On the water & walking distance to all shops & restaurants Didnt like the fact that the unit had to be cleaned & left in original condition. ( or we would loose deposit) I like to have a holiday with no cleaning. Most places I have stayed only expect dishes done & rubbish out.

The villas are spotless, modern, and beautifully set up, with a relaxed coastal feel that instantly makes you feel at home. The location is fantastic — quiet and peaceful, yet only a short walk or drive to the beach, cafés, and shops. The pet-friendly aspect is genuinely thoughtful rather than tokenistic. Our dog was clearly welcome, with secure outdoor space and easy access for walks, which made the stay stress-free and enjoyable for the whole family. It’s rare to find accommodation that balances high standards with true pet friendliness, but Saltwater Villas nails it. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the overall layout felt spacious and private. Communication from the hosts was excellent — friendly, clear, and responsive — making check-in and the entire stay seamless. It’s the kind of place you immediately want to return to. Comfortable, calm, impeccably maintained, and perfect for families or couples travelling with pets. We honestly couldn’t fault it.

In addition, our studio B faced studio A like two bedrooms of a top floor town house would. The managers / owners have my feedback directly. Choose to stay based on your own research. I understand and support many small businesses. However... this one might be my rare one on booking.com that doesn't get my vote.

- Wilson (9/5): It was still a lovely place to stay and would recommend it in a heartbeat. - We enjoyed our stay and found the lady we spoke to was very helpful. Sadly, we forgot my husbands jacket but they kindly forwarded it to us for a small fee which was greatly appreciated. The bathroom was a little cramped, it's a shame the toilet wasn't a bit more central as there was the room for it. Having the guest laundry next to our room was a little noisy. The shower floor was a little slippery but I put the hand towel down to help even though that got a saturated, but we hung it up to dry.

- Annie (10/5): Quiet, clean and perfect location. - Selected this property due to location- short 10 minute walk into CBD and water views. A bonus was having it be pet friendly. All communication was the host was seamless and easy. I have a SUP and could easily launch from the jetty and the canal was very quiet to paddle on. The beds were soft and the pillows comfortable. Wifi and Netflix was a great addition, no issues with connection or quality. Loved the added details in the welcome pack that had all dog friendly cafes and places to take the pooch.

I wasn’t aware that my elderly dog and I would need to walk up 32 extremely steep stairs to get into the unit. Hardly appropriate for visitors with disability and sogs. Should have warned about the stairs and lack of space for dogs to toilet.

Handy location, park your car & walk into Mooloolaba beach - Great location, exceptionally clean & friendly easy to communicate with staff. While it is an older building it has been beautifully refurbished. We were in one of the upstairs studio rooms. The stairs were tricky for us to navigate with 2 dogs & luggage. As it is an older building sound does tend to travel & while our dogs are not barkers they were on high alert hearing people moving around.

Air-con downstairs heated the place well - good outdoor spaces. No dryer in unit but the host responded quickly after hours to advise there was a communal dryer available (at no cost). Quick response time was great.

It’s in a great location and only about 5 minutes walk to the Mooloolaba esplanade where all the cafes and restaurants are. Also great to have our dog able to stay with us. Very comfortable. I arrived and left when no staff were around. Not really “pet friendly” for $50 a night. I was aware charges may be payable but $50!? Lots of stairs to navigate with a dog was awkward.

The pool overlooking the river was a nice spot to relax. the beach and main strip is about a 300m walk, so everywhere is very accessible. The small fenced area gave her freedom and made toileting easy. The needs and caring for your dog during the stay has definitely been considered when making these available as pet friendly. Will definitely be back!

It would have been great to have a proper door/curtain so the floor don't get flooded and floor towels don't get soaked

- Graham (8/5): Our stay was delightful and Saltwater Villas lived up to expectations. - The location was marvellous and we managed to explore Mooloolaba extensively. Tara was a great help and so friendly. The studio apartment was great but my side of the bed was a little saggy and I needed both pillows to support my neck.

- Kebbeth (6/5): - nothing like the pics, extra charge of $50 for our dod, this should have been made clear on the booking page, $350 for this property is a lot ☹️ We booked this property late as we got tired on the drive north, we paid for a better room and we were expecting to see some water or the pool, but had a clean well kept room over a main road, in the suburbs. Sorry

- Paul (6/5): - Was on a road trip heading north with my dog and needed a place to rest our heads for the night, this was the only place in the area that was available. I paid over $300 for 1 night. The room was pretty small. They also say they are pet friendly, however were very clear with me that my dog wasnt allowed on any furniture, and if there was any fur found on the bed I'd have my deposit taken. How can a person this when they are asleep? They say it's because they rent their linen, okay, then why say you're pet friendly when you have such a restrictive rule in place? Overall the room was fine, clean and had what we needed, but for over $300 a night, i expected a lot more.
