• Clara (3/5): Chambre horrible - Localisation Pire chambre de nos deux mois en Asie !! Ne correspond pas du tout aux photos ! Fenêtre condamnée avec des parpaings donc aucune lumière extérieure et pas de possibilité de renouvellement d’air donc on avait l’impression d’étouffer. Ça ne devrait même pas être légale de louer ça ! Au même prix il y a des hôtel mieux à côté

• Lawrence (6/5): A budget travelers room near Pham Ngu Lao - (This review is for the Three Beans hotel, same owners, a few doors down from the Kiniko.)The bed was comfortable, the location was great. The staff was courteous and kind enough to pack our luggage up to our room, as there was no elevator. No elevator as mentioned. A lack of working outlets, in fact only two were operable. Most lighting didn't work and the bulb was out on the nightstand lamp.

• Riku (6/5): Good for one night stay. - Good location if you want to visit the party street, friendly staff. Basically no sound insulation and children were playing loudly in the hallway until midnight. The air conditioner was dripping water next to the bed.
• Alberto (9/5): Central Location! - Nah is the lady running the hotel and she is incredibly helpful and kind. You are in the heart of HCM nightlife. If you are aware of it it is perfect. At night anyway I could not hear any noise as my room was on the interior.

Все выглядело изношенным и не привлекательным. Один, два дня можно потерпеть неудобства, т.к. цена низкая. Но я уверен, что и за такую цену есть предложения лучше.

• W Rahman (9/5): Staff very helpful - The customer service was excellent, because I had a swollen knee, therefore found it difficult to walk, but the owner went out of her way to help me. She took me to the hospital and spent almost the full day there, got the treatment, then returned. All I can say is that the owner was great, very helpful to my needs. I will definitely stay at her hotel again. Too many steps to climb, no elevator

• Miranda (7/5): - If you are on a budget this is a good choice. I had booked a room at the Koniko Hotel but was actually brought to the 3 Beans Hotel that was next to the Koniko. It wasn’t explained why, and to be fair I didn’t ask for a explanation. The room had all the basic necessities that you would need. The room was equipped with a refrigerator and a really good airconditioning system. Cleaning of the room is on request, just hang a sign on the doorpost. It’s also possible to book daytrips in the hotel. The location is the main selling point: there are many restaurants around the corner to choose from, and you’re close to the busstation and metro. It is a very touristy area, so there will obviously be some noise. Just bring some earplugs. Keep in mind there is no elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage, you have to prepared for that. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, and there seem to be a problem with the drainage, but that was it.

• Daniel (6/5): Simple, clean, inexpensive, convenient. - It was located in the heart of the Tourist District. About 5 minutes from the Walking Street but far enough away that you didn't hear the street noise. Within easy walking distance (if you don't mind the heat and humidity) of many common tourist attractions: Museums, Temples, The River, The Saigon Post Office, Markets, etc. Television with several English and French channels, but sometimes the service would be spotty. Good Air Conditioning. My room was a two story walk up so if you need an elevator look elsewhere. And Laundry done there in 1/2 a day. Very close to the Saigon Bus Terminal so a quick cheap bus in and out from the airport and if you want to get to the Cu Chi Tunnels on your own. When I saw my review it said 6... I'd actually put it more like an 8 if you don't expect a 3 star hotel. I was there for a week and a couple of nights there were young children yelling and playing loudly out in the hallway, but that stopped by 11pm.

• Rosa (10/5): A lovely hotel with great facilities and a comfortable room - Koniko hotel was a lovely place, with a very comfortable bed and great facilities. It was in the most perfect location with under 1 minute to walking street, whilst not being able to hear any noise at night. The staff were lovely and helpful, 100% recommend for anyone staying in Saigon

Their warm welcome and personal attention made a difficult trip relaxed and easy. The facilities are not fancy but for price and location it was excellent value. the neighbourhood can be noisy but that's par for the course and part of the attraction of the area

• Csaba (3/5): Avoid this place and area if you can! - The place is nothing like on the pictures, it is a dirty hostel! The staff was not there when we arrived, we needed to wait 30 min for someone to show up. Then we learned that they don’t have any room for us tonight, but at least they arranged a room for us in an equally shitty hostel next door. At the end of our conversation, the receptionist even asked us to cancel our booking/saying that we didn’t show up so they won’t need to pay to booking. If you are looking for a pleasant stay, just avoid this place and the others in the same street.

One of the staff (forgot his name) is very helpful and trustworthy. The room we stayed in had a bad odor. We had to buy room air fragrance but only have little effect. Nevertheless, we were not bothered after a while staying in the room.

Also, although we booked Koniko Hotel, we actually stayed in Lyly Hotel; this wouldn’t bother us really, just worth noting.

• Paal (1/5): Bad - The location is OK, and the lady running the place is friendly. It is not a hotel, it is a laundry with rooms. The pictures are false advertising. The "hotel" desperately needs renovation, and the furniture in the rooms are broken. It is cheap, but there are both cheaper and better alternatives with the same location. I do not understand the rating it has gotten on Booking.com.

• Linda (10/5): Exceptional - The woman the own the hotel moved us to the hotel next to hers, and the day after we got to choose which hotel we stayed at and we chose to stay on the top floor of the same hotel. The view is really nice, and the room has a balcony around the whole room. We really liked it. When we checked out the owner let us leave the baggage for one day so we didn't have to carry, she did this for free. It can be a bit noisy since it's close to partyplaces etc, but it didn't disturb us too much.
