- Tanya (9/5): Perfect weekend getaway - A lovely cottage. Comfortable and clean. Quiet but close to everything. A fabulous place to base ourselves in the barossa, close to all the wineries and a short walk to town.
- Begzada (4/5): looks better on pictures, inside cottage looks very ‘sad’ - Close to town centre a lots of dust, especially in the corners

- David (8/5): Relaxing location ideal for sampling local wineries - Breakfast good. Within walking distance to main street Bed too firm. No milk supplied.

- Margaret (7/5): Good -
- Kerry (5/5): A pleasant stay, but the cottage needs an uplift. - Location was excellent for access to local wineries and attractions. The cottage was in a peaceful setting with lovely gardens out front. The lounge was saggy and uncomfortable to sit on and difficult to get up from. Breakfast was in short supply - only enough for two days when we had booked for four days. The carpet was worn and stained.
- Rosemary (8/5): - Needed some tender loving care
- Jillian (8/5): Lovely getaway place with everything you need. - Lovely quiet location, well equipped with everything we needed and more.

- Orcball (9/5): Superb -
- Willemina (9/5): Quiet, comfortable, charming cottage with ample provisions and personal touches - Provisions were enough for two breakfasts for us. Location was perfect. Close enough to the main street to walk but very quiet.
The spa looked very inviting but we were not sure we'd feel safe getting in and out (due to age related problems, no fault with the actual bath) The tea towels touch the bin when the cupboard door is closed.
A small amount of mould at the bottom of the shower screen door
- LLOYD (10/5): - Great place to stay
- Bronwyn (8/5): - Loved the cottage needs bit tlc eg 2 light globes no gas barbecue outside light
But really enjoyed the homeliness and extra touches made available.
Thank you Ross & Bron

- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Simone (8/5): Close to many attractions - Great location. Fireplace was a plus and good size bedrooms
- William (9/5): Superb - Great time with open log fireplace, great simple food provided, good locality. Eventhough climate was very cold, the house was nice and warm. Some of the utensils were dirty. But I was most unhappy that we did not receive any feedback from our whatsapp messages or emails.

