• Emmanuel (3/5): Tolerable - Beach location was beautiful. But what they advertised and what we got were 2 different things. No parking facilities provided. We spent a while trying to park outside. The y advertised a room with a bath, didn't get one. Not worth the price we paid. No lift, what happens when a disabled person comes? Reception was not always there. Had to go into the pub to get answers.

• MCNAMARA (3/5): Very poor with rude reception and no parking and below standard meals. Small room for the price paid - Location is great, room was very small given the price. Meals were very average and parking was very limited. Parking is metered and monitored by parking inspectors. Meters are from 1 hour to 2 hours maximum. No hotel parking. The price for what we had is very average. Reception staff was unprofessional and rude. We had to come back and ask for the wifi and then has to request for it to be written down. Should have been made available at check in. Overall a very average hotel for the money paid. As above

Rooms on the smaller side . If not great stay. Staff professional. Noisy on main road and on top of 1 restaurants.

You end up parking in a side street close to the pub which is typically vacant only at night and allows all day parking without incurring a cost.

A special mention to housekeeping for making it feel like home. Already looking forward to coming back—this time for the ocean view Nothing at all

Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking can be a bit of a problem. There is no private parking so you have to battle for a spot in a small area (around 10 spaces) with the rest of Cottesloe. We struggled initially to get a spot when we first checked in. Felt a little dated and in need of redecoration. No breakfast option (though there are some good local cafes so not a problem).

There is some limited free parking adjacent the hotel but it is always full. The rest of the parking is is paid and limited to 3h
• Ellen (4/5): - The hotel itself is in a pretty good location. It is across the road from a beautiful beach and a great spot to see the sunsets. It may have been this weekend that was particularly disorganised, but that was our experience from our stay, which was unfortunate. There was no one on reception when we arrived, but once we asked at the bar, someone did our check in. We stayed in one of the interior rooms, and the vents that were outside the window were noticeably loud, and once we discussed with the manager (although initially they appeared a little annoyed) they did facilitate a room change which we appreciated. We went to the reception the following morning to ask about using their bikes, but there was no one there and the cleaner advised me no one arrived yet, although it was after the hour that the reception said it was open. The cleaner kindly tried to help with sorting bikes but couldn't find the code for the locks, so we werent able to use them. When we came back an hour later there was still no one at reception. The room itself was relatively comfortable. There were stains on the carpet and curtains, and the UHT milk in the room was out of date several months. Other than that the stay itself was fine, although I would be unlikely to stay there again. The location was the best part of the accommodation- if you want to be on the beach, it is ideally situated.

No lift to help with heavy cases appreciate it’s an old building though. Maybe could have more wardrobe space or drawers?

Either had to get lucky and snag a park on the nearest side street or head two streets over to get any parking. False advertising there that needs to be corrected.

• Graham (6/5): Disappointing - The staff were all very helpful and were excellent. The balcony was better than expected and had a partial sea view. The room was tiny with a small bed and a very small bathroom. We appreciate that this is an urban seaside hotel but it was a poor room and expensive compared with our stay at The Coogee Bay Boutique Hotel when recently in Sydney.

• Kevin (10/5): - Great location, close to bars restaurants and the beautiful beach. We had a balcony which was a great place to chill, watch the world go by and see the sea. At night you could hear the sea if you opened the balcony doors which was lovely. Fresh bean to cup coffee making facilities were available free of charge throughout your stay what was located just down the hall from your room. It was kept replenished and immaculate throughout our stay. Great bar downstairs with a good selection of beers / drinks and food available. Great staff, nice welcome at reception and nice atmosphere throughout the hotel. Would definitely visit again. Nothing, we loved it.

• RP (7/5): Nice location, some things could be improved - Check staff extremely helpful. Great location. Check-in wasn't great, a bit brusque and lacking in info, e.g. the nice system of free coffee at the bar for guests wasn't mentioned..Quite expensive given no breakfast (why don't you privide at least say coffee, juice and croissants for guests in their rooms). Decor/rooms starting to look a little tatty in places. I think the rating this hotel gets on booking is about right.

