Guest Reviews

- Benjamin (10/5): -
- Martin (10/5): - Everything. ❤
I couldn't ask for better hosts.
Always on call, yet leave you alone.
Everything you could possibly need is present in the property.
Location is stunning.
My only regret is that I don't own the property 🤣 N/A
- Christine (10/5): Lovely weekend escape. - Perfect location. Very well equipped. Very comfortable
- Tricia (10/5): Beautiful comfortable apartment in great location - The apartment was beautifully presented and well appointed. The bed was comfy, shower good and kitchen very functional.
The hosts could not have been nicer or more helpful and accommodating. Really lovely people. Nothing
- Drae (10/5): -
- Phillip (7/5): - It was comfortable for a few days stay. Bright light in bathroom attached to a noisy fan. Very basic kitchen/cooking facilities.
- Sara (10/5): Tranquil hidden gem! - Absolutely wonderful hidden gem! Gorgeous apartment close to walking track and waterfall. Apartment was beautifully set out and it had everything we needed. Brian and Karen have done an amazing job to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be back again in future and recommend to anyone looking for a tranquil getaway. Thanks so much!
- Robyn (10/5): Would absolutely stay again. - Lovely property, everything was well presented. Our host Brian went out of his way to make our stay as pleasurable as possible. We were gifted on Xmas day with surprise wine and chocolates.
The property was close proximity to everything. Very private and private Nothing
- Barry (2/5): -
- Karen (10/5): Had a wonderful few days, the room was beautifully presented and very comfortable. The location is close to lots of shop - Very comfortable and convenient location.
- Rebecca (10/5): -

- Sandra (10/5): A special place to relax and enjoy. - From the moment we arrived and were greeted warmly by Karen and Bryan, we knew we were going to have a great stay. Our accommodation was amazing! It was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was easy walking distance to the cafes, shops and restaurants. We will definitely be recommending this property to family & friends. 10/10 Nothing.
- Bethany (10/5): -
- Suzanne (9/5): - Comfy convenient Fully self contained
- Gael (10/5): I had a week in this lovely apartment. It is close to rain forest and to short drives everywhere. - The location is very good. It is near rain forest walks plus it has easy access to other areas of the mountain. The apartment was well appointed. It had comfortable bed and other furniture plus good wardrobe space. There is a small kitchen area, good size bathroom and lounge area. I was there for a week. it was good to be able to unpack. Hosts were helpful but unobtrusive. They quickly replaced my coffee when I ran out. I can not think of anything.
- Suzanne (8/5): -
- Susie Duffill (8/5): - Convenient location Couch needs replacing, septic needs to pumped very smelly.
- Steve (8/5): Very happy with our stay 😊 - Easy walks to everything for meals and to Curtis Falls We loved our comfortable little apartment Had everything we needed Only disappointment was the power outlet in bathroom wasn’t working for my blow dryer so wasn’t happy when couldn’t dry my hair for my birthday lunch
- Miss-Amanda-Jayne (10/5): Perfect little studio - Great location and really well maintained
- john (9/5): -
- Peta (10/5): - Great location and great hosts, with very good service and beautifully presented and homely
- Lorraine (9/5): Superb -
- Dirkje (8/5): Very good - Central location. Great hosts. Comfy bed. Thu unit was sparkling clean but unfortunately had a very strong air freshner perfume, cloyingly sweet.
That was the only negative. The smell came from the floral arrangements and did improve on carefully moving them outside for the duration of our stay.
- Polglase (9/5): Enjoyed our stay. Will stay there again. - Not applicable Happy with everything
- Caitlin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayden (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katrina (10/5): Lovely, comfortable accommodation with everything you could need provided. - Great location. Close to major areas of interest.
- Marie (8/5): Happy - A good place for a break all good
- Hanne (8/5): Apart for the above: enjoyable - N/A The TV reception was poor for ABC and SBS-channels.
There was no curtain or shade at the front door which impacted the privacy at night.
Poor ventilation in the apt. After returning to the apt the air was quite stuffy.
- Julie (9/5): Fabulous - A very clean, efficient use of space. Very well equipped. Very nicely presented. Comfortable seating and bed. The location was central. Highly recommended. The road noise. But it was quiet at night.
