summerw257 (2/5): Filthy and Disgusting - This motel is very disgusting. The whole place needs a total renovation. From balcony to room and bathroom is a total mess. We really regret spending a night. The beds have blood stains or some kind of red stains all over(maybe beds have been there since day one and never changed), pillows are smelly, stains and old. That must been there over a year ago or more. I am advising everyone to find somewhere else to stay, this place is filthy more than where pigs live. Whoever In change must be very uncaring, hade no soul, to think of allowing people to stay in such a filthy environment. I am very angry😡😡😡😡, very heartless to still such a place in existence. I do not recommend this place, even if it is free. STAY AWAY if you do not want to develop health issues. Filthy disgusting to the CORE! I wish there was no star to rate this filthy disgusting garbage place.

Anne (6/5): - I was staying in a family room with 2 teenagers and was woken at 2am with a dreadful fight going on outside the language that came out of the females mouth was disgusting they seemed to be in a permanent room. We were near the highway which was a concern about the noise but it was quiet to the fight I heard. All you ask when you are staying overnight is quite so you can sleep this didn’t happen. When i spoke to the manager about the incident the next morning they appeared not to care they already had my payment for the room.
Terri (6/5): - The beds were not very comfortable. Even though we had booked for 3 people and the room slept 4 we only had 2 glasses and 2 coffee cups. There also needs to be a pest protection performed as there were a couple of small cockroaches. The people in the next room were noisy and the language was disgusting as there was an argument that escalated to the point where the owner had to intervene.

brucedG4368UT (2/5): Property not as advertised - Unfortunately i cant say anything positive about this property. Some back ground we were looking for a hotel that was central to the locations were were visiting and the location of the hotel fit that bill. We needed a property that was available for 8 nights also. We looked online and the property looked fine (images) and reviews from trip.com customers gave 4.7/5. We arrived at 8pm in torrential rain (weekend of floods in Brisbane). Upon checking in when trying to get into the room we had to shoulder bump the door to open it. Once in the room we immediately noticed the bar fridge turned off. There was a trip hazard (floor lifting). The back of the door did not have a chain, it had a Drop bolt ( where you slide it an can put a padlock to prevent opening..( this did not provide confidence in the security of the room if we were out). Further things we found . There was no blanket on the Double bed. we went to use the blanket on the single bed and it had multiple stains giving the impression it had not been washed for a while (luckily we had our own). according to the website there was supposed to be spare pillows. There were not. These may not seem that surmountable however they are beginning to accumulate. Due to the late hour of checking in ( and potential lack of availability of an alternative accommodation due to the Torrential rain and prepaying for eight days we opted to "suck it up" initially. The following morning we went out about 10 am and did not return to the property till 9pm. Upon return we found the the room had not been serviced ( From Trip.com website daily room servicing). Bed had not been made. Towels not replaced. Noting the weather at the time ( constant rain) the towels were still wet from a shower the previous night. This only added to the poor impression of the room from the previous night. As a result we decided to identify more issues in detail Apart from those listed above the following issues were also noted. ( I have images to support these claims) Room itself had not be properly cleaned for months.. - accumulated dust on top of air-conditioner. - pile of dust on cord for air-conditoner - windows not cleaned ( tracks full of dirt) - Tiles in bathroom under sink had layer of dirt - light fittings full of bugs Rooms were supposedly refurbished in 2016 - large cracks on wall near window in bathroom - smoke detector removed from room - Bathroom sink table edge paint unfinished. and badly stained. Images and info on trip.com were not representative of actual condition of room or hotel ( potential for false advertising) - View from window on website showed lovely garden. Actual view was of a junkyard with corrugated iron sheets. broken down Bus, Broken down caravan, car trailer status unknown and generally unkempt garden - image of pool on website is nice and blue - actual pool was green and appeared not to be clean potential algea - Website stated a restaurant and bar ( ability for breakfast in restaurant) - Actual Restaurant not open and access to it was blocked by objects vacuum cleaners etc - Website showed clean drive ways etc. - actual - derelict appliances ( fridges, washing machine, conditioners microwaves littered driveway beside rooms. - website listed facilities in room that were not provided Upon closer thought we contacted trip.com who did manage assist in cancelling our booking and facilitated a partial refund with the hotel for the remaining nights. When checking out . the manager admitted they failed to provide us with a sheet of paper which detail room cleaning process (blaming lack thereof on COVID). essentially it stated that if we required room to be cleaned we had to contact reception (if manned) to organise a time when we would not be in room. IF we wanted towels changed we were to place them in a basket outside of room and new ones would be placed back in basket. ( ironically if this process had been provided in the first instance and followed upon return to the room they fresh towels would have been soaked as the basket was out in open. Notwithstanding many other hotels do not have the same issues with servicing a room even with COVID around. Although the manager was helpful in allowing our early cancellation and refund.. in general the property appears to suffer from a lack of staff which has occurred way before COVID. This property is definitely NOT value for money. as for the price we paid we would have been able to obtain a much cleaner and serviced room

