• Adrian (10/5): Great stay very close to Margaret River town - Amazing location for Margaret River town. The staff and the manager were very accommodating. We arrived earlier than our check in and they let us store our bags in our room which was very good of them. The room was well appointed and clean. The beds were comfortable. The location is just as the title suggests. It's a very short stroll into Margaret River and a perfect location if you are driving around the Margaret River exploring. Nothing, it was great.

It is situated in close proximity to the main street of Margaret River. Steve, the host, was extremely friendly and accommodating and the room itself was perfect. Also a lovely but short walk into town. The room was large and cosy with a very big bed. Plenty of storage and a good shower room with lots of hot water. We loved sitting out on our little terrace with a drink and listening to the birds. Thanks again Steve for a great stay. We hope to be back some day.

• simonb384 (10/5): Great little Motel at Margaret River - Although just off a main road, it was set back a bit amongst trees and we had no traffic noise at night. The room was scrupulously clean with crisp white sheets on a large king size bed. It had every amenity that we wanted: on-suite with towels and excellent shower, plenty of power points, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee and tea, cutlery, wine glasses, water glasses, iron + board, plenty of coat-hangers in wardrobe, local reading lights + dimmable main lights, aircon + fan, TV etc. They also have a small library of books to read and DVDs to view if wanted and lots of maps and brochures of the district. The owner Steve is very pleasant and welcoming and ready to help with anything. He keeps everything so perfect and clean. To the rear there’s a loverly little garden with tables and chairs. It’s only about 5 mins drive outside of Margaret River so easy to get breakfast and coffees there. In all my wife and I look forward to returning.

The room was pristine and very well designed eg fridge, microwave, metal electric jug, tea and sugar, mugs and some cutlery and crockery, a wash-up basin, iron, ironing board, lots of coat hangers in the wardrobe, a spare blanket, lovely quality towels and wash cloths, really cosy and fresh bed linen and a large, very comfortable bed. There is a small table with 2 chairs. The shower is roomy and the shower head excellent force with good hot water. There were lots of power points, a TV, good bedside lights as well as overhead downlights, real plants and a little outside sitting area. The view from the window was of trees and we watched the birds. Steve was friendly and very helpful re places to eat. There were books to borrow to read. I highly recommend this place to stay. The only downside is some noise from the traffic on the road which was not enough to keep us awake. Oh and we had good parking very close to our room so there wasn't far to carry our cases. I highly recommend this place to stay.

You are also close to walking trails and a park. This is a great stopover to enjoy this area.

It was spotlessly cleaned and a short walk into the centre of. Margaret River. Margaret River Brewhouse is only a few doors down from the motel. Conveniently located close to the main centre of town on the “edge of the forest”, the totally eco-friendly renovated rooms are exceptional. Brand new split system aircon, brand new hot water tanks for each unit along with electronic keypad entry. Comfy bed, piping hot showers and everything beautifully clean and appointed. Steve the owner/manager is super friendly and offered great advice for places to visit. Highly recommend staying here. We will defo be back!

Highly recommended - I had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at Edge of the Forest, and I can’t wait to book another trip down south, just to stay there again! Steve (who operates/manages Edge of the Forest) is a friendly, helpful and personable person, who keeps the place in a gorgeous condition. The room itself is clean and well maintained, and honestly I don’t think I’ve had a better shower at a hotel/motel/air bnb in years! Location wise - you are just outside the city centre which is incredibly convenient. The price is fantastic for what you get too, check out their website for pricing (I found it cheaper than some comparison websites!) I highly recommend Edge of the Forest, and can’t wait to go back again in the future! (Please do note - the pictures I’ve added are on checkout, which is why the beds are a little messy!)
