Guest Reviews
- Kathleen (10/5): Excellent - Online Nothing
- Helen (8/5): -
- Dale (9/5): Good - The staff were very friendly Pillows could have been better
- Matt (10/5): -
- debbie (7/5): -
- Paula (5/5): - The room smelt, there were bugs in the kettle, queen bed was hard and you could feel the springs went to single bed and there was bugs (like little flys) under the pillow and sheets.
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Eva (8/5): Clean comfortable TV need to be updated - The location was excellent The grounds needed attention but the owners had only been there for one day
- Alaa (8/5): -
- John (9/5): It’s not the Ritz but it’s a good place for an overnight stay if you’re on the road. - We were pleasantly surprised as the rating for the property was low. The welcome was very friendly and helpful. The accommodation although by no means new, was clean throughout. The linen was clean. The bed was comfortable. The wifi wasn’t available, for us it wasn’t a problem. There’s no tv which also wasn’t an issue.
The motel is well located, close to town. There is a lovely park across the road. There is a delightful walk along the wetlands adjacent to the park. No problems.
- Dannielle (8/5): Comfortable - Easy convenient location No bowls or cutlery or cups in the room, but I didn’t ask for these either
Communication with the property
- Gillian (7/5): Part from dislikes it was comfortable - The location was good. The room its self was comfortable. Car park was good. There could have had tea towels in the room so you could wash up what you have used. Had a hair dryer in the bathroom.
- Tracy (10/5): - On arrival the new manager greeted us very warmly and friendly, she explained that our room wasn't ready so she put us in a queen instead of a standard room as I had booked. She apologised to us but we told her there's no need to.
Amazing shower, very powerful, what you need to wake you up.
I left a thank you note on the mirror as I think it should be called the Gold mine!! 🙂
- Jodie (4/5): It was really disappointing - That the Aircon was cold Everything else it was dirty, the chairs are broken. The plants are dead. Does nobody own a blower? Vac to get rid of all the leaves? The door handles hadn’t been wiped down and nor had the pin pad code so you could see the fingerprints of what your room number was I didn’t even know you had Internet. There was no takeaway guide.
- Kylie (1/5): This place should not be advertised on Booking.com and should not be allowed to operate. - Nothing at all. This was by far the most disgusting and horrible place we’ve ever stayed. Filthy and poorly maintained. The accommodation had clearly not been cleaned, with broken appliances and an overall run-down condition. There were no staff on site, and the property appears to be neglected. Long-term workmen staying there were drinking late into the night and were very loud, making it impossible to rest. Given the state of the place, the price charged was a complete rip-off. We would never stay here again.
- Sandra (3/5): Probably the worst motel I have ever experienced. - No breakfast.
Location satisfactory. Outdoor area in a disgraceful state.
No hairdryer, no iron, no shampoo, no wifi.
Requests were ignored.
Tap in bathroom almost falling apart.
- Nicholas (7/5): -
- Kingsley (3/5): -
- Michael (8/5): - Shower head leaked and there was a water leak at the vanity
- Angela (8/5): -
- Eloise (2/5): - No soap , no toilet paper , no staff on premise
Codes to enter rooms all consistent so anyone can break in. Poor business No soap , no toilet paper , no staff on premise
Codes to enter rooms all consistent so anyone can break in. Poor business

- Christian (3/5): Sadly we are unlikely to stay there again. - Location is ok. Close to Bathurst, Millthorpe etc This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here. Seems very run down now(gardens, office). Didn’t originally receive a text with the apartment/code etc. Finally made contact with someone who sent me through our room details.
Room ok. Shower head kept on falling down.
- Helen (2/5): Didn’t know what room we were in till 7.30pm. Could not contact the facility to answer questions. Be - Nothing Everything
- Giggins (9/5): -
- Ceri (7/5): -
- Helen (9/5): It was perfect for our purpose in visiting family close by while maintaining our independence and space. The motel is 50 - The bed was clean and comfortable. The kitchenette was clean and adequate. The bathroom was clean and adequate and the towels were lovely. There was a large cobweb on the curtain in the corner of the bedroom . We didn’t find wi-fi information.
- Alan (1/5): Stay was OK but dealing with the management of the motel is impossible. - After they initially said they had no record of my reservation and wanting to charge me 50% more than I had already paid they gave me a room after I quoted booking number. They have refused to contact me to confirm another non refundable stay I have booked.Even after Bookings.com and local council have asked them to. Worst business of any type I have ever dealt with. Will not return calls and no staff on site.Speaking to other Blayney businesses and authorities the management of the motel has a terrible reputation.
Avoid.