• helen (3/5): disappointing! - We were told by staff on checking in that we could park our cars in the car park across the road in the 3 hour parking bay and it would be ok until 10am the next morning. Our friends and I arrived at our cars before 10am and had both received $100 fines! The 2 rooms were very small with no view apart from the noisy building services aircon unit which kept me awake and at $310 a night for each room it was not worth, plus a $200 fine! very disappointing, we would not recommend to anyone !

• Emily (9/5): Awesome beachside stay! - We've stayed at The Cott Hotel many times over the years and not a lot has changed. We absolutely love the location and vibe, and David at the desk was awesome - he shared lots of helpful advice and what hotel extras are offered like free bikes, sups and beach umbrellas. The ease of the place as well as the bustling bars, surrounding restaurants and incredible beach will have us stay again and again. xx

• Julie-anne (3/5): Terrible - The location is fabulous We were told at check in to enjoy the restaurant The Beach club. We paid $400 for 1 night at the hotel and were really looking forward to a wonderful dinner. We ordered our food at 6.09 pm my husband got his meal at 6.20. At 6.45 after my husband had already finished his meal I was still waiting. I asked the staff who got a manager who was very rude. After another 10 minutes she came and told us my food had never been ordered. But she refunded it. By this time it was 7pm. She offered us 1 drink as compensation there was 2 of us? Absolutely ruined our evening
• Matthew (5/5): A disappointing property in a great location. - The location is fantastic. The room was extremely small. The bed was very small but comfortable. Everything is aged. But most of all, there is no parking despite the property claiming there is. There is on-street parking with very limited spots available, the remainder being 3-hour time limited spots 24 hours a day, so unless you manage to secure an unrestricted spot on the street, of which there are about 10, forget it. This aspect of the property was very misleading.

• Clayton (10/5): Impeccable stay, friendly staff, superb location at the beachfront - Unbeatable location right on the beachfront in Cottesloe. Friendly staff who accommodated our every need. THE place to stay. The rooms are on the small side but the balconies are large.

• Andrew (1/5): Overpriced, tired badly in need of updating! - Good location across from the beach, food in Verandah Bar was good otherwise very disappointing and for the price paid per night taking advantage of position opposite the beach. Facilities in the room were very substandard - 1 towel rack in bathroom, shower curtain stained at bottom and was short of the floor so water went all over the floor. In 3 days only 1 day with hot water so cold showers - not appropriate! Bedroom cramped with nowhere to put suitcases, hanging space small with 2 coat hangers only, carpet stained in a number of places, top sheet stained, single adjoining door allowed noise to easily be heard from next door- in other words we have stayed in $120.00/per night accommodation on many occasions that were far superior to this accommodation. This is overpriced, tired and we cannot recommend in any way - disappointed!

• Cummins (9/5): Excellent Hotel, great location and fantastic staff throughout! - We were there for a work Xmas Party so stayed an extra night. The facilities and staff were excellent. The location is amazing We only stayed for 2 nights, but if we had of been there for more then there was not a lot of clothes storage.

• Adrian (10/5): Last night in Cottesloe - The staff were amazing, very attentive, very helpful. The location was superb. Also the little hidden treats were great (free coffees at the bar, free use of sun chairs). Great little hotel Not a negative, but just a word of guidance for anyone coming with a car - 30 minutes free parking right outside the hotel, any longer and you'll get ticketed! The only free parking is on one of the side streets beside the hotel, but there are only a few spaces and they get snapped up quick

• astone (8/5): Lovely old-school beach hotel - Great location on across the street from a beautiful beach. Many dining options nearby. Rooms are over an active bar. Be sure to have a white noise app or machine. Rooms are small. Not a lot of space for luggage. Sharon was a good housekeeper. Her successor was not. We had to catch her to get our room made up. Front desk did not seem to be around much, but were helpful when present.