Finally got to my room and there was no heat nor promised wifi service. On checkout I called out to see if anyone was there and someone just yelled out to leave the key.

Bathroom wall cladding was loose and falling away in corners. Main room walls were unclean, left splattered with 'something'. Air conditioner did not work. Shower hot water was the 'saving grace' - it was good.

Good meal facilities in the room although utensils and crockery limited to tea and coffee making. Verified traveler (4/5): - Although this motel is in a great location being just off the motorway, definitely wouldn’t recommend it. It’s a dump! The whole place needs some TLC. The motel looks old and worn and the surrounds are overgrown. The place is in need of repair and a good lick of paint. One wouldn’t dare swim in the pool as it was green with algae. The green areas around the pool were, also, overgrown and the back of the pool chair was laden with mould. The room seemed clean enough, but was outdated! Room items need to be renovated, especially the very much aged bathroom whose window opens onto a small dark corridor. The room window overlooked and opened onto a messy and overgrown backyard. Would never stay here again, unless there’s a great change to bring it to a more than 1-2 star rating, when visiting the area next time.

annsS7579VZ (2/5): hell on earth - we paid 900 for 9 days stay. Got told it was a big discount in which was the first lie. Nothing on there lists for the rooms exist. Theres no microwave, no pay TV, dodgy TV signals, told not to use air conditioning, no minimal, no soundproofing, no pool(its empty and vile, told I couldn't use there laundromat unless I paid more money. Given only one night of towels and coffee and milk pouches. Told if we wanted more towels that we needed to pay for them. We went to clean the room ourselves and emptied rubbish into there big bins outside. Just for them to rush over and lock it up. Now there's no bins. Nothing on the amenities lists exist and even one guy was crying as he couldn't get them to acknowledge him for his deposit back. The wife can't speak English, only Chinese and wasn't very welcoming at all. For 900 we were left in a room with no amenities as promised and a big food bill every day . My poor son was told if he wanted the wifi that he needed to go sit outside somewhere as the wifi didn't work in the units. They play dumb and act like there doing you a deal with a broken down place with everything broken and ripping people off badly. I warn people to not go near there. They have no intentions on fixing property or making there amenities list true. Im absolutely appalled at our treatment. As a pensioner, I was totally ripped off and not one thing existed there. I plan on taking them to small claims. Don't go there. below is horrible tv reception, only normal channels. And only jug and toaster given. No mini fridge, littleand brokenfreezer. Hopeless, no clean towels. Same ones for over a week that I went and bought some. at all. Be warned

NiraE_13 (2/5): Worst experience of my life! - The description stated the motel was recently renovated! I have never stayed in the more disgusting place in my life! The place is a pig sty ,filthy ,everything in the room was filthy! In the whole time we were there not once(8 days!) the bed linen was changed!.We had to ask for a replacement kettle as the one in the room was so dirty, we couldn't touch it! The same with toaster & fridge! The floors have not been washed for days! The vent in the shower was just an open hole! Lucky for us, there were no rats or mice falling through! There are some permanent residents living on the property & ongoing fights,continuous visits by strange characters, screaming & banging of the doors was pretty frightening! Everything on the photos looks quite reasonable,but in reality it is complete opposite inside & outside,dusty, dirty,unkempt! Really surprised how health department hasn't paid a visit to this place! Never again!And the worse thing was to be charged double the price of any reasonable place in town!

