- Wendy (10/5): Just adorable cottage with so many extras… fantastic value and not a thing to complain about - Loved the cottage as it was so traditional for its age, so much thought gone into the stay. We were left breakfast essentials, fresh milk, juice, yoghurts fruit, bread tea coffee sugar cereals jams etc everything needed for our stay. Couldn’t want for anything at all. Check in was so easy and even got an sms then a call to check in with us on the day of arrival. So much literature there for our stay too. Blown away by all the little extras like chocolate coated apricots and fresh local produced biscuits, and even a chocolate each by the side of our beds. Couldn’t complain about anything. Umbrellas left at doorway for us too Nothing Thankyou totally recommend this cute little cottage
- Ian (10/5): One of the Best .... - The cottage was amazing.
Clean, comfortable beds, great kitchen with everything you need, amazing bathroom with awesome bath and powerful shower.
Location close to everything.
Daybed out front to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. Absolutely nothing!
- Wendy (10/5): A beautiful stay! Thank you Lydia. - Everything was fabulous! Location and tasteful decor. Quality linen and inclusions. Lots of extras and food for breakfast and lovely personal touches.
Short walk to bars and restaurants. Nothing
- Andrew (10/5): Remarkably preserved and cosy period cottage with all the comforts you could want. - Loved the 1940-50s decor and the attention to detail. Quiet location but easy walking distance to the Main Street of this quaint historic town away from the tourist bustle of the Barossa. The continental breakfast supplies were most welcome. It rained all weekend, but we were more than happy to soak up the warm ambience of this gorgeous cottage and it’s lush garden setting, between walks in the town with our umbrellas.
- Michael (10/5): Just right, perfect B&B accommodation. A wonderful location from which to explore the Barossa Valley - Walnut Cottage is beautifully presented, reflecting interesting history & comfort, without clutter or any cobwebs!. We especially enjoyed the comfortable, cosy sitting room and imagine it would be wonderful in winter with the open fire. Air conditioning was effective on a hot summmers day. We also enjoyed the fabulous full size bath in a bright airy bathroom with seperate shower. The location was simply brilliant. An easy stroll to the mainstreet where there were several cafes and other places to eat, a fabulous butcher and very well run, comprehensively stocked 7 day supermarket. A wonderful location from which to explore the Barossa Valley.

A warm log fire, electric blankets and warm bedding kept us warm despite it being winter. It was a really fantastic place to stay and the cottage had all the luxuries and comforts you’d expect.
- Stephen (8/5): - The cottage was cute and comfy, very well decorated, comfy bed and a welcoming atmosphere. Great location and easy walk to coffee and pub. We visited midwinter, so it was cold. We found we needed both the kitchen air conditioner on, plus the log fire in the lounge ,so that it was comfy in the lounge. This was fine as long as you were staying in for the remainder of the day once the open fire was alight. Only a minor inconvenience compared to everything else which was great.
