Guest Reviews
- Eugene (8/5): -
- massimo (8/5): - appartamento ampio
zona molto tranquilla e vicino al centro
- Janis (9/5): Suited our purposes for a visit to Christchurch for 4 nights, will stay again. - The location was excellent, not many people staying and the garden was exceptional, my dog loved his walks around the grounds and there was plenty of surrounding park around. Four night stay to rest and recuperate after a lot of driving. Suitable for day trips to Akaroa, New Brighton, Lyttleton and Governors Bay. Good quick laundry too.
- Serena (10/5): Fantastic! - excellent location
- Katrina (7/5): - Nice large room. Not many food options nearby.
- Lyn (10/5): -
- Vin14 (9/5): - Close to the city, nice and quiet.
- Daphne (9/5): Highly Recommend - Very central would be great for families very quiet shower Shower was over bath having a hip replacement in couple months had to be extra careful when having a shower
- Sushmitha (10/5): -
- Jacquelene (9/5): Good value and comfortable - Comfy bed and spacious Nothing negative to write
- Diana (8/5): Lovely quiet location and great outdoor area. - Lovely quiet location. Great outdoor area with seats and bbq. Limited cooking facilities and sofa bed lounge uncomfortable to sit on.
- Ian (8/5): - It was quiet and the room was large. Facilities were good. Good to be able to use the washing machine and dryer. The notice in the room said if staying more than 3 nights room would be serviced, we stayed 5 nights and the room was not serviced. The heat pump was not very good until I got the filters down and gave them a clean then worked a treat
- Michael (8/5): Quiet, leafy site. - Quite roomy with plenty of space for clothes. Very quiet at night. Nice furniture. Great for dogs. Very noisy heat pump and shower controls need some attention.
- Doug (8/5): Comfortable Stay - Liked the location, nice and quiet. Unit was very clean and tidy. We had all that we needed. It was comfortable and roomy. Close to the shopping mall & eateries. Enjoyed our nights stay. In the bedroom with 2 single beds it was difficult to open the closet, the bed was too close to it.
- Leigh-Ann (6/5): - Nice quiet area and it is pet friendly which is great. There is a good playground for kids. The TV is small so hard to see picture and hard to watch from all seating areas in the lounge. No bath if you have young children. You aren't met by any staff you don't see any staff at all if you require assistance you have to ring them. They are very helpful if you do need to though.
- Warren (10/5): Delighted. A great oasis! - So well placed. Beautifully clean and well set out. No complaints
- Alison (7/5): Good clean motel unit in a handy location on a bus route to CBD, or a 10 min drive. - Motel is in good location, clean and comfortable, near to a bus route to the CBD, off street parking. Might be a little noisy when the next door sports fields are used, otherwise quiet as it's situated in a residential area. Comfortable beds, enough kitchen equipment for a short stay. A couple of hooks in the bathroom would be nice to hang clothes or a robe. The outdoor chairs could have done with a wipe down
- Shona & stuart (8/5): - Tidy spacious very warm and comfortable . Fantastic place for us with our two dogs Nothing
- Tracy (10/5): -
- Martina (7/5): -
- Lesley (9/5): - Was fantastic as ever, so great with dogs being right by the park. Fab facilities lovely and clean.
- Manja (8/5): -
- Darlesha (7/5): Ok place to rest your head for a few nights - Nice size rooms, off the road so nice and quiet, comfy couch, bed was very comfortable , kitchenette had everything needed. Shower was low pressure, didnt help that part that keeps shower head up was broken so had to shove it behind rail otherwise had to hold it. Carpet was very stained, room not very clean. No office, no staff so could tell no one.
- Sarah (8/5): Clean and comfy. - Two bedroom unit. Vomit stains on the floor in the lounge and bedroom.
- David (9/5): Very clean, spacious & comfortable & just what we needed for a 3-night stay. We were sorry to leave. - The two-bedroom apartment was clean, thoughtfully outfitted, spacious, quiet & surrounded by well-kept gardens. The beds were a little firm, so comfortable & just the way we like them. Bed linen was quality cotton & there was a generous amount of bathroom towels etc provided. Quite well-located, with the city centre & Papanui Road restaurants all within about 10 minutes by car. (Not sure about the motel’s proximity to public transport, though). Overstuffed lounge suite was a little shabby & took up a lot of room unnecessarily.
- Laura (9/5): - Really nice and clean, plenty of space, lots of useful furniture and had everything we needed. Plenty of linens supplied and heat pump was great. Good areas for doggies a d has large field and playground next door for kids and dogs to run around in. Free washing machines and dryers added bonus. Happily stay again. Really good value for money. Only con was that the parking was out the front - had to lug bags etc prob 50m back and forth. And when raining was a bit of a sprint with baby pram bags etc.