- Judith (1/5): I will never stay there again. - There was no breakfast. Difficult to make a cup of tea because you could not get the jug under the tap to fill it. This was despite the tap being loose and movable. Obviously someone else ad tried to get the jug under the tap and dislodged it. The pillows were dreadful - very thin. I might as well not have a pillow, and there were no extras. The shower was unusable. The taps on the wall did not work, and when I discovered a knob on the showerhead and turned it, a dribble of water came out. It went from boiling hot to freezing cold and could not be adjusted. So, I didn't have a shower. The bathroom was so small that there was nowhere to put your washbag. Luckily, we had not planned to use their BBQ facilities. See photo.
- Amber (6/5): We had a pleasant stay. It was worth the price. - Conveniently close to restaurants and servo shops. A few hours before check in, I received a call from the staff saying our payment did not get through due to insufficient funds. This was not possible as far as I was concerned as I had used a credit card. I checked my receipts and account, and it showed that it was paid on my end. They said they would check again and did not contact me again. It was self check in with a number code on the doors and it went smoothly, but other members in our group said that similar things have happened in previous stays. Moreover, the was Wifi not working, air vent in bathroom not working, bed had a stiff border that hurt my leg.
- Maree (7/5): Overnight stay - Room size
Shower pressure Gardens are all overgrown & needs a lot of maintenance.
Noisy in morning with workers staying there.
Lack of pillows & messaged staff & got no repsonse.
- Choi (4/5): -
- Norman (7/5): Comfy for short stay - Okay for a short stay. Bed was clean and comfy, shower was clean. Located in a convenient location and no traffic noise. Could do with a dusting and dust webs around the ceiling. All rooms had ashtrays outside so when someone smoked we could smell it in our room. Our room was missing a smoke alarm. Outside is a bit run down.
- Chad (6/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): Nice clean rooms, but lots of items missing not sure if rooms are checked before being occupied, lots of rail workers st - Comfortable bed, good location, issues with items missing quick response from Michelle and given options Bathroom tap was not connected to sink, door between bedroom next door could hear loud snoring all night and clear conversations.
- Kate (3/5): Poor - Location close to our event but noisy trucks on corner during night using loud air brakes. Poor lighting-down lights broken, a/c not working, no tv as described, toilet wasn’t flushing properly, cold tap in shower broken handle kept falling off & no mirror in bathroom.
- Deg (8/5): Too far to walk to the good pub - Nice and quiet All good
- Shane (10/5): -
- Annette (5/5): -
- Brian (3/5): Bypass Blayney! - No breakfast offered, reception locked, no one around, no phone number to ring, ridiculous! Never ever book online.
- Peter (4/5): Shower hot and strong good. Older motel that smelt. - No breakfast. Did not see staff-but thats ok Open door to unit and hit by overpowering air freshener and an underlying stale cigarette smoke oder.
- Mary (9/5): . - NA NA
- Narlisa (7/5): Comfy - Rooms were tidy. Our AC (Heat) failed the first night we stayed, and Michelle went out of her way to get us into a new room, which was much appreciated. Highly recommend.
- Rebecca (4/5): Wouldn’t go again - Nothing Wasn’t clean, quite cold and the door was a PIN code that wasn’t secure and used repeatedly so I kept my possessions in the car
- Tamara Aroha (10/5): -
- Angela (8/5): Great stay! - Rooms were comfy and warm and it had great water pressure in the shower. Bath towels were bigger than usual which I love! Everything was clean and I loved having a code on the door and not having to worry about a key everywhere I went. It’s a bit of a walk from the centre of town and Blayney has no taxi service
- Sally (5/5): - Location The bull mastiff dog in room next door that barked when we arrived or was outside our room and the stink of the dog permeating thru to our room/ dog biscuits and cigarette butts all over the ground outside our room
- Nicky (8/5): -
- kingboss (1/5): -
- Cottrell (5/5): Fair - Air conditioner only just worked. Lucky we bought our own heater.
Toilet flushed poorly, cistern too small for type of toilet.
- SINHA (8/5): -
- Eyess (1/5): Would not recommend staying here nor will I be back - Location Too many things but here are the highlights
No one to meet you and no reception. Key less enter to rooms, I'm sure I could guess every room pass number to get into rooms. Also they sent my pass number for the room to the incorrect mobile number. Cleaness of room, I've keep the things off the sheets. The spiders in room and bathroom (my spider bit on my toe is healing). The room was not cleaned on any day of our stay and bins not empty either. We should have stayed 3 nights (which is what we paid for) but left a day early. Tap spout so lose. Other people's hair on pillows. I could run my finger across headboard and collection the dust and side tables not cleaned with crumbs on them.
- Amy (9/5): Nice stay - Accommodation was nice, clean, beds were comfy and shower had good water flow. It was nice and warm inside with the air conditioning in the winter months when we went.
- Donald (8/5): Adequate. - recently renovated. delay in receiving door code.
- Katie (3/5): Nice room but bad sleep - The room we had was a decent sized room with a spacious shower but The room it was in was quite small, The room was clean and lots of towels and spare blankets were provided.
appliances available were all accessible, including a electric blanket on the bed.
