Everything is uphill in Airlie Beach, but this was pretty central yet relatively quiet. Guy below us was a heavy smoker with strong cigarettes. Appreciate owner can’t do anything about it but restricted our ability to sit on the balcony. Coffee machine I’m told was broken by a previous customer and not going to be replaced, which as a coffee drinker I find disappointing as they don’t have to be expensive.

- Daniella (7/5): Overall, Airlie Central Apartments was perfect for our needs, but a refresh on a few things is needed to make it perfect - Airlie Central Apartments was in a perfect location! It was walking distance to everything in Airlie Beach and wasn’t up a steep hill like so many other accomodations. The room was spacious and well designed decor, we used the balcony every day to take in the perfect weather Several of the amenities were not working properly, for example there was no light in the kitchen which made it very difficult to do anything as the sun sets early. Some other lights weren’t working, as well as powerpoints, no antenna on the TV and we weren’t able to change the settings on the aircon so it didn’t help with the hot weather.

- Dianne (8/5): Airlie Beach is a beautiful destination. - No restaurant. Views from third floor spectacular. We were informed just before we arrived that the swimming pool would not be available as there was work being done that week. As my husband has mobility issues, the fact that it was a long walk up from the main street and then 21 stairs to negotiate to get to our room. Luckily another guest helped us up with our cases to the third floor as there was no lift. We were also helped down when we left by our neighbouring guests.

Where we could eat out if we wanted to or cook at the apartment after a big day out. - It was close to the main street and beach, just a short walk across the road. Layout of apartment was good. The balcony had a good view of the water and an electric bbq. The door took some time and wiggling of the handle before it would lock sometimes.

Loved it and recommend! - Excellent location close to town and easy to access (vs many other accommodation options around town that are located on extremely steep streets). The apartment provided all of the home comforts to make the holiday very enjoyable (fully self contained, bbq on balcony, tv’s on balcony, in living room and bedroom, good aircon and ceiling fans, etc). The pool was a little disappointing (seems overstated on the website). An additional lock on front door might be worthwhile or provide an in-room safe for guests’ valuables.

I stayed for business purposes and this was perfectly adapted (2 min drive from Woolies if you need anything) All went well

- Kathy (1/5): We loved Airlie but this apartment did not meet any of the description listed. BEWARE - Our disappointment was extreme. I had searched for 2 bedrooms and the Accommodation details listed on my reservation included 'This spacious apartment includes 2 bedrooms, a ....' (see attached) The apartment had 1 bedroom and NO living area as a bed took up the entire space (Image attached). The kitchen was very poor, minimum items and limited ability to prepare meals, with shelves above reach height so some items were unobtainable. The microwave above the fridge was too dangerous for a small person to use. There was no mention 30plus steps to the apartment. The pool was a plunge pool only. The internet kept dropping out and the lack of screen doors meant the insects came inside.

I really appreciate that items we left behind were sent back to us, thanks so much. No lift, our parking spot was a tight fit however you can park outside out the front, no exhaust fan in bathroom

I will be definitely booking this place yearly and recommending him to everyone. The heat haha, but that wasn't Pj fault and his unit had amazing aircon and the pool helped.

The balcony gave us a glimpse of the sea; the property was very well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. The BBQ was clean and we made use of it most of the time as the kitchen was a tad small. The kitchen lacked bench space and, therefore, you could not use the toaster without taking another appliance off the bench.

The unit was lovely and clean and comfortable. I thought the pool was going to be bigger than what it was, it's more of a plunge pool.

Tours would also pick up from the apartment. Had a view of Airlie Beach from the balcony. Was equiped with all the essentials. Was clean and tidy.

As apartment is managed offside there is not much to say about staff. Initial contact was friendly and helpful. Cleaning could have been a little better but that’s just me being picky

- Aimee (4/5): Fantastic location - cleanliness a let down. - I arrived at Airlie Central Apartments for a 4 day getaway by myself from Canberra. The apartment looked really nice on arrival - nice furniture, lots of sun coming in and an awesome spa on the balcony. However on closer inspection I did not feel like the place was clean at all. There was crumbs on the kitchen bench and on the floor, the floor was sticky, the bedroom was dusty, the shower looked scummy, the toilet didn't look clean either. However I know that things can't always be perfect so I text the owner and she was more than obliging to have her cleaners come back and fix it. Unfortunately, after the cleaners came back, the apartment wasn't much different. The shower smelt of cleaning product but didn't look clean so I chose to wear thongs in the shower. That was really all I noticed that was different. The ironing board was lop-sided and I had to hold onto it as I ironed. The lamp in the living room didn't work.
- Meg (8/5): Lovely apartment, close to the heart of Airlie! - Our stay was great! The apartment is lovely, close to everything (500m flat walk) but far enough away that it's quiet and secluded. The spa on the balcony was great, would've been awesome if it was turned on before arriving though so we could use it straight away.. oh well. The only complaint I have is a weird smell in the apartment (sort of stale?), and no dishwasher. No one likes washing dishes on holiday. Kirsty is amazingly helpful & nice - she tirelessly helped me with invoice issues, check in was so easy and seamless. Quick replies on check out regarding storing my bags for the day. I would definitely stay again!!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The apartment was clean and tidy. It had everything you could want and the spa was excellent. It is located only a short walk from restaurants and shops in the Main Street.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Reasonable good value for the stay. The room is relatively small and don't have a view. Service was very basic as no staff clean the room during the whole stay and you need to get rid of the rubbish by yourself. Surprising that there was no boiling water jug in the room as this is an apartment hotel. Notice quite a few 'colourful' ants in the room (e.g. on the chairs) but not sure whether this was common in that area.

Very well equipped kitchen and laundry facilities, although crockery and cutlery could use some extra clean. Courtyard very nicely landscaped, spa bath and outdoor furniture were great for relaxation. Great value for money given the facilities provided and close vicinity to main street.

Unit was surprisingly clean and comfortable and the spa on the deck was amazing. Unit was well appointed with quality appliances and fixtures. Pool was clean and well maintained. I would definitely book this hotel again, perhaps one on the top floor next time to get full views of the water.

The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and conveniently located (right behind the Main Street, away from noise but a very close walk to restaurants/grocery store). Additionally, it wasn't located on a steep hill! The kitchen was well-stocked, as was the bathroom (small shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer, towels). The apartment was spacious and well-kept. The only downside of this apartment was the lack of WiFi (just my preference, and probably ultimately good for 'disconnecting'). However, there were times where I would have liked to use it to look up directions or check my email. Overall a really great experience and I'll definitely be back!