- Sarah (10/5): - A peaceful country oasis where we spent an enjoyable and relaxing weekend. The cottage was very well appointed with great amenities and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast ingredients were of a high standard, we didn’t leave a crumb!! Great location with delicious options for high quality dining out within walking distance.
- Julie (9/5): Perfect weekend getaway - Perfect, very well set up with all the little things and big things, bottle of wine with choccies to the relaxing spa A television in bedroom would have been a bonus
- Vicki (10/5): Cosy. Showers yum - The open fire. Spa. Shower. Kitchen appliances bed comfy We were there for three nights could have had more eggs
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional - Nice house and nearly dead silent. I actually had a nap simply because it was so quiet there. It was amazing.
House inside and out was clean and tidy. Had everything we needed. Was greeted by a wolf spider in the middle if the floor as we arrived but a Italian man with a thong was faster.
This isn't a bad thing but more an unavoidable Australian thing.
Also on a serious note, in a few corners and in lights there was spider webs. Maybe just go around and clean them off.
Other than that 10/10
- Elizabeth (9/5): A home away from home - We just loved this very spacious, original stone cottage. The construction meant it was naturally cool, so very little use of air-con was required. We were visiting our daughter and her partner and we really enjoyed being able to have them over for dinner and just relax together. The whole place was very well-equipped, with lots of thoughtful touches and yummy treats left for us. Only a short walk to one of Barossa's charming little townships.
- Shelly (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful garden, which brought the lovely sounds of birds, it was also so peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely stay again 100%.
- Tara (10/5): - We stayed in the Rose cottage and it was so clean, well looked after and has beautiful character. We received an email before we arrived with everything we needed to know. The breakfast supplies were such a nice touch and plenty of food for 2 people for 2 nights. Would highly recommend and would love to go back and stay again.
- Anh (9/5): Superb -
- Debbie (10/5): - Well set out property with everything you need for a relaxing couple of days
Breakfast supplies in the fridge was a nice touch.
Easy walk to shops and cafes with lots of wineries within a short drive.
- Debra (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was lovely, the cottage had everything needed and the location was great
- William (10/5): Great place to recharge our batteries after a tough year - Amazing surroundings on a quiet street Our stay wasn’t longer and went to quick
- Clayton (9/5): Superb - Good facilities well stocked with all your needs
Bathroom with a great shower and view The low lounge was a little difficult to get in and out of or lay in .
Had trouble connecting wifi .
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional - Location, all facilities and very clean, generous breakfast provisions and complimentary bottle of wine and plenty of firewood. Very minor, no dishwashing tablets and empty coffee jar, very minor issue but the extra provisions truly made up for it.
- Lou (8/5): It was lovely, thank you - It is incredibly pretty and sweet. Very cosy and romantic The bed and couch were very uncomfortable
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely breakfast of local produce. The cottage was very cosy and comfortable
- Lisa (10/5): - perfect location for our Barossa get away. Charming and comfortable cottage, the breakfast exceeded our expectations, the birdsong from the garden was lovely.
- Angus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gavin (6/5): Tired in need of some TLC - Good location, lovely and quiet, good size, comfortable bed, nice to have a carport, fire was great gardens nice, having a laundry with dryer was fantastic, great dishwasher, like having a whole little house. Overall the house was very tired, and could do with a good freshen up. Lounge was terribly uncomfortable had to sit on the floor. The carpet especially the lounge room was old, stained in places and appeared to not be very clean. There appears to always be water on the bathroom floor and possibly a water leak? Mould in the shower, lots of tiles chipped in bathroom. No tea towels,
Very light on for the cooked breakfast items 2 people staying 3 nights; with only 4 eggs and 4 rashes of bacon, other items were good.
- Christina (10/5): - It’s an old property which has its lovely character,
everything worked. We had a lovely stay, there was everything we needed, It was just like a home. The breakfast supply was very good quality, but it was not quite enough for 3 days. Other than that, it was perfect.
- Raymond (10/5): Great location in a quiet spot. - We throughly enjoyed our 3 nights stay.
The additional treats left-for us to eat was a pleasant surprise.
The bed was really comfortable and the home is in a very quiet location.
Lots of walks to do and only a short walk into Angaston.
The combustion heater was a bonus for us but there is an electric Airconditioner if you want to use that instead.
We would happily stay here again.
- Graham (9/5): Superb -
- Olga (8/5): We had a brilliant stay, exactly what we needed to explore the region. Great location. Would recomme - Great location. Lovely breakfast provided More couches for sitting laying would have been great.
- Darren (9/5): Delightful and restful - Breakfast food was well stocked and delicious, and we loved the wine on arrival. Spa was great! Stunning location and very quiet. The bed was super-warm for a winter stay. We would definitely come back. Great value for money. Really needed more kindling wood supplied to get the fire going, but once it was hot it was beautiful! Couch was ordinary, and we had some trouble getting the cd player to work for movie night.
- Abby (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (7/5): Stayed an extra night, despite the short comings, once I’d cleaned everything I used first. It actually pains me to sha - I have been coming to stay at, Country Pleasures for some years now, and have delightfully encouraged friends and family to stay, some of which I know have consequently, took my recommendation.
I always enjoy the cosy, quiet nature of the cottages laced with a few little luxuries.
It’s always been clean and being a city girl, I enjoy the warmth and calm the fireplace brings. I must start by saying, I wanted to hold back because I truly love staying at the Country Pleasures cottages, but the more I thought about it and the money spent, I decided I couldn’t. Thank you to the previous managers for always delivering charm with a little style.
At first, I was going to start with , little things mean a lot, but so do the basics.
Basics being cleanliness. Sorry, but this was lacking. As soon as I realised upon arrival, 2pm!, I immediately checked the bed linen, happy to say despite the hole in the corner of the sheet I turned over (?…why not tuck the corner with the hole at the end of the bed even?)…the bed was at least clean, and that’s where it ended..(
The oven was dirty, the spa (a major draw) was not clean, I know because I ended up cleaning it myself, not something you was to be doing on a trip away. I left a clean bathroom at home to stay in a dirty one. The spa set up is usually a special place too, but the glass to the little garden atrium (now containing dead and dying plants) was dirty too, on the outside. No way of clearing that view.
Then there were wifi issues, so there went another hour of my stay with the guy in the bedroom sorting out the connection!
Cleaned every dish first…half an unfinished bottle of juice from prior guests in the fridge. Crate of bottles left out the front. Ash from the fire dumped in the garden.
Absolutely zero anticipation of my arrival.
No more homemade biscuits, warmed room with ambient music playing, when you arrive.
….I recently went glamming, in a tent. And that felt cleaner.
- Gregory (8/5): Very good -
- Patrice (10/5): - Delightful property! It was warm, cozy and relaxing and the location was excellent for exploring the Barossa Valley. Loved the fireplace and spa!
- Franz (8/5): Very good -
- Josef (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): Everything we needed for a very comfortable stay was provided. We will return. - We were delighted with the attention to detail to ensure our comfort, the generous provisions and resources, space and comfort. It was just what we needed after 2 weeks of travelling across three states. It was well located in the heart of Angaston. While communication was by email only, it was clear and helpful. Like others found, the low lounge was hard to get out of (nitpicking!)
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacinta (10/5): - One of the best motels I've stayed at. I was pleasantly surprised once getting into the room. It was clean, appears to have been recently renovated, had a comfy bed (and I'm very fussy), and all the basics you need from a motel. I also appreciated easy streaming to the tv. Would happily reccomend or stay again.
- Melissa (10/5): our stay was fantastic, the property was clean and comfortable! we will definitely be back again and next time with our - absolutely everything was perfect!! nothing to dislike

Thanks for inclusion of detergents, cooking oil, sauces, such nice touches in a relaxing, rustic style cottage. not sure where to empty the trash bins as no recycle or general waste large bins at gate
- Marta (7/5): Good -
- Grace (10/5): Excellent and lovely! - The cottage is tended with care to every little details. it is located conveniently in Angaston. The cottage is supplied with everything we need. Breakfast was provided with generous portions. The bedding was extremely comfortable. None.
- Glenys (8/5): Our cottage had all we could wish for, was clean and I’d happily stay there again. - Our cottage was in a quiet street close to the town and well supplied with little extras, how did they know I love Fruchocs? It was a good base for us to explore the area and just a short drive to Tanunda and Nuriootpa.
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - Spa bath was lovely. Had a lovely cottage feel. It was a nice escape from city life. Quiet area. Breakfast was amazing, fresh produce, great taste. The garden around the cottage needs some attention and the sitting room couches were uncomfortable especially for someone who is 7 months pregnant.
- Jack (8/5): Very good -
- Jess (6/5): - The location is good. The property itself was clean but dated interior. The outdoor area could be better maintained. We were unable to sit out and enjoy the nice evening which was a shame. The owners did leave some nice extra touches such as wine and biscuits etc and had clearly made an effort with this. Thank you
