goodwill gesture would also help restore our confidence in your accommodation, and we would consider returning in the future.
I look forward to your response and hope this matter can be resolved amicably.
Kind regards,
Sonia

- Philippa (10/5): Very peaceful, quiet - lovely private hot tub under the stars - I would definitely return - Breakfast was excellent - particularly impressed with the marshmallows for the hot chocolate. The bottles of wine and sweet snacks were a great bonus.
Absolutely loved the outdoors hot tub! Nothing . Secluded and private so no views from inside but the hot tub under the stars and the scenery as soon as you walk outside is fabulous.
- Omar (8/5): -
- Matt (9/5): Relaxing and enjoyable experience - Secluded Nothing
- Matthew (5/5): -
- eliza (10/5): -
- craig (5/5): Peaceful, but owner needs to return property to acceptable condition - Cleanliness
One small pan and frypan does not a kitchen make
Damp linen
Cloying fragrance banished to the outdoors after inducing breathing trouble
Unkempt gardens
General run-down condition of premises (visitor book full of ‘remove cobwebs’ and ‘repair the fire’, but the fire’s still broken and the cobwebs still hang)
- Jennifer (9/5): - Location and it was clean It’s a little tired and the gardens need maintenance
- Nisha (10/5): Literally forget me not cottage! - We stayed in a cozy, comfortable cottage set amidst beautiful property, embracing nature's raw beauty. The cottage was well-maintained and equipped with all the necessary amenities, featuring exclusive Egyptian decor. The owners went above and beyond to ensure that everything was thoughtfully organized for guests to use respectfully. I appreciated this attention to detail.
The cottage was clean and tidy, and just outside, there was a small stream designed as a waterfall, allowing us to enjoy its soothing sound. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated.
The property also boasts a lovely natural pond. It's conveniently located near the town market, yet far enough away to provide a peaceful getaway.
One notable aspect was the absence of Wi-Fi, which helped my partner reconnect with nature instead of being glued to screens. We enjoyed playing the games provided by the owners, enhancing our experience. The fly screen door is notably wobbly and requires fixing to ensure proper functionality and security.
- Ivona (5/5): Would not come back - Comfortable bed , nice bathroom and breakfast provided . Dark tiny little cottage attached to the main house, unkept water garden, lots of cobwebs inside. No wifi and only two channels on tv that worked.
- Tanya (10/5): A wonderful little getaway, just what we needed 😊 -
- Katherine (10/5): Perfect - We absolutely loved this cottage. Perfect location, quiet & peaceful.
Cottage with all its quirky fittings, fixtures and those little extras. Will definitely return.
- Brad (8/5): -
- Thuy (10/5): It was great - The spa is great, the wine bottle is a nice bonus. If there is a sofa instead of two armchairs that would be better
- Debbie (7/5): Magical hideway - There's a lot to love about this property. It's set in a magical location surrounded by nature. Its a little wild and unkempt outside but adds to the charm. Our room had a natural spring including waterfall outside. There is chocolates and wine and port and plenty for breakfast provided. A spa bath, comfy bed. The views from the room looked on deer in the nearby paddock and huge gum trees and and native birds and ducklings with their parents nestling amongst the bracken. I've been coming here for years and love it here but t's become a bit too neglected. Things are starting to fall apart, or need updating, replacing or fixing as they're not working. Windows need cleaning on the outside, garden tidied, shower curtains and some cushions replaced, the fireplace actually working, instructions. available to use DVD player etc. When charged top dollar, I expect the place to reflect what I'm paying.
- Steve (10/5): Simply beautiful - Its a beautiful getaway dreamlike cottage, a very relaxing get away.
It was spotless and pleasant surroundings The exact cottage can be a little hard to find first of all but it has off street parking
- Anna-Maria (9/5): - Loved the comfy bed, huge outdoor hot tub, yummy brekky items, wood heater with generous quantity of firewood and very cosy romantic decor. Two burners on stove not working & coffee pods were the wrong ones for the coffee maker, so it didn't work properly. A few cobwebs & bit dusty.
- Ian (10/5): Just perfect - The cottage was just perfect, very cosy and well appointed! Nothing
- Liz (8/5): We enjoyed our time and found the area picturesque with great walks. - The breakfast provisions were very good, varied and more than adequate for our needs. The wine and chocolates were a bonus. The location was peaceful and attractive The bbq needed a good clean.
- Nicole (10/5): - Pictures don’t do this place justice , so relaxing and worth what you get. Very relaxing and enjoyable stay
- Judy (9/5): Lovely - We loved the little "music" cottage. We wished that we could spend more time there but we were in and out for a wedding.
We like the breaky options provided and the bottle of wine was a lovely any unexpected touch. We also walked out too a garden full of deer in the morning.
