It was close to good restaurants, and to the central shopping area. It is a fairly small area for the price, with very basic tea/coffee making facilities. This was similar to that offered in similar sized coastal towns, but found the facilities much below those available in bigger inland cities/towns in this price range.

Super minor/ picky preference things - beside lamps were too bright, kettle was a bit old and could only be filled in the shower (although there was a small plastic jug provided so you could use the bathroom tap to fill that and then the jug).

• Johnson (10/5): - The proximity of the hotel to the town centre. Over the years when I've visited Merimbula, the Pelican Inn has been my choice of accommodation. My last visit this weekend was my third (3rd) time I've chosen to stay there. Honestly I enjoyed my stay. There's nothing I didn't like. The Pelican Inn is a good base when in the area.

• Nicole (6/5): Great location but overpriced. - The room was clean (when we 1st checked in) and in a good location - easy walk to all the cafes and shops. Pool towels were available. Shampoo, conditioner and soap provided in the bathroom. Overpriced. It was the most expensive hotel we stayed at and double the price of any others (which were all in better condition with bigger bathrooms). The bathroom was tiny with the step being a trip hazard. There was a kitchenette but no sink. The air conditoner did not provide enough cooling as it was not near the bed.

Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Was too cold for the pool but even that looked well maintained during winter and the BBQ area looked inviting I have no complaints

You can sense it's slighly aged, but carpet seems new which was nice and plush. Tiny things like some rust around the shower head plate which could be an easy fix with a wire brush.
