Guest Reviews
- patb912leeds (8/5): Beautiful cottage style building and locked courtyard. - This B & B is in a quaint, gated area. Unlucky for us, we were in the Duyfken attic room, facing the back which when sitting out on the balcony looks onto a brick wall, described as Inner courtyard view. I knew before booking we had stairs to climb because this is mentioned but didn't realise there would be so many. Pictures don't show the two narrow staircases with about 13 steps on each staircase. Had I seen pics of these I would not have booked because we are two, older, female friends travelling together and it would have been very difficult getting the cases up all these stairs. It was bad enough coming down them with the cases. Luckily, when we arrived a neighbour, who works for the owner at another location, helped us with the luggage. If you read this, thank you. We spent four nights here but never saw a cleaner or receptionist. Every day we had continental breakfast delivered for the next day but one day the milk wasn't left and the cups weren't changed. The room was very small when beds are split into twins. The bathroom door didn't shut but it was a good size bathroom. The room really did need a deep clean, carpet is patched. It could be a lovely room if these things are put right. Beautiful building. Everything is there that you need for a short stay. Exceptional location, just off Market Street which is full of shops, restaurants and bars. Five minute walk to the station, the beach and harbour. I have given four starts because these negatives can be corrected and it's a great place to stay.
- B9771LUkeithf (10/5): A great find! - A great find! A lovely room with a very comfortable bed. AC and ceiling fan was most welcome as it was a hot day. The location is great as it is so walkable. Good advice was given about where to go, eat, park etc. We parked right outside after 5pm and paid the $7 evening fee and left before 9am which was easy and great. Continental breakfast on the balcony was nice. Highly recommended.
- C3582OZkellyh (10/5): A great find - The location was excellent, close to lots of restaurants and the market and many sites.
The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was perfect. Fruit, yogurt, granola and milk, along with a couple slices of banana bread and orange juice. I would definitely stay here again.
- SomiLondon (8/5): Great location but not perfect - Lovely location and a pretty first floor room overlooking the courtyard. Comfortable bed and good breakfast in the fridge. Could hear every movement from floor above. Shower tray was so slippery and all was rather faded. But a nice enough place to stay.
- dennisnP2212CL (10/5): Very Special Place in the heart of Freo - Stayed in the Leeuwin room that had expansive views over rooftops taking in the ferris wheel, ocean glimpses from the balcony. The courtyard and fountains really make this place special. Very secure. A bonus is the wonderful Whisper Wine Bar just outside the front gate. Very close to other cafes and restaurants and pubs on South Tce and also the Freo Market.
- geoffg830 (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Lovely place to stay. Felt a bit like a southern European getaway with the wine bar next door and really good restaurants on the same street. The rooms at the front with a balcony that overlooks the courtyard are the ones to go for I think. Breakfast was nice too.
- oliviadH9074NZ (10/5): Fremantle Escape - I had previously walked past this B&B and immediately looked it up to book for the next time I was in Fremantle. My mum and I only stayed one night, but everything was absolutely what we needed and more. The courtyard and building are beautiful, and the rooms are very clean and contain everything you need. Check in/out was smooth, and the staff were lovely. The view from the balcony over the courtyard and out onto the port was absolutely stunning, and the location is very close to the station. Inside the room, there was a complimentary breakfast which was both more than we were expecting and absolutely delicious. The only caveat is that to access the rooms, there is quite a narrow, steep stair case. This is mentioned by the property, but definitely would not be accessible for anyone with large or heavy luggage, or mobility issues. This place is such a find and we will be recommending it to everyone we know!!
- TomkarAdelaide (10/5): Loved our stay - Walking through the gates into the courtyard with its brick paving, stone buildings, water feature and abundance of greenery was like being in a town in France.
Check in was so easy and memories of Europe flooded back as we climbed the narrow stairs to the second floor.
The room itself was well appointed with extremely comfortable bed, en-suite, fan, a/c, TV, bar fridge and fabulous small balcony with table and chairs overlooking the gorgeous courtyard.
Thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast of fruit salad, yogurt, crunchy cereal, yummy banana bread and juice.
Location within walking distance of so many places of interest, eateries and bars.
We parked in a council car park at the end of the road which was convenient and very safe.
Will definitely stay again the next time we visit Fremantle.
- terryfX7743RC (10/5): Loved staying here! - We loved staying here! Very comfortable room and bed with wonderful breakfast. Balcony looked into a courtyard that was lovely! The place had lots of character! The owner and the young lady running the B&B were amazing. Fantastic location, close to the Freemantle market, the Freemantle prison and waterfront!
- O117DTsamb (8/5): Nice B&B - Nice B&B. Good location. Breakfast was in the room, yoghurt, granola, fruit, juice, banana bread and hot drink.
Room was smaller than expected, but had everything we needed.
We stayed on the second floor so you need to take this into account getting luggage to the room.
- TrailBlazer96325 (10/5): Cozy and quiet - Location is perfect - so close to everything in beautiful Fremantle
I arrived late in the evening - a key was left for me with clear instructions on entering etc
The room had a delicious lil breakfast ready in the fridge fresh fruit, juice and banana bread and also coffee etc
A nice lil balcony to enjoy it all in the morning
I have stayed here before and definitely will again
- 746carolw (10/5): Peaceful night in a central location - Freemantle Port Mill B&B is very centrally located - very close to the markets, fisherman's harbour, prison, restaurants, ferry terminal and other points of interest. The setting, in a courtyard, is secure and peaceful and despite the lively nightlife close by, offers a quiet night and a good sleep. Communication was good and there were flexible arrangements and times for access. We were able to leave our cases there after checking out while we explored . The room was clean and the breakfast left in the fridge for us was very good. Jayden was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our brief stay.
- W7611EMjanetf (10/5): Great place to stay. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was tasty. - Port Mill is close to many cafes and restaurants and so convenient. Itâs a pretty place and I would recommend it. The only downside is the stairs are steep.
- mariahZ2198JN (10/5): Hidden Gem - What a quirky little place, clean rooms, comfy bed and great location. Perfect little getaway place, will definitely stay again!
- Elizabeth (10/5): Great place - Really helpful team - lovely building close to sights with great breakfast in your room which means you can set off early to explore the area. Highly recommend
- Jeffrey (10/5): Great place! - Had a great stay here while exploring Fremantle
- Explore59842579137 (10/5): Favourite place to stay in Fremantle - My favourite place to say in Fremantle when travelling through. It's the perfect spot to stay, with responsive and very helpful hosts, clean and very comfortable rooms - great breakfast, and perfectly situated for all Freo has to offer. I stay here as much as I can!
- kazza1970 (10/5): Fremantle Gem! - The hospitality, the rooms, the communication are all terrific. Great location to visit all the must-see sights of Fremantle. Close to restaurants, cappucino strip and bars, all within walking distance. 10 minute walk from train station makes it easy to commute to/from airport or Perth! Highly recommend staying here. Note, stairs to rooms no elevator available.
- victoriaeY117VE (10/5): Cosy stay at Port Mill - We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Port Mill . The accommodation was quaint with a lovely outlook & the location was close to all the things to see in Freemantle. Our breakfasts were a good start to the day. We were warm & cosy.
The woman who looked after us was lovely
- fairiefloss2018 (10/5): Perfect spot, Beautiful accommodation. - I had a wonderful stay at Port Mill. The lady on reception was wonderful and helped me with my luggage. The breakfast was lovely and I had everything I would need in my room. Also the position is excellent, a very short walk to the markets, restaurants and bars. Will definitely return!
- Lauren (8/5): - Lovely ambience in the room. Felt like I have gone to a little Italy! Very cosy room, comfortable bed. Very large bathroom with large bath. Little balcony to sit and have a drink just wish I was able to see more than three walls. (A mural would be amazing here!)