- Marianne (10/5): -
- Piotr (10/5): Great value! - Clean and comfortable
- Michael (8/5): Good accommodation with better than expected facilities. - Big, comfortable apartment like room with comfortable beds. Quiet location reasonable close to shops and restaurants (by car) No complaints really.

- Walker (6/5): Comfortable - Private, pleasant. Noise frm local establishments
- Cheyenne (9/5): -
- Lorraine (9/5): Real gem - Very spacious unit, surprisingly handy to many places. Laundry with washer and dryer available at no cost. And really quiet peaceful location. TV was too small for the size of the room.
No office/reception, but staff were easy to reach by phone.
- fbl31 (9/5): - Très bon établissement, très propre et calme. Pas d'accueil sur place mais personnel très réactif au téléphone.
- Ray (7/5): -
- Stacey (7/5): - Accommodating of our large family group across 3 units. Handy location, good size units and comfortable beds. Unfortunately housekeeping and cleanliness let us down this time, but not enough for us not to return as this place was a fab setup for our family, especially the kids.
- Jodie (10/5): -
- Stacey (9/5): Enjoy the unit with the staff able to look after my luggage due to us arriving early - Location and having 2 rooms and cost
- Tayler Baumber (9/5): -
- Zavier (3/5): Felt dirty couldn’t wait to leave! Would of left earlier if we didn’t spend almost $400 - Nice outside area, close to a park Dirty, my child found used ear buds in one room, the bathroom roof was moldy, the bottom of toilet door was filthy with dust, hair and rubbish ! Went to use plates and cutlery and they were all dirty had to wash before we ate. There was a weird ugly stain right outside the bathroom floor. Bathroom was just gross.
- Maryanne (8/5): -
- Kellor (10/5): - The unit we stayed in was clean and tidy. The beds were very nice and comfortable. Very peaceful setting There were a couple of drinking glasses that were a little dirty and one of the switches by jug was faulty.
- Deidre (10/5): - Very quiet site, Spacious living room and bedrooms. Clean and comfortable. Good outdoor area. Plenty of parking. Nothing
- Angela (8/5): Spacious, comfortable and value for money - It is an older style apartment with lots of space. Large shower/bathroom and separate toilet. Big rooms and high ceilings, so not stuffy.
Very comfortable.
It was in a nice area to walk around and 5km return walk to the Palms Shopping Centre The carpark was not outside our apartment. It was about 50 metres away, but I didn’t have security concerns.area.
- TINGWEI (10/5): 自助式入住,附近非常安静祥和。门口停放着一堆共享滑板车,使用它们到市中心会更加方便。 - 非常安静
- Priya (8/5): Very comfortable stay beautiful Location - Beautiful location and clean Kitchenette was average
- Sangha (5/5): - 위치가 좋았습니다.
붐비지 않고 조용한곳입니다. 샤워시설의 물 온도 조절이 쉽지 않았습니다.
- Annette (7/5): Reasonably priced place to stay, outside central city to be ready to go north the next day. - Quiet location with good beds. We were able to access our streaming provider and watch a movie in the evening. Could not park right beside unit. We had boxes of cooking things to take inside and it was pouring rain. I know you can't control the weather. ;)
- Robyn (7/5): -
- Vera (9/5): Excellent stay. - The room fulfil my expectation - it was quiet, clean, and warm. Everything was perfect, thank you!
- Paul (8/5): Hidden gem - Unusual style of motel. Units are arranged around a small central garden in a very out of the way setting. The BBQ needed some updating and repairs to the shelter.
- Ngaroimata (10/5): - I loved the hassle free check in room was ready for us we got a txt to let us know. The rooms were very clean facilities quiet and in town.
- Vera (9/5): Our favourite place to stay in Christchurch. - Great and quiet place, fantastic location.
- Tony (8/5): -
- Anthony (6/5): - very guiet abit older but clean quiet
- Beata (7/5): -
- paola (8/5): -
- Susan (9/5): Excellent value for money - two bedrooms it was as I expected
- Mark (6/5): Great value and awesome staff - Very reasonable price, great location and spotlessly clean Lots of groups of foreign student rugby players were also staying who made a lot of noise and monopolised the laundry facilities. Also, it was a long walk to the carpark carrying luggage but the staff kindly lent us a trolley which made it easier.
Communal BBQ and table were filthy.
- Fairgray (8/5): -
- Grant (8/5): Nice and quiet for a short stay. Offers BBQ facilities too - Spacious interior and two separate bedrooms off living area. There isn’t an office onsite so it would be helpful to be informed that customers will need to ring to get their unit number. Only a small issue.
Perhaps screens on selective windows would be a nice addition too so windows could be open without letting in insects.
- chih-yi (8/5): -
- Mithundas (9/5): - Calm, clean place and rooms
- syedzulqernain (9/5): A very good one night stay - The location is very good.
The check in and check out process very smooth.