- Nicole (8/5): Great stay lovely area very clean room - Great location Freshly painted so the smell of paint have me a headache can’t open windows as no screens
Property under construction atm so a bit of a mess outside. The room was over decorated with fake flowers teddys ornaments which made the room cluttered and left no room to put your stuff down.
- Renate (9/5): Lovely cottage, unfortunately right next to a busy street - Great cottage Next to a busy street
- Robert (2/5): - I paid for it and then the property owner told me it wasn’t available I want a refund ASAP
- Ngarere (10/5): Cosy place to stay away from hustle of city - Great location, cosy and has everything you need, comfortable bed hot shower, clean room Everything was good but we weren't aware it was attached to the main house very minor
- Kay (10/5): Excellent -
- Kyle (3/5): Poor -
- Bons (1/5): I slept in my car and it took days to recover. - The location. The strong smell of mould (and chemicals to cover up). The ants. The droppings in all the corners. The mould present in the property. The dust.
- Sugath (9/5): Superb - All
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dennis (8/5): A pleasant place to stay and enjoy Tamborine Mountain. - We appreciated the spacious grounds and the sheltered porch to sit and enjoy the surrounding vegetation. The property is adjacent to and a short walk from the Curtis Falls NP. The apartment, though somewhat dated, was comfortable and spacious. The lack of natural ventilation. There are no windows in the bathroom and only the front door and one small window (both unscreened) that can be opened. There is an air conditioner but no overhead fans. Being close to a major road there was some traffic noise.
- Cherry (7/5): Good -
- David (9/5): Lovely spot!! - Very cozy little unit to return to each day. Could have insect screens - at least on the front door.
- Russell (10/5): Highly recommend for a stay in Mount Tamborine. - A comfortable, well appointed apartment with absolutely everything we could need. Richard was a very hospitable host with lots of information about what to see and where to eat. Close to the falls and a short drive to the Gallery Walk and Gloworm Cave. Nothing. All great
- Robert (9/5): Very nice stay, would book again in a heartbeat - Richard was a lovely host, very accommodating and has a lot of great info on the area. The room was very nice and had about everything you could need, the tea and coffee selection was very good also! The location was nice and close to the Falls walking track and the shops. Very little not to like, overall a very nice place to stay. Perhaps a couple of considerations could be the distance from what was a pretty busy road (we are from country Vic so traffic is not really a thing for us, most people probably wouldn't even notice the traffic) and the one thing we did find a little uncomfortable was the lack of a privacy blind on the door, which looks in on the room from the outside, including the bed and living area.
- Les (10/5): Reinvigorated. - Great hosts, excellent location-easy to access everything the mountain has to offer. Atmosphere was just right, do as little or as much as you want. Returning home.
- Hearn (7/5): Our stay was most enjoyable the hosts were excellent and very informative in answering any questions - The location was great very central
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely apartment style accommodation. Richard was the perfect host. Convenient location.
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely location. Clean facilities. Nothing. It was all good.
- Emma (8/5): Cosy and comfortable. - Crisp white sheets. Cosy studio. Lovely host. Beautiful trees. Funny kookaburras. Getting a little tired.
- Lauren (9/5): our stay there was great 👍 I would go back again - the lovely fire stove, the coffee frother 😆 very comfortable bed hot water ran out in the shower
- Kendra (10/5): We will definitely be back to stay again.. - Get little studio apartment, had everything we needed for our stay. Richard was a great host and has some great knowledge of some great places to visit and eat..
highly recommend for a romantic getaway with you partner.
- Tamara (8/5): Very good - Very central
- Danielle (10/5): Romantic weekend away. Perfect! - The studio is in the perfect location. Facilities are great, warm and comfortable and a very homely feeling. We loved it. Hosts were so friendly and gave us some great tips for places to visit.
Great spot for coffee only a couple of minutes walk, and the curtis falls walking track is directly behind the property. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will be back. Loved everything.
- Kaye (10/5): Exceptional - Over all place was excellent Comfort friendly position
- Denise (8/5): Very good -
- Judith (8/5): A relaxing two night stay. - The location was excellent as we were a comfortable walk from Gallery Walk and North Tamborine shops and cafes.
