- David (9/5): - Excellent secluded location with native bush screening between the three cottages and panoramic views of the coast and sound of the waves all day. Master suite has an excellent bed which was very comfortable and sound of the waves on the beach was so relaxing we both had the best sleep we'd had in ages. Complementary small hamper and bottle of red a pleasant surprise. Cottage small but very comfortable and very homely, well laid out with verandah and deck looking over the coast and close bush teaming with colourful birds. We felt privileged to be able stay in such a nice location. Not a big issue but the TV in the family room was a bit difficult to find channels which were interstate satellite channels as no aerial and likely no TV signal. Even streaming from the phone was hit and miss via the provided WIFI.

- Jonathan (10/5): A fabulous place to stay if you want to experience the Great Ocean Road and the Otways. - An extraordinary location with fabulous views and complete privacy. Generous gift-bag from the hosts, and a wealth of information about the area. Good kitchen (though air fryer not oven) heating/cooling excellent with a wood-burning stove that worked (on Christmas Day when it was cold enough to need one!) Everything one could need supplied (almost!) The hosts provided generous basics like salt, pepper, tea, coffee, canola oil etc and two bottles of wine, but no olive oil, these days a bit of a necessity. Other than that nothing we could think of that needed improvement.

The hosts were friendly and helpful, making everything smooth from arrival to check-out. It’s the ideal spot for a quiet weekend getaway, close to nature and only a short drive to Apollo Bay. Clean and comfy. Provisions were thoughtfully and generously made available. Owner, Bryan, responds quickly and was on site to welcome us and helped us with planning the sights in the area. Bonus: he has koalas & wallaby’s on this vast coastal property! It could have been a little bit cleaner but probably fine for the average traveler.

The place and scenery was very “healing” to just while away time, while my husband entertained himself watching YouTube shows on the TV. The bedroom really could get quite cold as we were warned… I supposed because it was facing the Southern Ocean. Thankfully it was not winter and with the aircon and radiator, we were able to get by and didn’t require the extra blankets provided.

The self-contained "cottage" as tip top and we had fun cooking dinner each night whilst enjoying the amazing view with a nice glass of red at hand. We also explored the many waterfalls and hiking trails that seem to be everywhere in the Otway’s. On the property itself we saw Koalas and wombats. We are looking forward to our return visit in the very near future. This place was truely amazing. Could not fault it!

The goodies bag including chocolates and wine was thoughtful touch but watching the dolphins and seals swim by in the mornings was the icing on the cake Nothing- everything was perfect

Bryan was extremely accommodating and responsive to our needs (even coming down in the night to pass us some towels). Our toddler loved exploring the cottage. A lot of thought had gone into the furnishing of the cottage, including an easy-to-use gas barbeque, a well equipped kitchen, spa bath and heated railings in the toilets. Nil

- Dean (10/5): Waking up to a spectacular view of the ocean - This rental was well-equipped with various amenities that made the stay even more enjoyable. Apart from the cozy wood-burning fireplace and comfy sofa, the homeowners stocked the kitchen, making it convenient for making breakfast each morning. The cozy living area was perfect for relaxation, and the bedroom was comfortable and clean. Waking up to a spectacular ocean view from the bed made our stay more enjoyable. There was also a spacious deck that offered a great spot for taking in the beautiful surroundings. One of the nicest surprises was the corner window seating, which made it ideal for reading a book while listening to the waving crashing below. Additionally, the remote location provided a sense of tranquility and privacy, a significant amenity in itself, allowing for a truly peaceful and serene escape by the ocean. The homeowner's attention to detail made our stay the most enjoyable.

- Sally (10/5): Absolutely Beautiful - From the moment you enter the driveway to the moment you step into your cottage nothing is out of place. The cottage itself (cottage #2 for us) was inviting and cosy with georgeous unobstructed views of the ocean and a generous welcome gift from the owners. Everything you could want, and more, is supplied - it is like being in a home away from home. Nothing has been overlooked. Bryan is a friendly and welcoming host and full of information about attractions in the region and recommendations of places to eat. The weather was up and down during our stay (sun, wind, thunder, rain and hail which resulted in countless rainbows) however that didn't ruin our stay or stop us from attending several attractions. Points South By The Sea is perfectly located, not too far out from Apollo Bay but far enough for relaxation, complete privacy and absolute peacefulness. Enjoying a movie with a glass of wine by the fireplace is just bliss. It was so easy falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean and, at times, rain instead of the usual traffic and barking dogs back at home. After not having a getaway for quite a few years we are thrilled to have found Points. However 2 nights just wasn't enough for us. We will definitely be back again, hopefully sooner rather than later. Thank you Bryan & Joan for a wonderful stay.
