Guest Reviews
- kenneth (3/5): Stay away at the moment. - The staff were helpful in some ways. I wasn't told about the entrance/exit. The carpets were old and had a mould smell. The room was cluttered, and NOT serviced daily. The curtain rails in the shower were rusted and old. The air-conditioner drainage pipe was broken in the bathroom. The exhaust fan was broken and full of dust.

- Sue (2/5): Don’t stay here - Check in person was friendly So noisy. Air conditioner was very rattly and noisy
Outside was fridge unit or something similar that had a motor that went on and off all night. It was very loud. Very hard to sleep with noises inside tiny room and out. No fan so had to use aircon
- Alan (7/5): -
- Adrian (1/5): Awful, will never stay here again - Cheap My door shut my mistake, it had a code I forget and there was none to help me and I had to brake the door to get in, I tried the number countless times with no answer, with a place that doesn’t have keys this is horrible

- Pamela (3/5): See previous comments. - The pub area looked ok. The hotel room allocated was old and grubby to the point we did not want to touch anything or sleep in the beds! The hotel is located in an industrial area so quite isolated, and we were concerned about the security of our car and contents in the carpark overnight. So we decided to go elsewhere and lose the payment we had just made. I explained our concerns to the bar person who said she would get the manager to speak to me, and disappeared. After waiting for a while, no-one came to see me so I handed in the key and left. We found a very nice cabin at the Whyalla Foreshore Caravan Park. Note, you cannot get a breakfast at the hotel, only dinner.
- Ron (7/5): Good - Stairs
- Lachlan (7/5): -
- Kerry (10/5): -
- Garry (10/5): Perfect - Excellent all round and fantastic bar and bar manager
- Kopp (8/5): Clean, comfortable and very quiet with excellent staff to help out. - Didn't have breakfast there. The location was very good for us as we were visiting our son only a few streets away and as he is only moving in, room was scarce, we really just needed a bed. A couple of bed lamps would have been great, my 'sleeping tablet' is my book and to have to get out of bed again to turn off the light was a bit inconvenient. Wasn't a fan of the street parking, and the parking area although off street was not fenced in. Not knowing the area, was a little wary, but fortunately no incidents. Also, if elderly and have trouble with stairs, there are three sets to get up to the rooms, a lift would be handy.
- Nathan (7/5): -
- Lothar (10/5): - Our seafood platter dinner was delicious 😋 followed by Guinness and services was great 👍. It was all good and easy hotel to find. Also a short distance for my trip to Whyalla Hospital next day.
- Edwards (4/5): - The room was on the 1st floor with no access for the aged or disable without having to use the stairs but there was no mention in the advert
- Johnson (5/5): Cheap and ok for a night if you’re not too fussy. - Location, friendly staff throughout our stay and delicious food from the restaurant. Rooms and facilities are old and very tired. The crockery was dirty so had to wash before use, shower was grubby. Had to plug kettle into the only socket we could kind by the bed (kettle on bedside cabinet).

- Saideding (7/5): - Air conditioner is really noisy can’t get sleep if it’s on
- Michel (10/5): Prima verblijf voor een paar nachten in het altijd gezellig Whyalla! - Het hartelijke ontvangst en de uitstekende keuken. Alles was prima.
- Gavan (5/5): interesting - Big room with a table for two plus a lounge area with two arm chairs. Felt more like a suite than a room. Very odd property. Everything was shuttered and little to no signage on exterior of the building. Siri led me up barren laneways which was actually where the property was located.
- Suzanne (7/5): Served its purpose, will definitely stay again - Did not have breakfast The remote missing for the tv, and no kettle
- Saideding (5/5): -
- Lingjing (10/5): -
- Janine (5/5): - The air conditioner worked awesome. Didn't know where to find the entrance for the hotel.
Was no TV in the room.

- Siew Peng (6/5): - Generous facilities with complimentary water and snacks The noise from the disco downstairs didn’t stop until 2am, it was a Saturday night
- Susanne (7/5): All things considered my stay was great. Other than the first hiccup I mentioned the room was great - I was surprised to have cerial supplied. I had to change rooms. First room was too small. Wasn't equiprd with microwave, even though it was advertised. Second room was bigger, but still no microwave. Had coffee, tea makings with a ketle, but no cups... I always take my own mug
- Aaron (10/5): -
- Hetha (10/5): - Everything. Central location