Nice to be able to have breakfast of muesli, fruit, yogurt and banana bread. With juice or coffee, tea and herbal selections.
Only downfall! If someone in the room above and walks around in there shoes you can hear them. When they shower and flush toilet can be noisy too. (They may be able to hear us too).
- laurensH2860YR (8/5): Short but sweet! - Enjoyed our stay. Lovely ambiance as you get through the gate in to the courtyard with fountain in centre. Felt like we were in a little bit of Italy! Nice greeting at reception.
Very comfortable room. Breakfast looked awesome but we had to leave early so wasnât able to sit and enjoy. Unfortunately I did knocked the milk bottle and spilt the milk. (Bottle doesnât sit properly in the top of the fridge!)
If I was there longer I would have a had a long soak in that wonderful deep bath.
Was nice sitting on the little balcony having a drink even though I was looking at three brick walls! When there is someone above you, you can hear them when they are walking around. Noisey when there shower and toilet is running but maybe they can hear us too.
Maybe when I stay next time it will be longer and I will ask to get a room over the courtyard side!
- AdamnMarcia (10/5): Great location - Great location, very close to shops and restaurants that we wanted to visit.
Comfortable bed. Easy check in and out, breakfast was nice.
Would stay again.
- Lucy (10/5): - I really enjoyed my time here! It was such cute accomodation hidden away. Very clean and the breakfast was great!
- Dagmar (8/5): - Lovely place but finding a park was difficult. So we didnât bring our luggage as was too far to walk.
- wickedpinni (10/5): Overnight stay - Very French provincial.
Room is clean and adorable.
The continental breakfast was amazing and very fresh.
Cold not get the air conditioner to work besides fan and there were two exhaust fans in the bathroom but they did not work.
Very quick and informative check-in.
Would definitely stay again.
- Sara (10/5): - Easy to walk to transport and the beautiful aesthetic of Fremantle.
The neighbourhood is quiet.
Be aware that you need to use steps.
- Ralph (4/5): Lots of potential.. fails to deliver - So strange. I had trouble getting into the property, as the gate was broken. I never saw anyone who worked there, I guess itâs hard to find help. This one guy helped me with the broken gate, but he said he doesnât work there.
Breakfast? O, itâs inside the fridge. What fridge? O, itâs inside the furniture. What..? Itâs a B and B, no? I found this out from the maid who I happen to see.. so strange.
So expensive. So much potential to be a charming place.
- aprilhG4042WJ (10/5): Fab place to stay. - Loved the accommodation in a beautiful courtyard setting..the room was airy and bright well appointed and exceptionally clean. Nice light breakfast provided in the room.
Prime location walking distance to all Fremantle has to offer. Staff were warm and welcoming âșïž
- Nick67Perth (8/5): Sweet little BnB in a fantastic location - The Port Mill BnB was excellent. Great location, communicative hosts, and a beautiful little room with a delicious breakfast (continental) for the next morning. The only reason why I didn't mark it five stars was it was a little noisy - seemed to be a bit of truck noise from the street which kept us awake. Apart from that, it couldn't be faulted.
- Karen (10/5): - Stayed one night. Property is very charming and in great location. No lift and very narrow stairs can be awkward with luggage. We were very well looked after though, arriving a bit early and needing to stow our luggage. The wonderful House Keeping Lady (apologies didnât get her name) advised we could come back in an hour or so and when we did found she had taken our luggage up 2 flights to our room. Very delicious breakfast included. Would stay again.