We were staying along the back units and when you drive around, there is big pile of junk for everyone to see. The grounds and gardens need some serious attention. Website states room had some upgrades, but our couch still have 2 massive rips in it. Bathroom needs a good clean or upgrade. Staff were friendly. The young girl that checked us in, was so lovely and very attentive. Although, on the second day, we tried to report something and the older lady who spoke to us, couldn't speak English so it was very hard to communicate. We wouldn't stay here again.
Gary A (4/5): Poor accomodation - Place was a little run down. Looked in a poor state of repairs and some of the internal furniture was falling apart (for example bathroom cabinets).We stayed in an an upgraded room so not sure what thd standard room was like. However the room was clean and had a/c and fox tv so we had a comfortable night. The service was not v good and receptionist / owner kept muttering things under his breath!
Judy (6/5): Shabby look belies comfort and service - The only complaint about the motel is the presentation of the whole package. The service was great, the towels soft and fluffy, the room was largely renovated (bathroom was still a bit old), there was air con, there was a good TV. Nothing to complain about there. The look of the entire motel is a bit offputting though. The garden overgrown, old bus in carpark, building materials beside windows. All of this contributed to a look of dereliction. The cleanliness of the outside is usually a reflection of the inside - luckily this was not the case. The shabby look of the motel does not invite us to return. If the owners put some work into the presentation, then the motel would be a gem.
Peterm2350 (4/5): Disappointing - Photos of motel are misleading. External presentation Zero stars. Looks like a third world junk yard. Our room was passable. Manager and staff were friendly and breakfast was good but there is much more to running a motel than that.

C0ralsea (10/5): Good price, clean place and friendly staff - My husband and me enjoyed staying at the motel for six nights. Affordable price, clean big rooms, staff is polite, helpful and friendly. It is not far from the city. The most important for us was to stay with our dog as the motel is pet friendly. Thank you for the good job!

52BrianC52 (6/5): Great place to stay for a few nights. - The motel is quite dated but for a few nights is very acceptable. It is hard to find in the night time but not impossible if patience and a good sat nav is used. The rooms are kept very clean a bit of mould in the bathroom but that was not unexpected due to Qlds high humidity sometimes. We arrived around 7pm and thought we would be to late to order dinner but the manager said no problems we will bring your meal to your room. Chicken stir fry was delicious and there was plenty on the plate. Wish I could remember the managers name, he was very helpful and new what he was talking about. Well mannered and courteous. Will stay there again if I need to go to the area again. Clean room, great service and lots of respect. No complaints.
shell (2/5): Didn't feel safe - We stayed an hour until I could find other accom. First they couldnt find our booking, then we waited while they made the beds, the room had an interconnecting door to the next room that the lock didn't work so a chair was put in front of it. I opened the curtains and saw a metal fence that had the whole panel trampled down and there was a spare block with car bodies right next to the fence with what I suspect was people staying in the cars at night. Seriously happy to pay another $160 to get another hotel.... we have travelled all around the world so have stayed in a variety of accom but this was by far the worst mistake ever!

micahm584 (6/5): Alright, but not great - As you can see, most of the reviews are 2/3 years ago. I am not sure if it has changed or not, but the quality of the reception and rooms aren't that good. I can say that the rooms aren't bad, nothing broken or anything, but I can tell you that there is NO activities and enjoyable stuff to do (except the pool which was out of service when we went). If you were finding a cheap place to stay in Brisbane quickly, this would be a good place, but it isn't luxury! And if you want a room with Wi-Fi, the rooms close to the reception are the only ones that you can access it.

It was right down the back of the Motel so although it is on a busy road the room we were in was really quiet. The bed was a little firm but still quite comfortable. Staff were friendly and efficient
JohnM (8/5): Motel was good although access is difficult - Had difficulty finding motel but when found had a quiet room with no Wi Fi access. The room looked out over green fields with trees in the distance which was lovely. The weather was cold but the airconditioner heating was excellent.

dave (4/5): Basic motel on busy highway - The room and bed was comfortable.The veiw out the window was a pile of junk coveted with an old tarp next to an old shipping container .the bathroom was very tired tiles missing blackened silocone in the small old style shower cabinet.The smoke detector was missing and the room had cockroaces. Not great value for money.

