CHRISTOPHER (10/5): Trip to New Zealand - Every pleasant place to stay easy to find and not to far away from the nightlife. Staff very helpful and nothing is to much trouble. Would stay again if in the area but hopefully longer next time. Two nights was not long enough. A++++++
John (8/5): Good accommodation - Unit was spacious, with a couple or spare single beds in living area. Well equipped for self catering and small outside deck and grass area to sit. Found location good.
MyanaMcleod (8/5): - Great location, staff are lovely. The only problem we had was the heat in the room. The room did have two fans however all that did was move the hot air around. Would suggest proper air conditioning. But other wise the room was fantastic. Lots of room for 5 of us.
Katrina (8/5): Great stay only 3 Min walk to the beach. - Thank you for the great stay. Room quite roomy and great with the full fridge with freezer and full size oven. Single beds were very comfy, but found the Queen bed so soft and uncomfortable. But overall really enjoyed our stay and it was only a 3min walk to the beach via the beach access walkway. Reasonably quite too and a small back patio on Villa #7, with a outside rinse off shower for after the beach. Will definitely come back here again.

C D (10/5): Smart, refurbished hotel. - A very pleasant and well maintained motel. It has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Our unit was smart and well equipped. Just one quibble. The summer weather was hot. Two large fans were provided in the unit. The fan itself was enclosed within a safety cage. Unfortunately, when fired up they sound like an aircraft taking off. It was impossible to have the fan on in the bedroom and sleep at the same time because of the noise. Other than that, a great stay. It is a five minute drive into town, a couple of minutes to a large shopping mall, and there is an Indian Restaurant just around the corner.

A small thing was the heater in the bedroom wasn't working. It didn't detract though but I thought the manager would want to fix it if he knew. Lovely sunny outdoor deck off the bedroom. A bit far from the commercial area but still walking distance (4km). Nice accommodation with full kitchen, 1 queen bed and 2 twins. Ideal for family wishing to spend time near the beach in a home away from home.

Host for this weekend was chatty, informative and knowledgable and also willing to go out of his way to being very helpful and obliging. The motel is old and needs to be upgraded, which I believe they are in the midst of. Completing 1 villa at a time. Certainly very comfortable, great supplies of shampoo, body wash and hospitality items. I would stay again and recommend others to this facility.

Paul (8/5): Space & Value - A bit dated but very spacious and comfortable. There were only 3 of us but the room could have easily accommodated 6. From a cleanliness perspective there was a little bit of mildew in the bathroom area and the kitchen cupboard shelves were a bit sticky but otherwise everything else was fine. The free wifi was good. The location is a little bit away from the main shopping/beach area of the 'Mount' but was fine for us being a 5 minute walk to the beach, a park with playground or the local shop. A short drive to Bayfair Mall or Baywave pools. Overall we'd be happy to stay here again.

Manager was very obliging and advised that he is working through the units refurbishing them. I saw one of the renovated units and it is looking very smart. One street back from the main road so very quiet. Comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen (cutlery/crockery etc.)
TomCeratops (10/5): Truly Amazing Room!!!!!! - Stayed in a room with two double beds and two twins and it was HUGE!!! Two beds were in one room and the other two beds were in the main room. Full size refrigerator and lots of cookware and dishes. There was even a full cupboard of extra blankets and heaters in both rooms which was handy as we were there during some cold nights. Located in a super cute and quiet neighborhood and is within walking distance of a huge grocery store. Is a block away from the beach and a thirty minute walk from downtown. The only con that I experienced was that we didn't have a freezer to keep our ice cream but that was our fault for not noticing before buying ice cream ha ha.

We arrived a Lil early and there was no problem for an early check in. The area was residential and I had thought it was closer to shops etc. this wasn't a huge problem because we had a car.

Lillian (10/5): Great hosts and great place to stay. - Great place to stay and very welcoming hosts. Perfect unit for my friends and I and we enjoyed our stay, def will look at going back again. Only disappointment was that another guest parked in our carpark and since it was a visitor we had no idea who they were until they moved in morning. No fault to the owners especially since carparks are numbered. Owners were very apologetic. Added plus was being able to use a washing machine and dryer.

Verified traveler (4/5): Smelly night over - This was certainly a stay I won't forget. Book this hotel as It looked nice and tidy and clean. Hotel staff were great, as I entered the room I thought this was clean and tidy but when I shut the doors the smell of moth ball musky smell was overwhelming. Whether the smell was due to the slightly moldy curtains and slight moldy bedroom ceiling I'm not sure. Went to bed ended up waking and midnight to bad asthma and ended up sleeping in my car.

We had the best nights sleep in the most comfortable beds. The staff were lovely and the kids loved the free wifi. We would definitely stay again.
David (8/5): Good value for money and handy - I needed a place to stay for two nights while attending a family party and didn't want to pay a fortune, while wanting somewhere handy in Mount Maunganui. Blue Wave was fine on both counts. It was not flash but it had everything I needed including free wifi that worked very well, a reasonably equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed.
Michael (4/5): close to the beach - This motel needs a total refurbishment...was dirty and the fridge never worked properly. We were there for 6 nights and it was $137 per night and very very disappointing. Will not recommend it and willnot go there again! Laundry and barbecue filthy! Never used them. The Manager was very pleasant though but that did not help ....