- cheryl (9/5): Enjoyed - Restaurant and customer service Stairs
- Doherty (5/5): - Location was great for what we needed Staff got my reservation mixed up and took almost half an hour of stressing out to realise they messed up the names :(
One of our rooms was dirty and not cleaned when we arrived.
Wasn't informed there was karaoke downstairs until extremely late and it kept my kids up :(
- Tungvan (5/5): -
- Suzanne (7/5): - Quiet location, could not hear pub noises
- Vicki (5/5): A little bit sad. - Cleaner was very helpful.
Staff in the bar were nice. I really don't think long life milk with cereal is acceptable. The rooms are looking very sad since I stayed there previously.
No meals Sunday or Monday a bit disappointing. I had 3 room changes before I got a room with an ensuite. Room 13 key did not fit the lock. TV did not work at all. Lift did not work at all.
- maria (9/5): -
- Dowden (3/5): Poor - You pay for what you get The hotel was not clean is very out dated no dinning on Mondays no food available. The room was warm and stuffy.
- Nigel (1/5): Overbooked and did not care. - Nothing Paid for 5 rooms and the only reserved 4, could not possibly have cared less.
Been charged for the original 5 AND had to pay AGAIN for a different Hotel
Never ever again, dead batteries in aircon remote, bugs in bed and moudly cheeses and cracker from last guest in the fridge!
Avoid!!!!!!!

- Glenys (10/5): -
- Winskog (3/5): -
- stephen (8/5): Clean comfy and good value - Complimentary cereal, coffee ect
- Joyleen (7/5): - Didn't have breakfast - had it in Cleve Can still hear noises from the hotel generator / refridgeration ?
Better in room 10 than the last time I was here in room 7 - very disturbing having it on and off most of the evening .
Difficult to fall to sleep - although luckily , because I am a deep sleeper it didn't wake me up once I was asleep.
- Tricia-lee (5/5): Was ok for a quick trip as the price was right however 1 night was enough. - Easy access to the main highway to leave
Was quiet no road noise.
Price was cheap.
Some staff were friendly.others were not.
Shower was nice pressure. Parking on the road. Lumpy bed. Half used water bottles in fridge and powder/sand on kitchen benches. Had to move chairs to open the fridge and the curtain was broken and let light in early.
- Ryan (1/5): -
- Sharon (7/5): Inexpensive overnight stay in comfortable room - The price we paid was great for a quick overnight stay. The room was clean, if a little dated. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. It had all that we needed for the night, with the exception of a hairdryer. We ate breakfast outside of the hotel, when we checked in staff didn't tell us if breakfast was an option. There were some packets of cereal and milk in the room if we wanted them. There was a big shutter that was brought down to stop hotel guests from upstairs going into the bar after the bar was closed, which they had already closed when we came to leave the bar at around 11 pm. It felt a little strange having to ask the barman to let us up to our room through a metal shutter!
- Peter (7/5): Good - Cheap accommodation including private bathroom. Curtain difficult to get to cover window properly. Lift to upper floor is for staff only.
- Mark (5/5): Passable -
- Whittaker (3/5): Poor - Breakfast Bar 👍 Tea/Coffee 👍 Frig. Water/ Milk 👍 The Bed was not comfortable didn't sleep well/our backs were sore. No plug in sink. Carpet was torn. Lounge 2 seater had no support at the base.
- Dellwyn (6/5): Staff were very helpful, room needs TLC - In room there was cereal but not enough for 2 people for 3 nights more tea milk etc would be good
- Fiona (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Wendy (8/5): Very good - Clean, friendly, and easy booking at the last minute. The room was well equipped and a good size. No exhaust fan in the bathroom it got very steamy in there.
- Glenys (9/5): Superb -
- Brenton (7/5): Short but pleasant - Breakfast was sufficient & a surprise as didn’t think breakfast would b provided. Location was great for where we needed to b. Curtains need to be fixed. Shower rose to be pushed back towards wall when cleaning so next person using the room doesn’t get water coming out past the shower curtain. These are only minor things otherwise all good.
- Houston (8/5): Very good - The staff were lovely, rooms were cheap but tidy. Location was perfect for my needs.
- Waters (6/5): Staff were friendly, chicken wings were extremely salty unlike the delicious wings I had during my - No milk for coffee after using the only milk on cereal. 3 large black cockroaches. 2 before going to bed, one on the fridge in the morning all of which I flushed down the toilet.
Another on the top of the fridge after breakfast which I couldn't catch.
- Omololu (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Good food, friendly staff, clean comfortable room. - Maybe a toaster and microwave would have been good: Very happy.

- Neicey (7/5): Good price stay. - The price and the room layout was very good. They had no sugar in the room and in spite of having a restaurant on the ground floor you could not buy breakfast there.
- Michael (4/5): Not a great memory. - The food was good. Very noisy drunk people kept me awake for a long time. The room was very small and there was no good access to my vehicle.
- Whitehead (7/5): Good -
- Alan (8/5): Regular guest. Good value considering the low rate. - Good value considering the price. Check in on Public Hiliday took too long.

Room 4. Transferred to Room 13, very comfy, especially on a very hot day.
We are elderly and I struggled to get up the stairs, would not have been able to carry any suitcases or CPAP Machine up to our room.