407trevora (8/5): Very Helpful staff who seemed to really care - The hotel is right on the Ipswich Motorway. The hotel is old, but renovated now, and very comfortable. The rates were comparable to anyone elses, and it seemed reasonable given the amenities. It's clean and tidy and I would stay here again.

Jud (4/5): Bed bugs... - We had stayed at this motel many years ago and had a pleasant experience, however, the same can't be said for this trip. On our first night, we all went to bed after a 10 hour drive, only to be bitten on legs and bodies by, what we can only presume were bed bugs!! The airconditooner was filthy and didn't work and neither did the television, while parts of the shower were held together with duct tape. After the first night, we really didn't want to stay for a second night, but had already fully paid, so felt we had no choice. When we were leaving, we checked the room like we always do, and under the beds there were old socks and the floor was covered in dirt and fluff, so obviously cleaning isn't a priority. Won't be staying again.
Minnie (4/5): - We were accommodated in two different units during our two week stay. The first unit had not seen any renovations for some time. The second unit had been renovated but there was damage in the bathroom that really needed to be fixed and not just patched with brochures and grey tape! We could have left and found something else but where we tried, (and there were 4 of us), motels were booked out due to the school holidays.

Pedro1201 (6/5): Functional and Comfortable Motel - This Motel is located alongside the Ipswich Motorway and is very difficult to access especially for strangers in town at night. A few roadside direction signs to the entrance would be very helpful. The motel is fairly old and dated and the grounds maintenance leaves a bit to be desired, but the rooms are good size with most of the usual facilities available. The large double bed was comfortable and despite the proximity to the Motorway, very little traffic noise was heard. A lot of tradies use this motel, so be prepared for diesel utes being started and warmed in the early hours of the morning. There must be some sort of dog training area nearby as there were a number of dog "caravans" staying there during my visit. Friendly and helpful reception staff, a limited but well presented menu in the on site restaurant.
BigGBrisbane (8/5): Good Motel in the Suburbs - Its a good clean motel in the western suburbs of Brisbane adjacent to a main arterial road - Ipswich Road. Whist a little outdated in its appearance, the rooms have been updated recently and are quite comfortable. We had a good nights sleep, the bed was great but why only 1 pillow each? There were no extra pillows in the cupboard. Whilst the room we were in was updated, the bathroom was not. All it recd was a coat of paint, however it was clean. I would love to meet the painter who did the job as it was amazing in the way the paint was applied as no item missed out and a straight line could not found anywhere. Character maybe or the guy was not familiar with his tools :) We had the breakfast included - tasty but sparse in its offering as you were only 'allowed' one type of drink so if you wanted OJ then you couldn't order coffee!! The restaurant was clean but left over from the '80's in its decor!! Let's put it in context, a well located clean and comfortable motel for a very reasonable tariff.

Zeberdy2019 (8/5): Receptionist brightness and bubbles made my day - It isn't a palace but it is definitely functional and pleasant. Looks a bit rough on the outside but our room was clean and comfortable. Receptionist Lin was bright bubbly and helpful to the max. It is on the highway so noise is expected and you must remember your turn off or have a gps to get you out of a bind. Stairs and upstairs railing are not good for the headspin lot. This place needs a bit of TLC to make it look fabulous outside but otherwise itmwasmexactly what we needed.
MartinM179 (4/5): My experience at the Centenary motor Inn - Hi, I was looking for accommodation close to my son's place for a party on Saturday night, 8th Dec. 2012. When I looked it up, I found two other reviews indicating it wasn't a very good place to stay, when I rang up to inquire about a room, I mentioned the two reviews and they said they are a business motel and they do allow dogs in trailers in the yard. I decided to go with it, as it wasn't dog season, we were very disappointed with the room. At $115, I would expect something better than a room with torn curtains, gyprock and painting work that was VERY amateurish, a big crack in the vanity, a noisy fridge that froze everything in it, grass that doesn't get cut very often and hot water that takes 30 to 50 seconds to come through to the shower, even though they have signs up asking us to conserve water!! What a joke, don't bother.