The doorway to the room had a small ramp to the room as well.
We are unfortunately disappointed with the bed the rest of the room was really pleasant.
It was very easy to check in and you got a pin code to your door, and the motel was easy to find.
The staff I spoke with prior to my stay were nice as well, when they called to confirm some details. Unfortunately the mattress on our bed was so hard to sleep on both myself and my husband struggled to get comfortable at all and hardly slept at that point it was past 2 in the morning.
There was a mattress topper being used on the mattress but it didn't help. I think I have had a better sleep in a tent.
On this note being the whole reason we booked was to have a place to sleep, I do think the price for the room was a bit high, but I take in account also they it was a long weekend.
- Jack (8/5): Very good -
- Elizabeth (3/5): Poor -
- Wayne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kelly (9/5): very , very enjoyable - no milk for cup of tea
- Arif (8/5): Very good -
- Diana (6/5): Pleasant -
- Darrin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alistair (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Graham (7/5): Good - Very clean. Shower power good so were towels and bed linen. Glasses and cups all individually wrapped, a nice touch. Decor pleasant. Desperately needs a glass shower screen as the curtain proved useless. Sliding door would be good.(Water spills out onto floor.)
Also a shelf above sink and a mirror on wall.
An extra chair required, only 1 in a 3 bedded room.!
A small wardrobe too as nowhere to hang clothes or at the very least a few coat hooks on back wall under air con unit.
Suggest moving single bed up against wall so leaving space at both sides of queen bed and somewhere to put things from either side of bed.
Difficult to squeeze along very narrow space for 2nd occupant and nothing there to put anything on.
Could have used an extra pillow, just 1 for each person. Good job only 2 of us.
- Shane (9/5): Superb -
- Vivek (8/5): Very good -
- Warren (5/5): Passable -
- Enda (9/5): Superb -
- Deepak (8/5): Fair Price - Good All ok
- Eliana (7/5): Good - Was no instructions for the shower and was an unusual system I almost burned myself
- Chris (7/5): Comfortable - Location No hair dryer
No tissues
Couldn’t fill the jug from the tap in the bathroom
- James (3/5): Poor - The motel was 2 star aspiring to 3 star. The tariff offered by booking.com turned out to be 20% more than the usual asking price.
- Donna (5/5): Not one that would be revisited - suited for the purpose of the short visit - location is a little away from the main street, but within walking distance to cafes and pubs. Good cafes and pubs in town for meals Complex is very tired and lots of broken furniture lying around grounds. No staff in attendance at premises. Complex needs much updating
- Casey (10/5): Great location, staff super friendly and accomodating. Will definatley stay here again. - Very Clean, tidy and spacious room
- Sharon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kay (4/5): Disappointing - Needs a little TLC
- Brett (10/5): Exceptional -
- Erin (8/5): Stay at Goldfields Motel Blayney - Cosy, comfy, good sized rooms, we had 2. Affordable, staff quick to respond to queries, very polite when interacting, close to shops N/A
- Natalie (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (7/5): Good -
- Jill (4/5): Disappointing. - The electric kettle couldn’t fit under the tap, hence the whole tap was loose from people trying to get some water. No milk was provided. No cereal bowls provided. Light bulbs were out, so room very dark. Didn’t have any contact with staff at all. Generally was run down.
- Kristina (7/5): Good -
- May (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (5/5): Passable - Close to the town centre Toilet didn’t flush
Bed was hard
No room st all to walk around one side of bed.
- Miranda (8/5): Very good -
- Benjamin (10/5): Really happy - Staff were really helpful and lovely
- Mark (6/5): Overall ok - Clean and tidy Leak in bathroom under sink. Floor at bathroom entrance was constantly wet.
No holder for bar of soap supplied.
- Jenny (6/5): Pleasant -
- Malcolm (3/5): Dissapointed, no, Very dissapointed. - At least the aircon works. Room wasn't serviced through any of the four days stayed. Not sure if this is something that isn't included with the room or that you have to ask for it, but wasn't mentioned at check in. Didn't get me tax invoice even though they said they would email it to me. Still waiting for it four days after leaving.
Don't know if the owners would put up with damaged electrical switches and outlets in their home but ok in the rented rooms I guess. Ohh and the couch!
- Howarth (8/5): Had a great three night stay. Loved the concept of door codes rather than a key. - Very easy to find, nice plants and easily accessible parking. Walls are a little thin. Can hear when someone’s in the shower next door and their conversations. But other than that it was perfect.
- Benjamin (9/5): Easy, cheap, pleasant! - Good value. Neat, tidy. Good communication from staff for late check in instructions Nothing really
- Kim (7/5): Good -
- Gumucio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (7/5): Good -
- Allecia (8/5): Very good - Room was great location, easy to enter room, clean. Neighbours were loud, woke us at 1am then at 5am. The bed were very uncomfortable, the pillows were so thin that u might as well of had none.