- natashasE2048FU (10/5): A view of Italy from your window :) - I really enjoyed my stay here, i had a balcony view which was awesome and the room was well presented. The mini fridge even came with delicious banana bread and other treats! There was a superb wine bar just next door too. Great value for money and would definitely recommend. Thank you
- ameliabX9197OO (10/5): The perfect B&B in Fremantle! - The room was beautiful, very shabby chic/oldy worldy. It was clean and had everything we needed (towels, shower wash, kettle with tea, coffee and milk in the fridge) The breakfast was perfect. We had museli, fresh fruit, banana bread, yoghurts and apple juice. We ate our breakfast on our balcony which was the perfect setting. The courtyard is so beautiful, we felt like we were in Italy or France. The location is great - we didnât realise how central it was. It is off one of the main high streets and you can practically see the markets at the end of the road. If you walk the other way the Esplanade park is at the end of the road. Little creatures brewery and the water front is only a 5 minute walk away. Gage Road brewery (a must visit) is only a 10 minute walk away. There is a wine/cheese bar right next door and the best ice cream shop a few doors down (they make their own ice cream and cones!) There is also a French restaurant opposite. Peggyâs sandwhich shop is a short walk away and has the best focaccia sandwhiches. Could not have got a better location if we tried. We would definitely stay here again!
- timmyyamsorenid (10/5): Great location. - It was a great stay at Port B&B! The location is fantastic and the rooms were well equipped and comfortable. We only just got a little confused how to get in as we got in late in the afternoon but all was good! Will def stay again in Port Mill if we go back in Fremantle.
- 250peterg (8/5): Safe characterful property in heart of Fremantle. Steep stairs so avoid if thatâs a problem. - Superb location. Felt very secure. Small rooms but very quiet with good a/c. Small but adequate breakfast. Same every day so ready for a change by day 4! Steep stairs to get to our room. Never saw another living soul but late arrival procedure worked very well.
- katemY6226KS (10/5): Comfy cool lofty bedroom - very comfy cool lofty bed. an absolute treat! Would have loved a later check out time so I could have soaked up more time. Forgot to ask if there could be a later check out time so not sure if that can be arranged. Sweet little breakfast and milk was waiting for me in the fridge, fresh fruit cup and homemade banana bread! view over the courtyard was lovely, could have been in Tuscany! will defiantly be back for our next weekend away in Freo. Thank you
- Joanna (10/5): - Great little bed-and-breakfast in the heart of old Fremantle character building comfy bed lovely sheets. itâs behind locked gates and in a very active part of Fremantle. Real buzz , though of course a bit of noise comes with that.
- David (10/5): - Close to lots of options of dining and entertainment
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was such a good location and a very beautiful stay! It was so relaxing and perfect!
- gvella53 (10/5): Lovely stay at the Port Mill B&B - Excellent location, walking distance to all sightseeing. Bus and train stops nearby. Wonderful breakfast consisting of juice, muesli, yoghurt and banana bread. Clean. Quiet location. Air conditioning worked a treat in the hot weather. Happy to stay again.
- christinecA8302FY (10/5): Delightful French style bnb - Comfortable bnb in a delightful couryard setting with a French style feel. Close to some good restaurants and bars, and minutes from the market. Walking distance to quay and Fremantle sightseeing .Continental breakfast provided , comfortable bed and quiet situation.
- Liam (10/5): - Spectacular!! Will definitely be back again, highly recommended.
- O8027ULliamc (10/5): Brilliant! - Leeuwin room was spectacular, incredible balcony view and great location, quiet and very comfortable. Absolutely recommended for either short or long-term stay, Freo West End literally on the doorstep. Shall definitely be returning đđ»
- N6585TBjaninec (10/5): Touch of France in the heart of Fremantle - Great location right in the heart of Fremantle. Enter the gates and it is peaceful and quiet. You will like you are in France. Communication great. Highly recommend for a couples getaway. Great wine bar next door also. Breakfast was fresh and lovely
- Rhys (10/5): - Very cool boutique hotel. Clean rooms, smart TVs, perfect spot to walk to everything
- Anne (8/5): - Lovely stay in the heart of Freo.
Delightful breakfast.
- brianjX1832YK (6/5): Somewhat Disappointed - Very conveniently located and certainly met our needs in that regard. However, our room was tired and needs the attention of the maintenance man ... we were unable to get the television to operate and the woman at the end of the phone stated she "really cannot help" ... exhaust fans are installed in the bathroom but without switches so a steamy environment results. A pity !!