- kc (10/5): - Everything is nice. We really loved the service. Everything is nice
- Andrei (8/5): -
- Emma (9/5): Relaxing peaceful like heaven - Spa fireplace bed Decore location overall everything
Town nearby convenience Heater to be warmer more wood for fire.
- Neeraj (9/5): -
- Cara (3/5): Poor - The cabin looked beautiful We paid lots of money for the room hoping for a spa and wood fire. I was told the day before that the spa didn't work but we'd be offered snacks and breakfast as recompense. What was provided was not comparable to the extra you pay for a room with these amenities (4 chocolates from a Cadbury favourites box, eggs, ham and some sandwich bread). Had to buy kindling because none was left, as well as a lighter because the one provided was empty. Some dishes were also dirty and had to be cleaned before we could use them.
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic cozy cabin for a weekend getaway! Great facilities. Loved the spa. The robes were amazing!! The sink was a bit clogged so took a while to drain but we made do
- Stephan (10/5): - We loved the place.
- Leticia (7/5): Quaint little cottage! - It was nice and cosy and quiet. The bathroom was very unique and I like the quirky design of the cottage. It’s really dusty and needs a really good clean. The place seems a little run down, the privacy fence between us and the next cottage had fallen down. It’s also quite hard to find your room. Could do with some better signage and lighting.
- Jazee (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mirjana (7/5): Good - Location, interior, exterior There was no conditioner only one tube of shampoo but three of hand and body lotion, spa bath water not clean and full of leaves around it
- Knight (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous little cottage, very private, in a stunning location. Enjoyed our stay immensely
- Sharon (6/5): Was ok warbnurton is lovely but for the cost of this cottage it was a bit of a let down - Great location and quite secluded which was nice Cottage was pretty dated. The couch was so sagged and unusable it is so in need of replacing. The cottage is advertised with a fireplace yet no kindly is supplied and only 4 logs of firewood which is the poor to other places we have stayed. They offer coffee and tea yet there is no milk? They have apple juice and jam in the fridge but we thought there would of been a small prima sized milk
- Melanie (9/5): I just love these cottages….so peaceful! A great place to unwind and relax! - Quiet and picturesque location. Good supply of food for breakfast. Everything you need to cook. Lovely spa
- Jesse (10/5): Genuinely magical! Upset that I couldn’t stay longer!! - Absolutely stunning - the Green Room was magnificent to stay in! Just a difficult walk/bike ride to get to but would be very easy by car!
- Carolyn (4/5): Disappointing and not value for money - The hot tub was green and we had to fix the ph level. It smelt mouldy. There was no breakfast supplied as previously it had been. Not maintained like it used to be.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Great property, great spot, comfortable
- Kim (1/5): Worse stay ever - I didn't. It was a terrible stay It was too expensive, noisy could hear the neighbours talking, going up and down stairs, toilet flushing,
- Susan (10/5): - Very nice ambience, great range of snacks, complimentary bottle of wine, good breakfast options. Doona a bit too warm so light blanket as an alternative would be good. Fridge badly needed defrosting so iceblocks could be made and fire extinguisher (EOM not obvious) may need maintenance. Suggest installation of fire blanket.
- Katie (8/5): Relaxing night away - Exactly how it looked online, loved the location in the rainforest. Comfortable bed Outside light by the bbq wasn't working
- Jan (3/5): Very disappointing and certainly not worth 340 dollars. - The decor is very nice. Problem getting to the property. I had problem to find the proper cottage. Very bad signing! Did not receive instructions how to access the property. Took 4 phone calls to contact the owners. Problem with language and still took 20 minutes to find the key box. After opening the key box the numbers were rubbed off and illegible.
The cottage was not very clean. Lot of dust on the walls. The couch is dirty, and the kitchen utensils are old and were not clen. The crockery and cutlery were O.K.
Also it is very difficult to book the proper cottage as the description of each cottage is not clear and individual photos which will identify each cottage is absent. You find all the photos, of all the cottages mixt up.
Not worth 340 dollars per night.
- Anthony (6/5): Nice place but needs maintenance and updating on the property - Location Maintenance needs to be done and repairs on the property
- Todd (8/5): Very good - Great location very cosy Spa water needed to be warmer
- Ashlee (3/5): Not happy - The property was in a great location When we arrived the spa was filthy very smelly lucky we own a spa and new what chemicals to use to clean it but decided not to use it as it was just disgusting
Breakfast was ham and eggs and kids yougart not happy 😡there was no black tea we had to go to the supermarket and buy things for breakfast as it was included in price and at $400 + a night you would except a lot more it’s a shame as we were really looking forward to our night away
- Leesa (8/5): Very good -
- Ana (9/5): Superb - Beautiful place, everything is so close shops & Cafe/ Restaurants. Complimentary bfast a plus and A welcome wine and chocs ☺️☺️ Finding the key it was bit tricky. Overall its fantastic!
