Guest Reviews
- Jett (8/5): we had a beautiful relaxing stress-free stay, would highly recommend to my friends and family - the breakfast was delicious, very fresh and the restaurant is amazing. the pillows were a bit hard.
- Anne (10/5): -
- Charmaine (8/5): -
- kim (10/5): I would recommend this place to family and friends - Breakfast was really good , it had lovely views from the restaurant windows, and the room was warm and comfortable. It was a cool day. On our arrival our room was lovely and warm. Over all the stay was wonderful.i
- Arthur (9/5): Great stay, great food, great staff and perfect location - The staff were brilliant, with special mention for Monica, Stephania and Robyn and Charlotte. The swimming pool is a little run down
- Erica (9/5): Fantastic will definitely stay again. - Beautiful property, we stayed in the main house for a family event and it was fantastic! All rooms were very spacious and had their own bathroom which was great. They went above and beyond to make our stay great. Only downfall was on the first night we were part of a large group and the dinner took a very long time and there were kids so that was a bit tough.
- Yury (10/5): -
- Danielle (8/5): Good venue, great restaraunt, lovely staff. Very good for couples but not twin bed requirements. - The location, view, breakfast and staff were all great We booked a twin room and found on arrival that there were not twin beds but one king bed and one, very ordinary and uncomfortable pull out sofa bed. As we were friends travelling together it was inappropriate for one of us to have a luxurious bed and one to have a bad bed. Most venues can split the king bed into two single beds to accommodate people better.
- Krafty Lady (9/5): Weekend away in Lancefield. - Julie was very helpful and called me before checkin to make sure if we arrived after 18.00 how to access our room. Very pleasant manner on our arrival. Breakfast was excellent. Great variety. The surrounding gardens are spectacular. If I had known I could have had the option to request a ground floor room. My vertigo didn't like the external stairs.
- Rowena (7/5): -
- Annette (10/5): Just a perfect place for a little getaway, and great location to Hanging Rock if you plan to visit. - The most perfect stay even for only one night. Room was nothing extravagant, but the view was just amazing and the spa bath just finished off a wonderful night after dinner at the restaurant. The food at the restaurant was 10/10, and a great buffet breakfast which was included in our room rate.
- Naomi (10/5): Fabulous, easy getaway and very relaxing. Thanks Glen Erin and staff 😊 - Facility was amazing, rooms were clean and warm on arrival, bed was comfy, full size bathroom with fresh towels daily, lovely view from room with a little seated area out the front. We went to the restaurant both nights and service, meals and ambience was 10 out of 10. There was an honour system for alcohol which was fabulous, we grabbed a bottle of wine and went back to our room to read a Book. It was cosy and there was a lounge area that you could sit and have a cuppa or wine with friends. I would definately return to this accommodation next time I'm in the area.
- Suzanna (7/5): Very helpful and friendly receptionist who realised we were disappointed but could not rectify for us. The booking page - Restaurant expected twin beds - unfortunately the second bed was a pull out sofa bed
- Bevan (9/5): -
- Jan (6/5): Okay to stay but don’t eat here. - Good location The dining experience was awful. The restaurant was only half full but at dinner we waited one and a quarter hours for our lukewarm $55 meals to arrive.
- Lyn (9/5): Peaceful stay - Peaceful, lovely staff.
- Maxine (10/5): -
- Lauren (10/5): It was great. Our whole extended family - At the wedding the waitering. At the accomodation cleaning staff were excellent.
Breakfast was great. Really liked that you kept the veggie hot food in its own vat.
- Greg (8/5): -
- Paul (8/5): -
- Peter (8/5): -
- Mathews (5/5): - Very clean Second bed was a pull out sofa with a thin mattress, slept on bars and springs. When we booked online it indicated the second bed was a single bed. The main bed was excellent.
- Denise (10/5): -
- Jennifer (9/5): Lovely surroundings in a perfect setting room bedding didn’t meet a twin room expectation. - The ambience and beautiful setting Menu at restaurant is limited breakfast was cold.
Twin beds are a king bed and thin mattress on a couch pull out bed king bed could have been split as it was two mattresses on two bases.
- Shannon (7/5): - Rooms were spacious and clean and bed was comfortable The pool are needs a lot of work. Lots of debris in the pool and the pavers/bricks around the Ed of the pool were mostly broken
- Brenda (10/5): Excellent service and lovely surroundings - Beautiful
- Siobhan (10/5): Amazing and hard working bar/ restaurant staff - Beautiful
- Anthony (9/5): -
- Bimal (10/5): -
- Robyn (8/5): -

- Steph (10/5): Picturesque views, spacious room, amazing dining - Beautiful location, nice and quiet, immaculate garden views and area. Restaurant in site with amazing food. Friendly, helpful, caring staff. Clean, and comfortable
- Xerri (10/5): I would highly recommend Glen Erin and we will be back - This is our second time back and we loved the variety and quality of the breakfast not applicable
- Katrina (9/5): Loved our stay so much we are coming back! - Great happy staff!