- 687susanh (6/5): Pretty Port Mill - This quaint B & B has a charming communal court yard with a cooling water feature tinkling away amongst the pots plants.
The host is supportive and helpful-very much behind the scenes and not intrusive.
The climb up 3 flights of narrow stairs with luggage was expected, as we had read the reviews, and whilst the room was spotlessly clean and provided a pretty balcony overlooking the courtyard, both the room and bathroom are a bit tired and in need of a makeover.
Itâs right next door to a great restaurant: The Cray, and within easy walking distance to Fremantle with its cosy cafes.
Nice to be able to open the balcony doors for fresh air, unlike a hotel room.
We felt safe to be in a gated complex.
The breakfast is fresh and simple.
- jnwaway (8/5): Courtyard property in an atmospheric town - A heritage property in a quiet flower-decked courtyard near the centre of Fremantle. There is an easy connection with Perth via the train. Fremantle is a lively and atmospheric place with lots to do. The room was not large, but comfortable with a nice balcony. A light, fresh breakfast was provided each day in our room.
- carolinecS2773LY (10/5): Beautiful B and B, feels like Europe - Gorgeous building and sweet room. The bed was very comfortable. Great location and good value. Breakfast was well set up. Was very quiet considering the central location.
Would happily stay again.
Also had a lovely dinner in Fremantle. Great for a romantic getaway. Stairs are narrow. So big luggage may be tricky. Still worth it
- Robert (10/5): - lovely character in handy location
- JasonD538 (10/5): Great value for the price - The Port Mill B&B was a quaint, quality, and safe accommodation for our travels through the Perth area. We loved the courtyard and the location and the price. The B&B is within walking distance of the harbor and breweries cafés and shopping.
- Joanne (10/5): - Very quaint. Comfy bed and nice and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Stuart (10/5): - Clean comfortable and a great location
- CarolW136 (10/5): Best location in Fremantle. - Great location in the center of Fremantle. Easy check in/out. Lovely room, full of character, comfy bed & pillows, very quiet. Large bathroom with separate shower & bath (didn't get time to use unfortunately). Everything we needed, including fruit, yogurt and Banana bread for breki. We will stay again
- Valerie (10/5): - Lovely place with loads of character. Would not hesitate to stay there again. A real gem.
- Freda655 (6/5): Good location but disappointing services - The location of the B&B is excellent. However customer services need improvement : - 1. Before confirmation of the booking, the Facility didn't reply to our request if the room balcony faces the wall, which we were supposed to avoid. 2. We selected twin -bed room during booking but instead we got a large bed. 3. The chain of keys which was supposed to be collected in the envelope with a letter at the facility desk was not there. We called all phone numbers given during booking and in the letter but received no answer. We were so helpless that we almost had to resort to another accommodation until another guest came and helped. 3. The dirty towels were not replaced after use.
- Verity (10/5): - Fabulous heritage in the middle of Fremantle
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really confortable accomodation, well insulated from the noise and bustle of the surroundng area. Beautiful oasis in the heart of Fremantle. Recommend.
- Peter (10/5): Hidden gem - What a little hidden gem. Port Mill B&B is a great location in the centre of Fremantle. We checked ourselves in with no issue - instructions provided were thorough and clear. Our room was very clean (spotless) and we had a king size bed. Continental breakfast was included...we had a great stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful property in the heart of Fremantle. The building itself was stunning and everything was set up perfectly from check in to breafsst.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A querky place, lovely. Feels very French Provincial
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location easy walk to everything. Pub and restaurant at the door. The free bus is at the bottom of the road. But most things are and easy stroll.