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andrew (8/5): Amazing and very relaxing. Really nice feel, stepping back in time a little. - Stayed in Music Room. Amazing rustic cottage with great views. You really felt at peace and away from the stresses of life. Spa was very private as was the whole place. Beautiful love nest for you and your partner. Things were a little run down. Waterfall and lighting near spa did not work. (or I couldn't work it out.) TV didn't work (probably a good thing) Could do with a couch. Bathroom, whilst quaint, could do with a reno. Shower curtains are not great and stepping into a bath to have a shower may be difficult for some people. Also stairs look amazing, but will be difficult for people with mobility issues.
- Robyn (9/5): Superb -
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional - The added sweet touches just made the experience so much more special.
We got engaged and it was just perfect. Bed was a touch soft for my liking but more just a personal preference. :)
- Debbie (9/5): Superb - Beautiful secluded cozy romantic setting. The sound of the water is comforting. The extras like sparkling wine, chocolates etc a lovely touch. The bed comfy. The accommodation clean. The breakfast generous. The surrounding garden a delight. The spa relaxing. My favourite place to stay For the place to be perfect: time to updating the peacock feathers. Maybe, a dust under the bed. Besides this nothing really. It's a delightful place to stay. Perhaps, the chocolates could be gluten free for the coeliac guests. It's a bit tormenting when husband can indulge, but I'm being picky now. Twas a delightful place to stay! Second time and hope to stay again!
- Taryn (10/5): Exceptional - Loved absolutely everything from the moment we pulled up The cottage itself was gorgeous, the tea coffee station was very generous and the breakfast the next day was perfect, eaten out on the deck listening to the native wildlife and trickling stream.
The Spa was the icing on the cake, pre warmed, clean and ready to go upon arrival. I can't wat to visit again❤️
- Nathan (8/5): Very good -
- Haley (5/5): Meh - This was our fourth stay with forget me not cottages, our last stay was in 2021 I believe maybe when ownership had just changed. Our previous three experiences were fantastic, we still enjoyed our time this time however the environment definitely needs some TLC. The rooms are cosy and have nice little touches like breakfast for the following morning. a fireplace, wine and a spa. The bed was comfortable and ample firewood was provided. Forget me not cottages still has a lot of great qualities it just needs a little more love, so much potential. Unfortunately, since our last stay it appears, there has been little to no maintenance, cheap floorboards have been laid that have not been laid professionally and bubble throughout, the garden was very poorly maintained, and the place was dirty with cobwebs and dust all over, the BBQ was filthy beyond use. Additionally, I found it quite unprofessional to find multiple notes scattered throughout the kitchen advising in a passive-aggressive manner to clean up after ourselves which deterred us from using the facilities. We hoped that this would be an annual stay for us however our most recent stay left a bad taste. When we advised the owners "We will look into it from our end" was the only response we received. Considering the cost of staying at this property and the current economy that was a very disappointing response.
- Erin (10/5): Beautiful cottage - We loved our stay. Such a beautiful cottage in a lovely setting, it was so relaxing. We loved all the extra special touches and having food provided for breakfast.
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vidya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chadani (7/5): Good -
- Benjamin (9/5): The prefect retreat - Stayed in the music room and loved the decor, indoor fireplace (with plenty of wood) and the view from the verandah. The hot tub was hot and had chemicals and test strip's so we could maintain the water quality. Exploring the gardens was a real treat as well as the comfy bed at the end of the evening. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at this stunning property.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Very beautiful💖 very good for couples and the bathroom view was amazing. definitely coming back
- Alyaa (10/5): Wonderful stay - Very clean , warm, excellent location.
Relaxing views .Lots of snacks.
We will be going again. Nothing
- Carly (9/5): Superb -
- Joanna (10/5): Peaceful, relaxing and romantic getaway - The cottage was beautiful, clean and the hosts very throughful with their breakfast and snacks. Everything was fantastic, but if I had to say something, the fire place was out of order, but that was just bad timing for us, these things happen.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional - Another amazing stay in warby at the cottages! Our favourite place to get away. So quiet and peaceful and romantic. The people are lovely and provided sooo much food for our 3 night stay. The fireplace and waterfall was amazing. Will be back for sure! Recommend go all
- Kelly (9/5): Cute and cosy cottage. - The place has a lot of character and is close enough to walk to the local shops (although the walk back up the hill is pretty tough).
They left enough food for breakfast, and to take out with us to keep us going the next day on our little trek.
The spa was hot, clean, and a lot of fun.
Parrots came to the garden in the morning to feed, which was a nice surprise.
The shower was lovely and hot, but I'm not a big fan of shower curtains, so that was slightly annoying as it sticks to you.
Lighting was great with plenty of switches and lamps to choose from.
The bed was super comfortable with lots of different pillows to choose from too. I found one that I preferred to my own at home, so that was a bonus. Had a great cosy sleep.