Wonderful breakfast
Comfy bed
Good restaurant
Grateful for the pool on a hot day! Nothing
- Rachael (9/5): - The pool was very refreshing espically on the hot day we went, and the beds were super comfy and the place was stunning Everything was good , couldn’t fault
- Sue (10/5): Beautiful setting - The staff were wonderful, the rooms very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Carrying a suitcase up and down stairs.
- Melissa (10/5): -
- Nerilee (10/5): We had a marvellous time. So relaxing and were very well looked after. - Everything was perfect. Staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything was there (no need to leave for supplies). Room was very clean. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. Nothing, couldn't fault anything.
- Sally (10/5): Fun and peaceful - Everything was so nice. The staff were incredible and I love the country scenery. Breakfast was yum as was the coffee. Perfect location for a wedding.
- Michael (8/5): A pleasant weekend at a winery hotel. - Breakfast was very good, room good with a king size bed. The TV remote did not work, I fitted batteries. Reception is not always staffed.
- Jay (10/5): - The breakfast was fantastic! The person on duty was so friendly and polite and made sure that all dishes were topped up regularly. Nothing at all.
- Jay (10/5): - The serene setting of the hotel. There was nothing .
- Melissa (10/5): Perfect last minute getaway from Melbourne - exceptional food and atmosphere - Lovely and homey, with a little bit of grandeur - absolutely loved it and will definitely be back for a country escape.
We enjoyed the games room - pool, darts and table tennis are available for all guests. There's a self-service (pay as you go) bar which we also enjoyed.
We then dined in for dinner, which was extremely good. The restaurant is wonderful and has a cosy atmosphere.
On the Sunday my partner had organised a picnic with the venue, which came with a wine tasting so we could pick out the wines to take on our picnic. Absolutely delicious food provided with the delicious wines. Sofa bed could have been a little comfier for the 3rd guest, but overall great stay.
- Xerri (9/5): We loved it so much we have rebooked and gifted a night to my sister and her husband - We were very impressed by the homemade cob and oil upon arrival. We loved the room the views and the amazing buffet breakfast There was only one thing we did not like and that was the aircon did not work and it was a very hot in the lovely room and there was no alternative to open the balcony door as there were no screens
- Jillian (10/5): I would highly recommend this place - Was easy to find and beautiful Nothing
- Tracy (10/5): A tranquil hidden Gem!! - We booked the cottage for our family get together for Xmas. It was great that we could be all together under the one roof. The rooms were spacious and we loved that all bedrooms had there own ensuite. As a whole we loved the location and the serenity of the place. On arrival we sat in the garden area of the restaurant and enjoyed a beautiful Chardonnay with bread and dips.
For dinner we dined in the restaurant. There is only one word to explain the menu and that was exceptional!! This place is a hidden gem and will be definitely going back to dine in. The only feedback I could give is the pool could have been cleaner for our swim.
- Edward (10/5): Fantastic, will return - Staff were amazing and super kind, considerate and went above and beyond
- Chels (10/5): Fantastic reception, breakfast and room. Such a beautiful place to stay. - Absolutely beautiful picturesque views of the vineyard. The stairs.
- Valeriya (9/5): - Great friendly staff and a very peaceful location. Free parking and a restaurant on site. Location is accessible by car only.
- Megan (9/5): Beautiful location - It’s a destination point and a beautiful one at that / the restaurant staff were great. It’s a place of being with the people your with It is a little tired but it’s beautiful as a location and suited every need. My biggest issue was I asked for twin beds not a bed and a sofa bed pullout and with my son with recent surgery on his shouldered the fact I checked on this was disappointing so I got the bad sleep
- Megan (9/5): Beautiful location - It is truly a beautiful destination and is one that you get time to relax and spend time with the ones you travel with. Service at restaurant was great and the view so peaceful. It is a little tired but I can imagine maintenance is expensive
- Michelle (9/5): -
- Lisa (10/5): Spectacular, relaxing, breathtaking and best place to recharge the batteries. Can’t wait to go back. - The staff were incredible, always willing to assist and support every request and any question. Absolutely amazing and outstanding customer service.
Beautiful facilities, wonderful breakfast to tip off our incredible visit.