The Curtis Falls track was almost adjacent to the property. The interior heating was very efficient and quiet.
Spacious with a very comfortable bed. Easy off street parking. Was disappointed the front patio area was in need of an upgrade and a more comfortable space. We were not tempted to use the outdoor fireplace. A blind on the front door would improve the feeling of privacy and reduce early morning light. A variety of drinking glasses is lacking.
A more visible well lit entrance would improve sighting of the property at night.
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location. Central to everything. Would have loved washing facilities.
- Stephen (9/5): enjoyed the walking tracks, shopping at gallery walk and the friendliness of the place - very comfortable and was just like the photo
- Debbie (9/5): Hosts very friendly and informative. A lovely spot would stay again - Comfortable - quiet, relaxing
- Mandy (10/5): Lovely quiet room, great location, very friendly owners. Very relaxing, awesome spot. -
- Michael (10/5): excellent - Richard and Elizabeth were very nice and top people to deal with.
The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in.
very quiet neighbour, perfect for relaxing weekend. we couldn’t fault anything, it was just perfect.
- Johannes (10/5): - It was a short but pleasant stay at the property
- Greg (8/5): Very good -
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Larissa (9/5): Superb -
- Aidan (9/5): Superb - beautiful property set in a wonderful location. great garden to walk around and close to cafes and waterfalls
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Denis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (9/5): one of the most pleasant and relaxing stays we have had - totally private and self contained, very comfortable with everything one would need. Nothing
- Bruce (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anita (10/5): Great little get away and close walk to the Gallery - it was very homely and comfortable nothing
- Kate (10/5): Perfect - The owners were beautiful people and the stay was great
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cosy stay, excellent location, hospitable hosts - Friendly and hospitable couple running the place. It was a cosy and well kept stay in an excellent location between the residents hub with amenities and Gallery Walk, and the Curtis Falls track was located just behind within a few mins' walk.
- Robert (4/5): - Not as advertised, dated , no soap/body wash. Our apartment was a area attached to the main house.
If you want a fire you have to get your own wood. For nearly $300 a night i wouldn't go back. We left a day and night early and paid for other accommodation.
- Anushri (8/5): Cute little studio - Richard was lovely and greeted me at the property and showed me into the studio. It was quite cute actually - ok on cleanliness I mean it’s in the mountains and I think the back door backs directly onto the property land so bugs kinda crawled into the bathroom area. Service was good location is amazing. It was the best thing about this studio. Lots to do nearby and within walking distance unfortunately it rained the full day I was there. But I got to see the falls the night before. Good thing the studio had Netflix!
- Anthony (10/5): - Very nice stay in peaceful surroundings.
- Debbie (10/5): Friendly Hosts - Unit was very clean and comfortable. Great location within walking distance of the local shops and cafes. Breakfast was great and the spa was enjoyable. Hosts are friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect location and super friendly staff room was excellent
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We liked the charm of the property and the kindness and helpfulness of the staff. Overall very relaxing stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was ok !! Little small & bed not great !! Owner's are lovely & the breakfast was lovely !! I domestic at midnight across the road was not ideal !! In general not a bad place !!
- Linda (10/5): Absolutely fabulous - Absolutely amazing! The from the breakfast to the rooms. I would and will recommend this for any age
Group.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Close to all the activities on the mountain, walk to Curtis falls directly from the hotel.
Hospitality of the highest order from the host , Richard.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely room with all the amenities we want from a B&B
Hosts were really helpful and friendly.
- Brad (6/5): Handy drive to mt tamborine - The owner is lovely and kind, and made a beautiful home cooked eggs benni for breakfast. As all the guests met around the kitchen table in an English styled room, with decorative plates hanging on the walls.
I would say the room was convenient and clean, and the old English theme began with ornaments on doilys. The only downside was the small bathroom behind the sliding glass wardrobe door, it was a clever surprise back there but didn’t offer very much privacy.
We were both sorry to hear the man of the house was in hospital and we wish him a speedy recovery.
More a bnb than a spa retreat in our opinion though.
- Kerry (8/5): Close to shopping and eateries- very weel set out. - Even though it was raining had a very pleasant time on the mountain.
- Darren & Billie (10/5): B & B at its absolute best! - My wife and I have never considered staying at a B&B before bumbling into this real world charmer!
