Tam (9/5): Excellent value for money with comfortable, updated rooms, great parking, and friendly staff. - Great value for money. The room had updated furnishings, the bed was very comfortable, and there was no road noise which made for a peaceful stay. Parking was easy and convenient, and the staff were thoughtful and helpful. The only downside was that the walls seemed quite thin, as I could hear the person next door snoring during the night.

It was so spacious my kids enjoyed staying here I would definitely be booking this place again when we in town again. I didn’t have any problems with our stay I think everything was above expectations for me and my family. We don’t have any dislikes only likes about our stay.

John (8/5): Prettig verblijf op loopafstand van centrum - Makkelijk bereikbaar motel met bubbelbad (als je hebt uitgevonden hoe het aangaat) en vriendelijke gastvrouw die heeft toegelicht hoe de buurt was, waar pinguins te zien waren en wat leuke stops waren op onze volgende route. Circa 30 minuten lopen na eetgelegenheden langs de haven (en de pinguins) wat wij goed te doen vonden. Ook in de buurt van de coastal walk (sea lions, pinguins en industrie) -

Sharon (6/5): Disabled unit not well thought out or problems fixed - Nicely set out great location nice and clean. Great size fridge freezer. Comfy beds Being told you got it too cheap and that won't be happening again. The disabled unit we had the wet floor in the shower was badly lifted as in a very large amount and when you stood on the good part your could hear the glue squalching ready to come completely unstuck even more and actually a hazard and no shower seat. I thought the owner may not know but when mentioned told me it had been like it for 10 years and was too expensive to fix. I was shocked as both of us that stayed have disabilities. The rubbish bin was a pedal bin that could not be opened easily at all from the top luckily we could use our feet. The microwave was great but you had to pull so hard to open the door that the whole thing moved towards you and the coffee plunger and glasses were up so high that most would not reach them. We found when the next unit went to the bathroom their light would light the room as the back door really needed a blind or something to counteract this. I always sleep on top of a bed to which I bring my own under blanket and top blanket and my own pillow. Upon telling the owner this she said I made more work for her as now she would have to wash the cover of the bed due to health regulations . I'm still a bit baffled by this as alot of people sit on beds and get changed on beds. It seemed like she didn't want us there and considering there were only about 5 units used out of 30 something you would think differently but maybe that's why if this is the attitude she takes. All in all, for most people without disabilities these are probably fine. But we wouldn't stay there again due to the attitude of the lady. No one wants to go away and get attitude and have things that need attention on, like the 10 year shower problem not fixed or get told in advance as it could be very unsuitable for a disabled person. I'm sure health and safety would not pass this unit. These units were definitely not worth the full price they were asking.

We had also asked for two single bed set up in the bedroom but this had not been recorded despite a message response through the app confirming it would be fine.

She assisted to arrange twin beds room for us and provided some useful information for us like restaurant, little blue penguin sightseeing. We had a great time at the motel. Very impressive and memorable. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit Timaru.

The hot water ran out awfully fast, my partner had a bath then I went to shower and it was cold.

My only gripe would be the lack of secure window ventilation latches. I love to air out my room securely whilst im out. Easy fix tho. I will definitely be back