It's clean where you have to walk and work surfaces. There were some nooks that were a little dusty, but not anything to complain about. There was nothing to not like. Some things were a little strange, but they added to the character. A mystery drink on a small table with two glasses, and a curtain to separate the kitchen that didn't really fit the space. We found these things funny rather than annoying.
- Ashlee (9/5): Tranquil stay in the green room - This was such an amazing place to stay! We stayed in the green room. Beautiful cottage vibes, enjoyed the fire indoor, and the jacuzzi in the cold winter. Jacuzzi was clean and the jets worked perfectly.
We walked to the pub from the accomodation there is a steep hill but it’s manageable for most. Town is a 5-10minute walk or 3 minute drive.
The cottages are just off the side of Brett road super easy to get too.
It is a self contained cottage BUT we were provided with wine, chocolates, bacon, eggs, toast, beans, banana bread, coffee, milk, tea everything you need for a cosy stay! There is a kitchenette with all relevant appliances and a coffee machine.
Bed was soooo comfy. I read a lot of reviews, and some of the poor reviews about this cottage had me nervous, but I honestly CANNNOT recommend this place enough.
Also I communicated with Shelley in advance she got back to me straight away, communication to access the cottage was so clear.
We will be back!! NOTHING !! It was so good.
- Brian (6/5): Pleasant -
- Lydia (10/5): Such a beautiful - Everything! The bed was so comfy, the facilities were awesome perfect for a night or two away! The gardens are over grown,
Especially in the rain the only way into the property is super slippery! The hot tub also didn’t have jets or they weren’t working. It was just like a big hot bath.
- Melanie (10/5): I loved it so much that I have rebooked for our anniversary! - The water garden cottage we stayed in was so quiet, private with our own personal waterfall. The cottage itself was cosy and warm. The spa was spacious and luxurious. You have everything you need if you wish to eat in the cottage. When we first arrived we couldn’t find the front entrance, but u phoned Kelly and she explained where to find the key safe and entrance. It was cold when we arrived and the air conditioner was on cool not warm.
- Katrina (6/5): Our stay was comfortable and secluded but not worth the money spent. Everything supplied was adequate but not luxury. - It was very private and a good location. Breakfast supplies were ok and bottle of wine was very nice. Spa was ready and clean. Not what I would consider luxury. Bedding was thin, towels were very thin, chairs in lounge hard and not somewhere you can sit to relax, long life milk (not real milk), only 5 coffee pods for two nights, juice boxes for breakfast (not real juice). The axe for chopping wood was broken, no corkscrew, kitchen utensils fell apart. Sticky substance on the dinning table, bathroom mirror not cleaned properly and cockroaches.
- Avanish (2/5): Staff were horrendous. - Breakfast was yum Pool scum lining the edge of the spa, unclean dishes and cutlery. Tv remote was missing bottom part. Finally, accused by owners of multiple things such as BnE and theft with zero evidence whatsoever. Stayed here multiple times but this time was disgusting.
- Frew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Melissa (5/5): Ok but would not stay again or recommend to others. - The cleanliness and small outdoor area with waterfall. Quite separate from other guests. No staff really to communicate with. No wifi or tv and for the cost room was pretty small. Breakfast was bread, uncooked bacon, hashbrown and eggs in fridge which you had to cook yourself. Overpriced for what you got.
- Stephanie (5/5): We still had a good time, but I wouldn’t recommended it or go back - especially when you’re paying over $350 a night for - Beautiful spot, close to town and a gorgeous view. Has a lovely balcony the wraps around the property. When we were there it rained, and it was gorgeous hearing the rain on the roof and watching from the verandah. Lovely old school bath too. The hot tub was grimey and unable to be used unfortunately. If you’re going to advertise a hot tub, please keep it in good enough condition for it to be used by guests. Would have been lovely to be able to use this on a rainy afternoon.
Also, we wanted to make full use of the fire place, but all we were provided was a few big logs and a packet of matches. No paper, kindling or fire starters were provided, rendering it useless.
The property overall felt a bit grubby and It’s the little things that add up and contribute to your experience. Eg the first thing I went to do when we arrived was go to the toilet, and there was no toilet paper on the holder. Just things like that, that the cleaning staff shouldn’t miss.
- Ville (9/5): Superb -
- Karl (8/5): Great stay we were very happy. - It was very private, loved the vibe and the little courtyard with spa and bbq was delightful morning and evening. The Brekky foods were generous and sensational. I think there was some minor repairs that would enhance the quality of the facilities.
The booking system was frustrating with too many links and passwords. It felt clumsy and less client centric.
- Melanie (5/5): Passable -
- Thompson (8/5): Very good - Beautiful location. Private, quiet, comfortable. Stove top didn't work, mouldy shower curtain, quite dirty. Quite a dark room, bad lighting.
