- Karen (4/5): If you are given room #27 refuse it! - The owner and daughter were very nice at check in. I did mention we had driven from Townsville and so worn out and ready for a nice rest, and that is why I wonder why we were put in the only room right next to A1 highway, with double windows that face that road. The road noise made it impossible to sleep. We did manage to get in a couple of hours rest as the traffic dwindled in the very early morning hours. Honestly, that room should not be rented out...never stay in room #27. I feel that the rest of the motel would be very presentable, clean, comfortable bed, a little outdated, but the price reflects that. We had requested a room with a kitchenette but would have forgone that if we had realised we would have to deal with the road noise. I am sure I would have more than happy with our stay otherwise. I just hope #28 was already occupied and not just left empty. It would have definitely been quieter.

The pics show a tiled floor throughout but we stayed in an upstairs room and it was carpeted. Even though it was on the highway it was quiet, although the ancient air con made a rattle when the motor kicked in! Overall a good, basic motel for a one night stay over.

- stephen (10/5): Home away from home - Fantastic place to stay. A short walk will get you to a variety of take away places or you can have a meal at the Glenmore Tavern. Great meals at realistic prices. The motel is situated in a nice quite area and the room is nice and roomy. We have stayed here several times and will continue to do so.

I also stay here when I have residential school at CQ University. It's clean, tidy, roomy, has free wifi, air con, and its quiet. Hotel staff have always looked after me very well. Great customer service.

WiFi was O.K. but dropped out a few times. We were in one of the rear rooms. Staff were friendly, and the motel is an economical choice. Will definitely stay again.

Close to shops for dinner and the motel was located on the road to travel north. The room itself was suitable for our family, parking right out the front of the room and it was reasonably priced.

The bathroom had dated decor but was roomy. We could hear the guests in the room upstairs getting ready to leave at 3am in the morning.

Also we didn't mind coming back a little bit later. that's were it change, the room could been cleaned a little bit better, and we had ants in the bathroom, I know they are hard to control but it would have been nice to spray prior to our return.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Motel for Quick Stay - This was a convenient motel for our stay. It was quiet and close to shops and food outlets. It had a large fridge which was great for refreezing ice bricks for when you are travelling. All in all a good place to stay.

Full size fridge (I don't mean a huge family size one, but a shoulder height fridge with a proper freezer compartment that actually keeps frozen things frozen, unlike a lot of bar fridges). A few shops and takeaway joints less than 5 mins walk. All up: Excellent. Only criticisms, and they're very minor: - shower head was too low. I'm taller than average but hardly a giant. - there was no powerpoint near the desk/table making it slightly hard to plug in a computer. Fortunately my cord is 4 metres - I needed all of that.

Clean and tidy, allocated parking outside rooms, great location & great price. The shower in my particular room was awful, very low pressure and almost no volume which was the only downside.

The room was clean with a microwave, a full-size fridge, comfortable beds, extra brackets, etc. The bathroom was spacious with a generous amount of towels... many hotels/motels don't provide towels to young children and babies (We were traveling with 3 yr and 0 yr kids). Thank you very much for the comfortable stay!

- judy (10/5): Comfortable well priced motel. - Booking online was convenient and when we arrived the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room was well appointed and very clean. The location is right on a busy highway yet there was no problem with road noise. Close by was small shopping centre and tavern. What more could anyone want. We have found our motel for future regular stop overs.