- Jenny (10/5): - Beautiful gardens. Quiet and restful location. We played table tennis. Had an excellent dinner at the Glen Erin restaurant. The bedroom was spacious. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. I had conversations with other guests who were very happy with the accommodation and the lovely breakfast. Will definitely return. Loved everything
- Speakman (9/5): -
- Cuma (10/5): Hidden gem with country charm, you can’t help it relax - The old charm of the place was beautiful staff are extremely friendly and the facilities were great
- Tristan (10/5): Exceptional food, great location and views, realistic pricing. - Amazing food with innovative choices and top quality local produce. Location and views, cleanliness , friendly staff, large room. Well situated as a base to do day trips, lots of little extras such as games room, lounge with a good variety of drinks, areas indoors and outdoors to get together as a group. Perfect setup for group gatherings Yes it’s an older property but their accommodation prices realistically reflect that, if you need your polished marble foyer then maybe it’s not for you but if you want comfort, cleanliness and friendly staff you can’t go wrong.
- Sheree (8/5): -
- Michelle (6/5): -
- Nicole (10/5): -
- Debbie (9/5): - Our room was clean and inviting, the staff were friendly and attentive. The location was amazing. The experience was perfect.
- David (10/5): A fabulous stay just over an hour from Melbourne. Don't miss dinner at the restaurant! - Staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant - it was outstanding and the three courses would not have been out of place in a top end Melbourne CBD restaurant.
- Sue (8/5): -
- Geoff (9/5): Comfortable and enjoyable short stay - Clean, comfortable and in a beautiful location to be able to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We met friends for lunch at the restaurant and enjoyed a very pleasant long lunch with good food provided by friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend.

- Nicole (9/5): Glen Erin is a great place to visit, and we will be back. - Glen Erin is just gorgeous, and the gardens and vineyard setting is lovely. Nothing at all.
- jason (8/5): -
- Kayla (10/5): -
- Paul (8/5): -
- RF (10/5): A serene escape in the Macedon Ranges - well worth checking out - A lovely hotel surrounded by incredible gardens and scenery. Clean and spacious rooms. Easy to drive to the wineries, or nip into Woodend. The best thing? The great customer service from the front desk and hotel restaurant staff - they were so friendly and professional. It made our stay great.
- Moyra (8/5): Celebrated a friends wedding. It was a great weekend. An older property but well maintained, clean and comfortable. The - The layout and scenery. The staff were great. The pillows
- Christine (2/5): - This was my first time booking, and unfortunately, it was a nightmare. There was an error with the room listing that caused a great deal of stress before arrival. After spending time and effort to resolve the issue, the reception staff member on 1 Nov still gave us the wrong room at check-in. Her reasoning and explanation were unacceptable and did not make sense, just didnt feel right as a customer.
It was careless and unprofessional, especially after everything we went through to fix the booking problem at the start.
The accumulation of errors throughout the process was completely inappropriate completely ruined what was meant to be an enjoyable stay. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
- Robert (9/5): A weekend away for our Wedding Anniversary. - A pleasant surprise as we had not stayed in a Guest House before.
Freedom to come and go as we pleased.
A wonderful weekend away for our 56th Wedding Anniversary. All was great.

- Mann (10/5): It was an incredible weekend getaway! - Breakfast was amazing, and the view was incredible. The beds were comfortable and the spa was pretty great. The only thing that was not so good was the shower would go hot then cold periodically and not be a constant temperature.
- Srinivasan (8/5): - Good views from the room. Friendly staff and good breakfast
- Eusenio (10/5): -
- Theo (10/5): -
- Fiona (10/5): -
- John (10/5): -
- Elisha (9/5): Beautiful venue for a relaxing weekend retreat -
- Saha (7/5): - The calm and peaceful area to relax and unwind.
Staff and service was great.
Rooms were comfortable with all amenities. The outdoor balcony tables couod have been wiped and cleaned off dust so the guests can enjoy sitting outside in their balcony and enjoy a glass of wine and the cheese board. We wiped it ourselves. Just a feedback so it would have been a little easier for the guests to use it.
- Courtney (9/5): Little gem - Great staff, stunning gardens, super clean and tidy. Fresh bread loaf in room on arrival
- Sanda (8/5): - A peaceful escape surrounded by beautiful landscapes, birdsong, and wildlife like kangaroos and bunnies. Morning jogs through the hills were a highlight, and breakfast was fantastic. Unfortunately, the outdoor pool wasn’t clean during our stay, so we couldn’t use it.
- Hemmings (10/5): Thanks for having us...we will definitely be back. - We stayed at Glen Erin for the night and enjoyed a lovely walk along the road in the afternoon and a beautiful dinner and breakfast. The lounge was very comfortable and so was the accommodation.
- Jonathon (5/5): - The location was great, bread on arrival was nice, great to have a pool table. For a luxury accommodation the building/facilities were quite dated. Tiny TV's that are pretty useless. For the price charged, it's probably about due for a facelift/update.
- Eileen (10/5): My stay was everything and more than I expected! - Spectacular Everything was great especially the breakfast
- Alexandra (10/5): - Lovely location, looking out over the vines. Nice and quiet, woken with the birds chirping. Good sized room.
