- Belinda (7/5): Neat and tidy, but needs to be improved before I stay again - The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We loved the little courtyard. We had a lovely cuppa out there. Plenty of tea and coffee making supplies were provided. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We were told there was road noise and were provided ear plugs, but they did not help at all. The road noice did not stop. There was no quiet period where the noise was quieter. As a result, we got very little sleep before our flight. The plantation shutters look lovely, but they provided very little protection from outside light. The light from the traffic and the street beamed right through the shutters, so again, making sleep very difficult. The corridor lights are very bright and remained on all night, we had a massive gap under our door, so our room was way too bright to sleep. There is no elevator so dragging all our luggage up several flights of stairs was a challenge. There is no parking on site. The staff recommended to park on the 2 streets behind the hotel. However, at check in time, which also coincides with school pick up, there were no parks and we had to drive around several times to park. This became quite a stress. There was no bath mat or face washer provided, only towels.

I'm still happy that it's around 3 km to the international terminal, which made it a great value for money because uber costed me about AU$25 and 11, totalling about $38. It's truly part of a cost effective way to travel from Canberra to South Africa. It had everything I needed travelling alone. A single bed, shower, toilet, fridge, desk.

When we walked into the room it smelled very musty and there was lots of dead bugs. Also being on a main road it was very noisy. - Tony (2/5): Good location: very noisy very hard to get sleep - The location It is on a busy street corner and there are cars trucks and motorbikes right outside your window all night and all day. There was one man screaming out insane language for hours down the hall. No one did anything to try and calm things down. Fingers crossed this is just a one off occurrence. But I’ve never been on a place where such obscene language was being screamed out at a very high voice on and off for hours. Luckily I was tired from my flight and I did manage to go to sleep with the help of the ear plugs that they kindly had on hand in the bathroom. You normally don’t see earplugs left as an accessories in a hotel or motel. Obviously, they’re there for a reason. Not the best place if you want to get some good sleep.
