Excellent value for money for the two nights we stayed. Beautiful views from window seats and balcony. We didn't mind at all, but just note that you might struggle to access if you can't climb stairs.

• Mary (7/5): Location, Location, Location - We stayed in Cindarellas slipper. Beautiful place, Rooms beautifully decorated. So twee. We were able to walk to the town centre as it was only a pathway down to the walkway to get to the beach footpath and Nelson Bay, town centre. Extremely comfortable bed, lovely little verandah to sit on. Lovely seating in the lounge. Loved the kitchenette area. Bathroom was lovely. Excellent view of the sea. We were unable to take our luggage up the stairs. Too steep. There was basically no information about the area, restaurants, where to go etc. For the price we paid, we got uht milk. I would have expected at least a small carton of milk. Only street parking. No internet?? Poor TV reception.

• Melissa (8/5): Nice night away from the hassle n bustle of reality - Was extremely relaxing sitting by fireplace and having a spa. Everything you need for a nice weekend away.awesome outdoor verandah for morning cuppa coffee. Great temp set for aircon took chill out of the house. Great view from spa. Would love to bring family n have the whole place open I have adult children. Very clean n tidy nice n quiet. Thankyou for letting us stay there please don't take the next part as bad as it wasn't just a few little things that would make things better No kindling for fire was a little difficult to keep going at first due to damp wood as well but was lovely once i used fire lighters. Bright neon light outfront turned on late 9ish and didn't turn off till 2.30am so hard to see the step down when we got back from dinner to get out of spa to bright lights I thought someone was stealing my car so ran outside in towel to realise it was the lights (poor neighbours).😄 Tv no channels and had to hotspot phone for anything at all couldn't even log my Netflix due to last user still logged in. Little over cluttered with nic naks n dif col walls but each to there own taste. Blinds needed on back glass door and dinning area for privacy. And last but worst the toilet behind the door I was nearly knocked out unconscious by my partner opening the door when I was going to sit on toilet.

• Sonja (10/5): Just what the doctor ordered. - I thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay here. It was rainy but that didn’t bother me as the cottage was so cosy and well equiped, I enjoyed a beautiful day in. When the rain stopped the centre and beach were close by and I enjoyed my time out. Lynne was very helpful and lovely to deal with. That I couldn’t stay longer.

• Kelli (10/5): Exceptional - Character filled accommodation! Very very comfortable bed. The outdoor spa room was a lovely surprise!! 😄 Very clean and tidy, a credit to management. The loft bed was cosy and adorned with nice decorations and lamps. The spiral staircase felt like in a cool lighthouse! Comfy sofa and t.v -no wifi. Courtyard was delightful, sadly for us the weather was terrible, but looking forward to our next stay. A romantic place for a couple. 😉 Kitchen comes with every crockery, cutlery, utensils and glasses you may need. However there is only a small microwave and electric fry pan. The unit could benefit from a small benchtop oven and hot plates, to make cooking perfection.

• Rodney (10/5): Want an affordable stay in Nelson Bay that will put a smile on your face then this is it. Quirky fun - Quirky little stay with quiet outlook, comfy seating, great bed, big shower and a little verandah to have some bubbles before walking to Town Centre for Dinner.
• Bruce (7/5): Comfortable room but could do with updating. - The room had an air conditioner and there were flyscreens on the windows for cross ventilation. The Cinderella Slipper room upstairs was cosy and comfortable but could do with a make-over. Floor boards need re-varnishing or carpet would be better for quietness, some furniture needs updating or replacing and blinds to the balcony door should be fixed along with lubricating noisy door hinges. The light in the bathroom was not working. Carpet on the spiral stairs would help with visibility, sound and safety for the comings and goings of occupants. All of the above comments are my recommendations and not criticism of the overall comfort of the room.

• Elizabeth (10/5): Relaxing, lovely, memorable. Thank you Lynne! - Have stayed at this property many times over the past several years and have loved the place each and every time. So comfortable, welcoming, lovely bay windows, loads of natural light, fabulous view, well equipped for everything you need. A lovely host, a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival, a great location - just far enough away from the crowds, and close enough to walk to a restaurant, with Dutchies Beach just across the road for swims. Perfect! Nothing! Just maybe a fan for these really hot days to save using the air conditioner, but this is not a big deal :-)
• Stephen (7/5): Lynne & her staff were very kind and attentive, but the building had significant flaws - leaky roof - The apartment was delightful - well furnished Well equipped kitchen Comfortably furnished The roof in the bathroom leaked water over the floor due to heavy rain over 3-4 days. The television was very unreliable and kept cutting out - due to a poor arial connection. There was no internet and as a result only free to air TV channels

• Jeanne (9/5): Charming, Comfortable, Excellent Location - We stayed in the Fairy House. Spacious, comfortable bed, comfy love seat sized couch, fireplace, exterior spa room that we didn’t use, and kitchenette. Right across the street is a public walkway to a path leading to great beaches all along the Bay. The steep spiral staircase to the bedroom: while it’s charming, it’s difficult to navigate - especially at night if you need to pee. The sun did stream in very brightly through the windows in the morning, even though they strategically placed a room divider screen in front of it, there was no escaping that intense light!