- Stephen (9/5): Good short stay accommodation - Good location, quiet, has everything you need. Beds very comfortable. N/A
- Kerry (7/5): - Had all that we required. Comfortable beds. Water pressure weak in shower.
- Matt Wallis (9/5): Perfect for young families - The quiet environment and that safe feeling for our kids. They could run around outside our cabins with no fear of cars. The shower pressure needs some work.
- Murray (7/5): another pleasent and enjoyable stay, #4 I think. - Great to finally have net curtians put up
- Martin (9/5): Home away from home. -
- Steve (7/5): Good overall. - Clean, tidy, comfortable, quiet although the walls were thin so we were lucky not noisy people in adjoining unit. Tennis court. Nice grounds/trees. Location pretty good. Plastic kettle; who wants to boil their water in one of those things. Cars are parked away from units in public access area. If it’s raining then that distance from your car can be a big inconvenience. No on site staff or little shop for necessities.
- Liu (10/5): -
- Sherin (10/5): -
- Mike (9/5): very warm and comfortable ,thanks - everything was excellent , very impressed. will stay again when coming to Christchurch additional power points in bedroom . Couldn't use electric blanket and bedside light at same time (in double bedroom)

- M (8/5): -
- Cristy (8/5): -
- Ivy (7/5): -
- Michael (9/5): -
- Andrea (10/5): Fantastic, family-friendly motel - We were sad we only stayed for one night on our way north. We would have loved to stay longer. This is a charming out of the way motel, tucked into the burbs. The units are individual, with a lovely courtyard, chairs to relax out the front of each unit, BBQ area, parking, oval and small playground across the carpark, access to tennis courts and laundry. The rooms were well supplied with plenty of blankets and towels. Access to Sky channels was also appreciated, which we watched in the comfortable leather lounge suite. The communication from the staff was excellent and check-in/check-out couldn't have been easier. We'd love to come back and stay again. Absolutely nothing, we had a very comfortable stay.
- Jo (8/5): -
- Janet (8/5): Overall the unit exceeded our expectations and we will happily stay there again. - The spaciousness of the rooms, including the bathroom. Very quiet. The toilet was rather smelly
- Veronika (9/5): -
- Sharleen (8/5): - Great space for a few days away
- Daniel (9/5): -
- Lap Yan (10/5): A comfortable and pleasant stay - Very clean and tidy.
- Paul (5/5): - Quiet location. Staff helpful by email/text. Not the fault of the property but places to eat nearby are limited if you don’t want to go to the city centre.
- Matt (8/5): The place to stay in Christchurch for families - A great motel in a picturesque location handy to almost everything in Christchurch. With a big park and playground onsite, it’s well suited to families with kiddos. The beds in our unit left little to the imagination and we had to go and purchase mattress topper pads to get a comfortable sleep unfortunately
- Richard (9/5): A little tired, but overall a lovely place to stay. - This was our last accommodation at the end of a long trip and were here for 3 nights. The room was spacious with two seperate bedrooms. Was lovely to have a small carton of milk in the fridge along with tea and coffee ready for our arrival. It was a bit impersonal in that you didn't meet anyone, having to check in over the phone, which could cause an issue if you had a very late check in. We cooked on the barbeque outside and despite thinking there was no other cooking facilities, it wasn't until our last night that we looked at the back of one of the cupboards and found the pans and table top hob!!!!
It is close to the city and those without a car, or who fancy a change to transportation, there are always plenty of e-scooters about and the apps can be downloaded onto non NZ phones without an issue. The free laundry was well received, especialyl with the inclusion of clothes driers too. Although the space was lovely, the outdoor barbeque was a little disappointing in that it was quite dirty. Appreciating that the guests using it should clean it after use, this can never be replied on, and a weekly clean would have been useful by the staff here to keep it in a more presentable way. We did have to clean off a lot of grease and grime before using it for the first time. The accommodation is looking a little 'tired' and so could do with a bit of a refit. Our carpet had a circular burn mark on it from a previous guest which looked like from a hot pan. The shower control was very hard to control and took a while to attain a comfortable temperature.
- Loper (7/5): Basic wee place - Was a great basic wee place, we didn't spend alot of time here, only in the evening as we were out and about all day. Some things a getting run down, pot and pans, some small holes in walls, but was fine for basic needs.
- Tony (8/5): -
- Walsh (7/5): -
- Robert (9/5): -
- conway (8/5): - Comfortable bed Lounge suite could be updated
- peter (8/5): Will stay again great place. - All went well with our stay.
- Joanne (7/5): - The living room bathroom and 2 bedrooms one with a doubled bed and 2 single beds were very spacious and clean. Towels, face towels and hair dryer were provided. The shower tap knob/label was loose.
- Paul (8/5): Great value for money - Safe , quit area. Good parking. Well maintained grounds. Clean and comfortable accomodation. Good value for money.