Richard could not have been more accomodating, to the point of dropping us where we had to be not being able to book an Uber in this beautiful part of the world!
The decor has old English charm and the rooms were clean and very well appointed!
We’d stay here again and thank you Richard for your most gracious hospitality! Darren & Billie Rettig.
- Steve (10/5): Friendly English manor style accommodation - We loved our stay here in this very English style retreat close to all that Mt Tamborine has to offer such as Curtis Falls, Gallery Walk and Fortitude brewery. Yet removed enough for peace of mind. Very friendly helpful and courteous hosts. The highlights including the delicious cooked breakfasts in the downstairs dining room, with interesting and enjoyable conversation with the other guests. Recommended.
- Kevin (10/5): Warm and Cosy - This B&B is a lovely house decorated in traditional English style - cosy common areas and lovely sleeping rooms. The hosts are very welcoming and provide a more than expected breakfast. For a characterful stay that fits perfectly will with a Mountain experience this property is perfect.
- Verified traveler (10/5): It was like staying at our grandparents place - The owners were wonderful, the bed very comfy. We didn't stay long but felt very welcome, and they did everything they could to facilitate anty special queries. Brekky was great too!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice quiet rooms - Nice rooms, library and breakfast areas. Small ensuite with no spa in the rooms, only a 'common area' spa, so you need swimmers and may have company! Exceptional breakfast and lovely staff. Mattress not great, no independent suspension so every move shook the other person awake. Clean airy rooms. Lovely outlook.
- Verified traveler (8/5): A touch of home - Great homely experience, very comfortable and close to everything we wanted to see including walks, shops and markets. Great breakfast - loved the eggs benedict.
- Stewart (6/5): Bed and Breakfast with a misleading name. - Richard was a pleasant, talkative host who has been running this B&B for 16 years. The rooms were reasonably clean (although dead cockroach on the carpet in the morning wasn't a great find). The room was booked only a few days prior to the weekend when not much else was available. "Mountain Spa Retreat" has a slightly different definition in my book, as does "luxury getaway room". This is effectively a house with four smallish bedrooms upstairs. Our luxury room included a queen bed, two armchairs and a TV, a dated shower and toilet, but no bath. House is a little tired, as are the grounds which could do with a weeding in the parking area. The hydro-therapy spa is a mobile spa pool, which we were informed would take 24 hours to heat up. We declined. Not ideal for weekend stays. Richard lays on a good breakfast. Location next to the national park and near town is good. All in all, if you are looking for a B&B experience in a good location, a little over-priced and mis-representative in my book, but a nice host (although his age is probably not helping with grounds maintenance), then this may be okay. If you are looking for a private luxury mountain spa retreat experience, I advise to look elsewhere.
- angus (10/5): Exactly what we hoped for. Modest but charming! - Superb staff. Lovely breakfast. Generous extras and spot on advice. Excellent experience!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful scenery; Close to amenities; Friendly staff; Amazing experience!!!
- Nat and Dave (10/5): Wonderful spot for a relaxing mini break. - What a wonderful experience - a great spot for a relaxing "recharge of the body and mind" mini break. Hosts Richard and Elizabeth were very welcoming and accomodating of us into their home, with lots of lovely little touches that made for a very enjoyable weekend away. The breakfast options were cooked individually to order and beautifully - will have to go back to keep working out way through the menu. So far the scrambled eggs are winning Richard! A special mention also to the "chief welcoming committee" Tammy, who as the fur member of the household is just a delight. Many thanks for your fabulous hospitality, we will be back!
- J (10/5): Great B&B - My husband and I were unable to take full advantage of this place as we were double booked for the weekend with weddings in different locations. The owner is very polite and well prepared to provide a great experience for those who enjoy a B&B. Facilities are perfect, with own ensuite and small sitting area in room, while the library is well stocked and gardens well-kept. Breakfast is to a very high quality, with a variety of options available.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Well located and comfortable - Friendly and very accommodating management. Lovely location and a good breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place for a getaway - We had a little getaway at this lovely B & B at Mt Tamborine. Richard was a wonderful host who enjoys a chat & makes you feel very welcome. He also makes a wonderful omelet & eggs benedict!