- Phillip (10/5): Charming B&B in Central Fremantle - Port Mill B&B is located in a charming European style townhouse development in an historic old flour mill in the centre of Fremantle with easy walking to all the points of interest. The continental breakfast left in your room daily was generous and most appreciated. We would stay there again if in Fremantle. Good free wifi.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - liked the building and location. Didn't like the room or service
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Historic building in great location. We went out for breakfast to local cafes rather than using the continental breakfast supplied with room
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No onsite parking need to pay at council carpark near the beach
- philippa (6/5): - The B&B is situated in a perfect place and is in a beautiful courtyard.
However, never saw anyone/staff during our two day stay. The bedroom wasnât the cleanest and the sheets had stains on them. Continental Breakfast was very minimal but ok.
The people who were staying in the other room were very noisy. Doors banging, shouting at 11.30pm on the Saturday night.
The whole experience was supposed to have been a relaxing weekend away. We were very disappointed and couldnât wait to leave.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Price has doubled, but the service has halved. - My partner and I have stayed at this hotel many times and always had an enjoyable experience. Unfortunaly the hotel had been taken over by new owners and the price has nearly doubled but the service has halved. Good quality food has been swapped for cheap alternatives. On this stay last week it was too much to ask for butter with my toast I was given one sachet for breakfast with my two pieces of toast my wife and had two pieces aswell, when I asked for a bit more I was only given one more sachet. The previous owners were friendly and courteous and gave us breakfast vouchers for a lovely little boutique cafe next door. Now breakfast is toast or cereal and cheap biscuits. A really lovely spot to stay in the heart of Fremantle but the new changes are disappointing and we will not return, itâs cheaper to stay at the Espanade now and much better service.
- Graham (8/5): Beautiful courtyard garden - Fantastic location, walking distance to many Fremantle attractions. The nearest all day parking is about 150 metres away and costs $11/day. The people in the unit above us had showers at odd times which woke us up each night but that would not happen with every stay.
- gail (8/5): Handy to everything - Very nice place. Would stay again but get a ground floor carrying two bags up 2 flights of stairs was not fun
- peter (8/5): Great location - Great location, comfortable and quiet. Top place for a weekend away. Excellent breakfast at the cafe across the road.
- Angeka (8/5): Excellent location - Fabulous location and setting. Loved having a balcony. Friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Comfortable & Quirky - Great alternative to the usual hotel stay. Very welcoming accommodation feels like an escape in itself, nice to get back to after a long day out.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice accomodation. Close to cafe strip. - The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and fresh. Had that old worldly feeling to make you think you are away on holidays. Great location, only 3 doors from the cafe strip, markets and hotels/pubs
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good for a quiet getaway. - Great for couples, close to free CAT bus and all attractions. Next door is a chocolate shop and a wine bar.
- Vincent (8/5): Great central location - Pleasant stay, good air conditioning which was a relief as the weather was very hot, nice bar located next door, central Fremantle location near large park. Need to factor in parking cost unless using public transport. Very comfy bed. Recommend asking for room with balcony view of courtyard as we did not have one although perhaps this was why it was so quiet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Beautiful B&B and great location but rate would be better lowered
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent location and lovely breakfasts.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great location - Had a great 4 night stay. All staff where friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy, enjoyed the fresh fruit that was provided daily. Breakfast was at a café across the road, a big thumbs up food and coffee great. It's only minutes to the main street, markets, fisherman's wharf. Recommend the chocolate shop at the entrance for the best hot chocolate and cookies.
- Chris (10/5): Quaint B & B that provides many in-room extras - Quaint B & B that provides many little extras in your room. Ask for a ground floor room if you have limited mobility as narrow stairs and no lifts make this property a challenge otherwise.
- Verified traveler (10/5): AMAZING PLACE! - I have never felt more at home than I did at Port Mill B&B. Cannot recommend higher - it is a MUST if you are staying in Fremantle!
- Deb (10/5): Close to everything. Great feel to the room. - Lovely place, great breakfast from the cafe across the road. Comfortable and clean. Lovely little touches like fruit and juice in the room. Our room had a bath, and laundry facilities.
