• D (7/5): It was fine - It was close to highway and central to town. Staff was friendly and wanting to help. Comfy bed Kitchen with full size fridge The unit and bathroom need proper heating on cold nights - heater provided was not sufficient.

• Celia VV (8/5): Comfortable clean motel close to the Forgotten World Adventures base - Comfortable clean motel close to the Forgotten World Adventures base. A good alternative to the FWA motel if you are going on the rail trip. Spacious room with good seating. Excellent bed. Good shower. All the basic appliances including a single hotplate. It didn't bother us, but the main trunk runs just behind the motel so you get passing trains.

• Anthony (4/5): The staff were absolutely fantastic and accomodating. - Close vicinity to McDonalds, BP and New World. Close vicinity to railway - the room/bed shook whenever a train went by. Noise from guests in room next to us was quite prominent and annoying. They weren’t deliberately being noisy but any action/movement by them was easily heard. Noise from heavy vehicles was prominent 24/7 also.

Daily housekeeping As with most places, no salt and pepper, no plug in bathroom basin Glass door to outside with no curtain, so hard to sleep if going to bed early

• Hadacat (8/5): Great little hotel and good value - will stay again. - It's an older syle motel but spacious room with ktitchen and all untensils you would expect and VERY clean. Good location at the start of town, 2min to walk supermarket and not far to walk to the main part of town. The beds were comfortable and despite being close to the road it was quiet. We arrived early and the room was ready so it was no problem to check in early - great service!

• Ngareta (10/5): Always a lovely stay - We always stay here when we are in Taumarunui. Has everything we need and the staff are friendly.
• Karla (1/5): - The owner, who spoke broken English and was hard to understand, refused to give us a refund on one of the two units we booked, when we realised soon after arrival that one unit could easily accommodate our family. The units were both dark, poorly lit, poorly laid out and very dated. The location is on the corner of the highway and our unit, which was within a relocated villa, vibrated with trucks rumbling past.
