• Oldcarlovers (5/5): Not one of our best stays! - Location was good, bathroom and shower good, kitchenette good, quiet location and adequate parking, friendly and helpful cleaning staff. Arrived at motel at the required time and was sent sms with keysafe details. Unfortunately, there was an issue with getting the door key and rang several phone numbers which had only recorded message. After one and a half hours waiting outside and cleaners on-site trying to help (which was appreciated), a representative accessed the reception area and managed to obtain the keys. I advised this was not good enough. Obviously, the keysafe idea is fraught with problems and no recompense offered!

• David (6/5): A great central motel, good base to stay. - The motel is well located, a short walk from shops, bars & restaurants, on site parking is good, quiet at night so slept well. We stayed a couple of nights, it was a good base for us as we explored Queanbeyan and Canberra. Note in evenings it is a self check in motel, not staffed, we had no problem with this, instructions were clear but it may not suit all.

• Okan (4/5): Average this time around... especially at a premium price - We've stayed before and were looking for the same experience. I like the layout of the previous room we stayed in, conveniently close to everything. The front door key was a bit hard to open, you had to pull the handle towards yourself to get the key to turn. The kitchen floor was slightly greasy and the vent that sucks up the fumes just went straight back into the room and not outside that cause the side cooking wall to get wet inturn wetting the floor making it slippery to walk on. There's no washing basket to hold the dishes for drying.

• Lorraine (8/5): Great range of room types, walking distance to the main CBD - This is the 3rd time I've stayed at River Motel for the Queanbeyan Mediaeval Fair. Each time I've needed a different room type and there are always suitable options available. The room was clean and quiet, and had everything necessary. Location is perfect. I checked in after the office was closed and initially had trouble finding the room as it was round the back and there was no map. Also it wasn't clear where to park so it was a bit if a walk with suitcases. The outside hall light was also not working.

• Ursula (9/5): Second time staying here & stay there again. Good nights sleep. - Location, ease of parking, comfortable bed Nowhere to put shampoo etc other than the window ledge which everything slid off once it got wet. Cups were extremely small.

• Adam (4/5): Nice comfortable and convenient stay, but don’t get room 22. - The location is great and normally good value for money. I have stayed here before and it was great but this time I was out in room 22 which has only a tiny frosted window so no natural light. All of the walls had water drip marks from I’m guessing the condensation from the aircon being on during the cold winter months, and no natural air flow without a window.
• Dale (9/5): The room was clean and comfortable - Yes the property was extremely close to the town centre and easy access to the town by walking Nothing the staff were really friendly and helpful And would definitely stay there again in the future