- Cheryle (10/5): Felt like Europe - The accommodation had a lovely European feel. It felt safe and the ambient feel was calm. Shopping, dining and driving was easy and convenient. A good selection of teas and coffee satchels, biscuits and sweet treats. Love it!
- Cathrine (8/5): Lovely room with very nice straight touches - The room was lovely and had great coffee making and extras like fruit and biscuits.
Only issue was that I had early risers upstairs and it was a bit noisy but not the hotels fault!
I enjoyed my stay.
- j & b (6/5): - B&b to me means just that. Not bed and a voucher. We had to walk to a cafe in the rain and wind with voucher in hand for breakfast. Voucher covered food and hot drinks were extra. Not impressed for $239 for the night
- Verified traveler (10/5): A touch of France in Fremantle - Quiet, quaint and well positioned in the middle of town. A perfect getaway retreat.
- catherine (10/5): Loved it - Really comfortable and charming. So full of character.
Great position. Loved Fremantle too.
Beautiful architecture and lovely courtyard.
Super comfy bed, nice room with balcony.
Helpful welcoming staff and lovely touches e.g fruit for the room, sun lotion in the foyer.
Excellent breakfast in 'Two Rubens' across the road. Wish I could have stayed longer. The best place we stayed on our 3 week trip in WA.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Accomidation was in a great location. - Breakfast vouchers were great at the cafe across the road.
Only inconvenience is no parking on site, so a little walk but not easy with your luggage, also becomes costly.
- Sandra (8/5): Excellent B&B set in Period townhouse complex - Located in historic downtown Fremantle Walking distance to many sites. Friendly helpful staff. Great breakfast cafe across street. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
- Weekend away (10/5): Bliss - What else can I say? The complementary breakfast at Rubio's Cafe across the road was excellent. The thick limestone walls had great character and the practical benefit of providing good sound insulation to the benefit of our fellow guests and neighbours.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfectly located - This quaint Bed and Breakfast is in the heart of Fremantle, less than five minutes walk to the restaurant strip and the markets. Breakfast is provided by The Two Reubens cafe which is across the road and while their choice of breakfast dishes is relatively limited, the food is excellent and the service quick and efficient. Only downside is that they do not open for breakfast until 7.30 on weekdays which can be inconveniently late if one is intending to catch a morning plane in Perth or attend an early opening conference at the Notre Dame University.
We rarely saw the staff at the Bed and Breakfast which was just perfect as it provided us with our privacy. Our room overlooked the adorable courtyard - so reminiscent of Europe.
Overall a beautiful and restful Bed and Breakfast.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - Within walking distance to shops, harbour, markets, etc.
Overnight parking easy to get too.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Fawlty Towers - The rooms were tired and the bathroom was old and the shower had peeling paint and the water was all over the place except downwards! The reception was non existent as they were at another property and the 'breakfast' was at another premises which opened too late. Overall really disappointing.
- Kat (10/5): A little slice of Tuscany or similar - The place is beautiful, in a great location and the staff are friendly and helpful!
- Marisa & Andrew (8/5): In the heart of Fremantle - We stayed here for our Anniversary. It was lovely. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. We stayed in the Leeuwin which had a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Central location. Walking distance to everything. Breakfast at "Two Reubans" (cafe across the road) was excellent. Yummy food, plenty
of choice and friendly service. Would
definately go there again!

- Damien (8/5): A good choice - Well located and good service. The rooms are comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
- nicki (8/5): Great location in Freo - Room was small but in a delightful setting and close to everything. Breakfast option and voucher across the road at two Rubens was great as food their was excellent.
Lovely stay and recommend as different to the 'normal' hotel/ motel stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Friendly host. Good location. - A comfortable and homely B&B with good on site parking and helpful friendly hosts.
- Dennis (8/5): Nice - Nice position Hotel is very nice with excellent staff. As we are both over 70 the stairs to the rooms are too difficult.Staff helped with cases but even had to go out downs stair for breakfast was hard work. Our bodies are still suffering. Pity no ground floor rooms.