• Marie (10/5): Very romantic, cosy, quite getaway place. - Lovely suburban area, very homey, beautiful colorful detailed apartment. Feel the love when you walk in! There were cute windows on all sides, with beautiful breezes and views in upper apartment. And lovely covered deck for 2 people, with a bbq!! Just be aware, we stayed in lovely cindarella slipper apartment, there are stairs. Fine for us, but there is a ground apartment too.

Very private, nice livingroom with (partly) seaviews, nice bedroom, bath etc. The owner-lady Lynn put a wonderful personal touch to this place, … so I extended my stay ! Btw: opposite this place is a secret public walkway down to a pretty (private) beach called Dutchman‘s Beach !BEAUTIFUL ! Folks ! - book this place for your wonderful stay ! Honestly: perfect ! I had a look at the other two apartments: as well marvelous! Every one of them highly recommendable! Nothing bad, really

The windows were a feature to the room. Which was nice, Unfortunately it meant the sun coming up made it quite bright coming through. It was hard to sleep in a bright room. Also the special staircase was a bit hard going to the loo in the dark.

• Felicia (9/5): Quirky and gorgeous holiday cottage in a superb loation. - The Tinkerbell cottage is a quaint little cottage with a lovely beach cottage vibe. Reminded me of holiday homes I stayed in as a kid. Everything you need is there. Located right near the water and a picturesque walk into the heart of Nelson Bay. The host was fantastic, there had been a problem with our original room as the spa wasn't working and she upgraded us to the Tinkerbell cottage without fuss so that we still had a spa. I loved the quirky decorating - it really added to the feel of the cottage. Superb location - we will definitely stay again. No complaints at all.

The bed was extremely comfortable and we got to enjoy a beautiful and relaxing spa bath. Too many things to break. I couldn’t hold the window open in the bathroom for cool air while enjoying the hot spa.

• M (9/5): Lovely, Cosy, Comfortable - We stayed in the "Fairy House". Private, cosy, comfortable feel with open fireplace, loft bedroom via spiral staircase and enclosed spa room just outside in courtyard. Lovely garden. Plenty of firewood available. Some may suggest an update on the decor is needed, but I think it adds a bit of character and makes it feel more homely. Would definitely stay here again. Shower head needs replacing. Water came out as a fine mist that was piercing on the skin. And possibly a full length mirror.

We found the cottage had a great feel, and the original artwork gave the cottage a unique look it was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable, and the fireplace was fantastic with ample wood. • Jan (7/5): Good - This was our 2nd stay and unfortunately the people in the upstairs apartment( young men this time.... builders) were quite noisy overhead and woke us up at 5 30am getting ready for work. The first stay was much quieter.

• Terri (8/5): Very good - Great location. Quaint, cosy apartment. Perfect for 2 people for a couple of nights. Bed was comfy. We didn't realise that there were quite a few stairs to get up to the apartment. Bit tricky with a suitcase. No on-site parking, but the street was quiet enough to safely park on.
• Ali (10/5): If you’re seeking a cozy, enjoyable and warm place, you must hit the Tinkerbells Hideaway :) - The place is absolutely made by an artist, the different colours and decorations inside indicate a cozy, lovely and warm environment, with the fireplace and the spa in the cottage you need no more, facilities are clean and tidy, also there are many verandas where you can have a cuppa and enjoy the different views. The location is perfect where you can get to the shops in 3 mins by car, 10 mins will be the longest drive to enjoy any cool place at Nelson Bay. Everything is perfect but there is one thing when the outside lights turn on suddenly at night, it could bother if you’re watching a movie, anyway you can avoid it a bit by closing the curtains.

A quaint beach location experience! - Breakfast- not applicable; Location-superb access to beach front and walking links to a beach front pathway via steps or inclined road and also to the touristy shops and town centre for a relaxing getaway. Suited me well. Nothing! However the property is boutique and quaint- an experience with days gone by overtones. Better suited for mobility access. For me it suited perfectly.
• Laura (4/5): Loved the location however the property was very dirty - Amazing location Every piece of cutlery in the kitchen was dirty upon arrival. It was ironic as there was a sign on the fridge saying, if you leave any utensils out uncleaned, we will charge you $50. The air conditioner also made a loud banging noise every 20 minutes which made it impossible to sleep.

Had everything we wanted and more - exceeded our expectations - Great location, a short walk from the centre of port Stephens and a 2-3 minute walk from a quiet beach. The property was very clean, very homely, spacious, had comfy furniture and bed, as well as a nice outdoor balcony area. They had a large bath and shower, soap provided, towels provided and plenty of cooking equipment in the kitchen. I don’t have much to complain about, we were extremely happy with our stay. Some kitchen utensils weren’t great, but I’m not expecting anything amazing, and some of the drawers didn’t seem entirely clean.
