• Kathy (5/5): It served the purpose of a bed for the night and close to the ferry - It was close and very easy to get to the tasman ferry next morning The rooms were very basic and not as represented in photos BUT the room was clean, warm and tidy and served the purpose. Nearly forgot, there was only luke warm water in the shower, some hot water would have been nice.

The room was exceptionally comfortable and a lovely bed along with tea, coffee and a toaster . Could not fault it. Very happy.

I arrived exhausted only to find three strangers already in my assigned room. Dealing with this took hours of back-and-forth, draining me physically and mentally. Just when I thought things were resolved, the next day was even worse. The hotel mistakenly checked me out, confused my name with another guest, and cleared ALL my belongings without my consent. They threw away my toothbrush and toothpaste, and I lost a sock. Most devastatingly, a sentimental hair clip given to me by my mother is now missing. To the staff, these might just be "minor items," but to me, they are irreplaceable and hold great sentimental value. Throwing away a guest’s property without notice is a severe invasion of privacy and an insult to my dignity. When I confronted them, they simply said they were "helpless," showing zero accountability and no real remorse. No room upgrade can compensate for the emotional distress of having my personal life treated like trash. To make matters worse, they even disputed my cash payment, claiming I hadn't paid for both nights. Whether this was due to gross incompetence, staff burnout, or discrimination, I am left deeply scarred. I chose this place for the good reviews, but I would give anything to have had a stress-free stay instead of this ordeal. Do not stay here if you value your belongings or your privacy.

It was very quiet (late March) but would not like to stay when v busy as bathroom provision is v poor for the number of guests. Bathroom provision poor for number of rooms.

The hotel food was excellent, and the amenities were well-equipped with everything you could need. Unfortunately, the night was quite noisy, with people shouting late at night and disturbances around 12–1 am, including loud door slamming and phone noise.

My room reeked of a too strong air freshener plugged into a power point. It triggered coughing and itchy irritated eyes. Removed and placed in cupboard, getting scent on hands and clothing, necessitating sleeping with window open onto noisy road. Clothing still stank of it 2 weeks later, had to bag item whole holiday. Small thing proved really irritating.
