- Kat (6/5): Quiet and near beach - Not quite what we expected but on reflection suited us as we have a daughter with a disability and she was able to be herself which is a little noisy and rambunctious. Easy going and no intrusion.

- Lawrence (2/5): No elevator - Upon arrival we could not contact reception. When someone finally came to to fort Knox type security gate we arranged and paid for parking (was not told about paid parking on booking ). Commented to reception how many stairs there was just to get into reception desk. Nothing more was said by reception so we park car under building and remove bags and proceeded to look for a lift but none. So decided to leave bags at car and once again proceed up 2 flights of stairs when we were confronted by yet more stairs. At this point my wife who has lower body Parkinson's was exhausted and simply couldn't tackle the last 2 flights of stairs. I proceeded to the unit to find air-conditioning busted and a cheep mobile unit in the middle of the lounge with a flexi hose out to the balcony so if you wanted AC you couldn't close the door. Contacted reception again took far to long to respond we were told that there were no ground floor units available and refunded our parking fee with the assurance that there would be no cost as the unit wasn't what was suitable for our needs. But sure enough 3 days later they took the full fee out of our credit card. This was booked through wot if we will never use either of these places again. Still fighting to get our money back. We fully understand the cancelation policy but if the room is not fit for requirements its a bit sad.
- kathy (6/5): Nice view, basic room - Stayed overnight, hotel is in a lovely spot on the hill with a nice view. Very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room though. Floor was very dusty and my feet were filthy after walking around for a few minutes. Microwave was dirty, as was freezer, kitchen sink, shower and drawers in the bathroom. No bedside tables/lamps either. Was ok for a night. A few little improvements could make this room much more comfortable.

The main thing that will prevent me from returning is the lack of privacy. The blinds are not fitted to the window space and the bed can actually be viewed by the guests in the next room as they enter the shared verandah.

- Jo (10/5): Easy and simple stay - Stayed for three nights and four of us shared the cabin. Was definitely worth the price and would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a nice but cheap place to stay at the beach. It's not flashy accommodation, so if you're after the marble floored bathroom this isn't for you. Kitchen does not have a stove, but there is a microwave and shops 20min walk (or 5min bus) away. Very comfortable beds and white towels are provided. For wifi you need to move around a bit on the property to figure out where it's best. Managed to have a somewhat coherent Skype conversation. For schoolies this is an alright place (that's why we were there), but don't host any parties on the property as the cabins are wall to wall and not sound proof. Also you will wake the sweet sleeping dog. Stella needs her rest.

No air conditioning, curtins did not cover windows so outside lights shone in & morning sun. Maybe a good place for surfers who dont care about much in accomodation etc. Would not recommend

- Devo (8/5): Nice villas close to beach and town center. - A few days over the New Year period , town was very busy but Villas are just out of the hussle & bussle of town , quite area , relaxing by the pool or short walk to nice little beach But not patrolled so need to know the surf !
- Nathan (6/5): Old style motel in quiet spot - Place was clean and tidy as well as being more spacious than expected. Has a pool but no other facilities and no aircon, but the fan in the room did a good job. Main problem was lack of security of the rooms. Rear door had no lock and the screen doors could only be snib locked not key locked. For some reason the room with two single beds in it (we booked a 2 room unit) had a deadlock on it though.

- Maree (2/5): Not very well presented for a Motel at Coolum. - We found the rooms very basic. No airconditioning, usually a motel provides shampoo and conditioner, tissues and hair dryer. None of these facilities were available. I took our own food but there was no stove to cook anything. There was no saucepans or frying pan and very basic cooking utensils.. There was a microwave oven but its not always what is necessary in a self contained Motel. Hardly any dish washing liquid was under the sink and when we went to the office to get more we were given three drops in a bottle. For a Motel in 2015 it was awful. No car parking in front of unit. Had to carry everything from carport to front door.

- Chris (10/5): Great quiet location with ocean views - I loved it here. It was a home away from home but with ocean views. It was clean, comfortable and relaxing. Close to shops and restaurants and a short drive to many of the coast's tourist attractions. Will definitely stay there again.

Our shower was either extremely hot or frozen cold no in between. The beds had sand all through the sheets and blankets. The balcony light cannot turn off and shines through the blinds all night. The fridge froze everything even when I turned it down and the room had no heating and our stay was in winter.

- Verified traveler (4/5): This is a run down poor quality facility. - Although relatively clean the facilities are poor and run down. The TV didn't work properly, lights slow to turn on, loose taps, running toilet, no plugs for hand basin, hot water took ages to come through and the unit had a musty smell having had little use. Although a non smoking room was requested other tenants smoked nearby outside and smell came through the unit. No undercover parking and kitchen had just the bare basics. All furniture was old and room was very basic and had no character.
- Allison (4/5): Convenient location - We stayed here for one night, booking on short notice over the Easter period. The pictures overstate the property. Whilst the bedding was clean, there was a dreadful stale cigarette smell in the kitchen cupboards and the bathroom/toilet stank of urine. For the price we paid we have stayed at many other places that are far better value for money and clean.
