Leonie (8/5): A quiet, comfortable stay in a great spot for exploring the Tablelands. - We really enjoyed our stay at Atherton Hinterland Hotel. The room was spacious, comfortable, and surprisingly peaceful, with a lovely outlook over what they call a garden — but it felt much more like a little rainforest right outside the window. It made the room feel private and relaxing. Parking was easy and convenient, and the whole property sits in a very quiet location, which made for a great night’s sleep. At the same time, it’s central to all the main highlights in the Atherton Tablelands, so it was a perfect base for exploring the area. Nothing we didn’t like — it was a comfortable, spacious stay.

The room itself was comfortable, exceptionally clean and in a good location, closeby to pool and easy to enter with our luggage as we were able to park our vehicle nearby. The complex felt safe also. The trees, while lovely and shady, also felt a little too much from our room. The trees were beautiful and attracted the parrots, but also the flying foxes. I just felt though, they were a little too close to our room, particularly in the evening when the birds and the foxes were so noisy (particularly around this time of the year)

But gets a bit expensive for the solo traveller for very basic and older facilities. Text conversion with reception was kind and friendly... and the lollies were a great touch. The steps up to and inside the family room were quite dangerous when wet.There was one toilet roll for four people with no replacement rolls luckily I noticed before tea and was able to go to IGA after tea.No facial tissues either!Lugging Bags ,games etc from the car to apartment would have been worse only for a lull in the rain.Also no second TV in either bedroom seemed stingy.The bunk beds were ok for small children but not so great for teenagers.

Had I seen photos of this specific room in the offer, I would never have booked this hotel. I felt disgusted staying there. I feel totally cheated and want to warn other travelers.

Wendy (10/5): - Perfect for daughter with mobility problem, small step into room, all level floor in room, could park close to entry so easy access to room,even for walker, bathroom had handrail for toilet, shower could easily accommodate shower chair if needed. Staff amazing as notified us of road closures day of departure in area & offered to continue our stay if required. My preferred accommodation in Atherton, was given very clear instructions to gain key for entry out of office hours.

Lori (8/5): It was a pleasure to stay in a room where everything was what it should be expected to be. - The room was very clean and comfortable. All appliances worked and there was no problems with the room at all. Tea/coffee etc all fully stocked with a bonus of some chocolates. Being close to a busy intersection traffic noise at times was a bit loud but it wasn't disruptive or affecting sleep.
